Feeling strange and abit guilty....

My daughters have played together all morning without me!

There is only 14 months between so I seem to have spent so many years entertaining them or refereeing them but today I feel a spare part.

I've noticed over these last few months they have become more independent and on the odd occassion I've actually sat down with a drink and watched a bit of TV (thats' not kids TV) or read a magazine. However, lately this is becoming the norm and dare I say it my life has become soooo much easier!

While i've been on the PC they've got their dance mats out and set them up on there own and are now dancing away? Where did the time go?

Now i'm starting to feel a bit guilty and wonder should I be playing with them more?

You might think this is a mad post but it actually feels very strange

oh i know what you mean !! i have 25mins each day in the lounge on my own...its the rule ! (i watch neighbours ) my two are 10 and 7 and they pay really well together x x

Oh I understand I have an 11,7 and 4 yr old and sometimes it seems that all they do is fight. I would just sit back and enjoy it.

enjoy your free time, mine used to play really well together, however they are now all teenagers 16, 15 and almost 13 with far two much testosterone racing around.
They just want to beat each other at everything, what starts out friendly always end up as out and out war!!! The plus side is they dont want to be seen dead with Mum and dad at the moment, unless its dinner time, so we are getting a lot of free time

i know what you mean my 3dd has started to entertain herself..you feel like you should be helping or entertain them...
i grab these moments to get on the dis..or do some housework (well sometimes the housework )
