While I realize that the Jambo Value Studios are like gold and disappear immediately, I have just been told that a wheelchair accessible version of that room doesn't even exist. Which is not what I was told when purchasing.

Since I am not the kind of person who would walk a room, or get up at the crack of dawn, I realize that I probably wouldn't have gotten the rooms anyway, so I don't know if it would have kept me from buying. But It may have pushed me towards a different resort. I'll never know and I wish I did.

I thought others have stated there was one HA value room. I would think they would have been required to, since they sold the Jambo first. I would think the odds of getting it would be very hard.

There is one HA Value lock off. It is a real unicorn to book.

I would never advise buying AKV with expectation of regular Value booking regardless.

They actually are not required to have HA rooms in all categories and don't. They tend to but for example at BLT there are no accessible HA rooms in the TPV category and may not be in the standard view either. They are in the lakeview category.

VGC has no studios with roll in showers - only accessible tubs. And that would be under CA's watchful eye.

I just looked and the info you were told by MS is correct. There is no HA accessible with roll in shower in the value room category. There is an HA accessible with tub but it is in the 1BR so at best you have the option for an HA accessible value 1BR or 2BR with tub.

I am sorry you were told incorrect information when you purchased. That has happened to people over the BLT HA room categories too.

There is an HA roll in shower option for standard view at Jambo and that appears to be it. It is also not an option for Concierge level nor apparently for savannah view where the HA is on the 1BR side.

However Kidani has HA studios with both roll in showers and tubs in standard view and savannah view.

5010, which is a Value 1BR, is HA with tub.

There is a possibility the studio attached is not HA. The 1BR would make the 2BR HA by default, but the studio may be standard.

The online booking tool allows you to search HA room types and it shows you the options. No HA value studios of any kind.

Even with DVC HA dedicated 2BR's it's typical for only the master to have the HA features. But it isn't atypical to have HA rooms connecting in a lock-off. Just not at AKV Jambo though. AKV Jambo doesn't have the HA studios though in all categories. I knew concierge level didn't have them but hadn't looked to closely at others for awhile.

I did buy where I want to stay, and I knew they might not be available. This was about being told that they existed when they don't.

Are there some rooms in BLT not available as HA?

At BLT the fully accessible rooms with either roll in shower or accessible tubs are all in the lakeview category. There are zero in either the standard view or theme park view. They do face towards the north - MK side though.

And it depends on the accessibility that you need. There are FL and hearing accessible in standard view at BLT and Jambo has a few more of those too.

Last year we stayed in a Jambo Savannah view studio (lock off) with a roll in shower. A CM told me when I made the reservation it "would be assigned" at check in. At check in I confirmed our request (thankfully I had the printed reservations with my original notes with me) and the CM had to make a phone call and we ended up with Savannah view and I got my roll in shower thankfully.

You may or may not know but if you are within 10 days of signing the contractor you can cancel the purchase.

I do know that. But the excitement level is still high even with this revelation. Our long term plan has us moving past the value rooms anyway, so this is more of a bother than a game changer.
