To those of you who have the early seating at dinner, did you feel rushed on port days to get ready? We are planning on doing several different excursions, and were wondering how this all worked out in the end... Changing our dinner time is not an option because we will be travelling with my young niece also.

I never felt rushed....I like the early seating, the late one is so late that I could never go to sleep soon after eating so much food! The late seating people have their shows before dinner so they have to stop what they are doing to see the shows if they want to see them early too. I was on another cruise line and they had their late seating shows after late seating not before but Disney does them before.

never felt rushed once. St. Thomas you are back on the ship and leaving before dinner begins anyway, same with CC (assuming Eastern) and St. Maarten we had such a great day that we were ready to come back and relax, shower and get ready before 6 anyway. No didn't feel rushed at all on any of the days. Didn't feel we missed out on anything and my DS6 wouldn't have made it later on most nights anyway, he was wiped. There is always the sit down at Topsiders if you run late on any excursion or room service.

We never felt rushed. We were on the May 8 Western and also had the early dinner. We didn't do any excursions. We only spent a few hours at each port because my daughters wanted to go swimming. They are 7.6 and 3.

So it was enough time for us to get ready for dinner.

We did feel rushed the day we were at Key West on the 7 night Western cruise. That is one reason we moved to late dining. For now on, though, we will probably go with early. I think Key West is the only port that you may feel rushed from early dining.

The day we were in Cozumel we took the all day ruins tour and got back about 4. Wanted to see Cozumel and the shops so we stayed in town and skipped dinner. Got back to the ship about 9 and had dinner from the places on Deck 9. Not bad and we got to see everything we wanted, felt we wouldn't be back there for a while so missing dinner was not a problem.

We didn't feel rushed at all either. In Key West we came back to the ship to eat and then went back into Key West to walk around at night. We went on the Tulum Ruins tour and got back around 4pm and were quite content to shower and eat.

Late dining would be too late for me I think.

We always felt rushed. That was until they opened Topsiders for dinner. Topsiders is open on the Magic for dinner on Sunday-Thursday? or is it Friday nite, 7pm.-9pm.? You can check the back of your daily Navigator for info. look under Other Dining Options.

We love it for a little change. It's also great for those who don't wish to share their special family dinners with strangers.

If you miss early dinner and Topsiders there is always Room Service, with a smile.:teeth:
