Feelings on nudists

It usually is for me whe I am (but I am not a nudist just not always a "clothist?":rotfl2:) Honestly, I think your feeling that others cannot choose to be naked simply for the sake of being comfortable (I beleive more natural is also sometimes the iven reason) speaks volumes about why you are uncomfortable with it. You want to ascribe negative reasons for this which probably really aren't there for most people. I really don't think it is fair to project your feelings about lack of clothing onto others who do not share those views.

I truly have no issues with people being nude, its just a body. Granted some are less attractive (not from a sexual point of view) than others and I'd rather not see it while going about my everyday business but I don't care if people want to be naked all the time. I just don't buy the whole "I'm just so comfortable with myself that I choose not to wear clothes" thing. There are millions of people who are just as comfortable with their bodies that do not go around nude, so yes to me that means that the people who choose a clothes free lifestyle do it for other deeper reasons. You are free to disagree with me and thats fine, but you are missing the mark on why I feel that way. Which BTW aren't you projecting your feelings onto me because you don't share my view, maybe you should take your own advice :flower3:

I don't think I am projecting my feelings onto you (but maybe i am subconciously:confused3:flower3:). I am certainly not trying to say WHY I believe you prefer to always wear clothes. I don;t know if it is because you are uncomfortable with your body image (others have sugested that as a reason on this thread-not me), or always cold, or have religious befliefs about covering your body, or jsut like to do what you have always done, or what. I would tend to believe you if you chose to share why you wear clothes. You have done nothing to ive me a reason not to trust you. The fact that you do not trust people, who have presumably given you no reason not to trust them, when they say why they are not interested in wearing clothes is what makes me think you have something you are projecting. You are essentially saying that what they state as their reason are not really their reasons and i just don't see how you can know that or have any real reaason to believe that unless you take issue in some way with their behaviour in the first place. I guess I am projecting the idea that I have that I do not assume people would want to lie to me about their reason for why they live their life differently as the norm so I am assuming you must have more going on than just that. maybe you are just naturally distrustful of people who do things differently (which is sounding like I mean it as an insult when I read it here in type but I assure you I do not at all:flower3:).

 I know you aren't trying to insult me, but your posts are so ironic. You seem to have all my deeper issues figured out :rotfl:
I never said they are lying, I'm sure they are very comfortable with their bodies. In fact if they weren't I'm pretty sure that they wouldn't go around naked :confused3 However when one, or a group of people go against the norms of society, there are usually deeper reasons behind it, thats all. There is nothing really more sinister about my comment, I'm not distrusting of people whose views I don't share, I just happen to remember those psychology classes I took almost 2 decades ago :)

I remember reading once that bare ankles are just as provocative as bare breasts--it is all in how they are presented. I guess I feel that way about it. The human body just doing normal things (including changing or being at the doctor, etc) is not sexual in and of it itself to me. It is a flirty smile or provactive movement, etc which does that whether dressed or not. It have never had a need to "control myeslf" while changing in a locker room or undressing for a doctor and I never thought about others needing to either:confused3 I think someone who truly has a need to control themselves in such a situation has bigger problems than simply keeping clothed will fix.

I was tired and that was the best way I could think of wording it at the time. Behaving professional or something similar would have probably been a better way of wording it.

i have no problem with nudists as long as they do it in the correct areas. stay in the clothing opitional areas for the people who dont want to see it.

Okay. I get that, I have often posted when too tired and had it not come out right:flower3:. I am still (genuinly) confused though. If I am in a locker room, I change clothes. I behave pretty much the same way as I do when changing at home (the big difference is my belonings are not in the same places). I truly cannot imaine how, or why, I (or any one else) would behave more professionally or whatever. I am truly curious as to what behaviour you expect to see occur while dressing in a semi public place as compared to in the privacy of your own home:confused3 I am not saying you are wrong about this--I just wonder what I am missing:confused3

It's OK for attractive adult females and babies. Everyone else should be dressed in public.

OK, since I'm attracted to men only, I'll go with this example. If I were in a changing room with an attractive unrelated adult naked male, I would have to consciously think about not staring. I would be fully capable of not staring, but there would be a part of me that would be curious.

The behaving professionally would also extend to not making inappropriate jokes (I think this one would be more a problem for teenage boys, or teenage boys at heart).

But in a same sex dressing room, I wouldn't think twice about it.

It's way too cold here for that :lmao:

There is a nudist campground not far from here, I don't camp and I don't do nudist colonies but if that makes them happy its fine with me

I have no problem with the idea of nudity. I knew a couple who were nudists in their home. It didn't bother me in the least. Personally, I couldn't do it. Maybe I could have many years ago. I'll admit it. I really don't want anyone to see me naked. I don't like the way I look, so I won't force anyone else to see me in the buff.

Whatever floats your boat, but I'm not doing it!

I hate my body clothed, I avoid wearing a bathing suit in public, so I would never go to one, and even if I loose the weight, the stretch marks are still there...

For me it was not so much the nudity as the re-applying sunblock every 30 minutes.

Years ago I worked as a roofing shingle delivery driver here in Florida. We got a delivery in one of the colonies. The one thing that sticks in my memory the most, and this is not of the 80 or so yr old gal that came up to the truck waving as we entered, was of an old guy in his front yard doing some carpentry work.Had his hammer out swinging vigorously, and I mean both swinging, with the board in use lining up pretty well. Now I've hit my thumb with a hammer.......lol

Some work should be done with clothes.Ha!
