If we own at SSR and buy add on points at AKV do we now have an additional set of maintanence fees? Sorry, but I haven't been able to find anything to answer this.

Yes, you pay maintenance fees on any and all points that you own.

And each resort has different MF amounts per point.

Currently AKV has some of the lowest dues of any of the DVC resorts (I believe only 2 others have lower dues).

Whether this trend will continue is anyone's guess but I was pleasantly surprised that it was one of the lowest considering the added attraction of the animals. I assume they pay for them mainly with conservatory funds and don't have to burden the owners with the cost of their care.
