Feeling like a FP Failure

Well, tonight was my 60 day mark!

The day I have been training for, for weeks. I've spent hours reading and watching youtube videos on just what to do.
Alas, Still no Anna and Elsa for me. I even had to give up the Seven Mine train because the only availability is when we have dinner reservations at GF.

Even my back up plan for getting the parade spot wasn't available.
We are going to MNSSHP later in the week, so I won't give up hope yet!!!

I did get
Peter Pan's Flight
Splash Mountain
Enchanted Tales with Belle

This trip is my 8 year old nieces first trip.

:(

I read over and over "keep checking." Hopefully, that will work for you.

You list only three rides for which you got fastpasses, but mention you will be there later in the week. Are you aware that you are now able to book FP for all of the dates of your trip, and not just for the one day that is 60 days out? For example, if you will be there for 5 days, you can book FP for all five days of your trip right now, even though days 2, 3, 4, and 5 happen to be 61, 62, 63, and 64 days out. The 60 days only applies to the start of your trip. Also, because others arriving a few days before you have also been able to book ahead into the overlapping days with your trip, that may be why your selections for your first day is limited; you may find better FP opportunities as you look at some of the later days in your trip.

I've been out of the loop now for a couple of weeks, but I wonder what the difference is. Two weeks ago I logged in for our trip in early Sept at midnight ET and had no issues not only getting all the FP we wanted, but any time we wanted.

Anna & Elsa at 1 pm, sure. Mine Train at 11 one day and 8 the next, you bet ya.

I would have been so frustrated trying to go to bed on a Sunday night after midnight. :crazy2:

I feel your pain!
It really is a big PAIN, but as pp suggested - KEEP CHECKING!
A few weeks ago, I also could not get the times that worked best for me 60 days out at midnight for A&E. I was looking for our MK days - days 1, 2, 8 and 14 (which is a split stay, return to WDW night, so I had to book it again as day 1) on our trip. There was nothing for day 1, and only PM or early AM for days 2 and 8 - nothing at all for day 14 (another day 1).
After obsessively checking every time I was on line for about a week, I was finally able to get the perfect time for day 14 (a few other times did occasionally show up for day 2, but nothing that worked any better for us).
It would only come up for 1 and wouldn't let me 'copy' it to DGrD10 - even called IT and they couldn't copy it to her. I kept it and kept checking for her and a few days later finally got an overlapping FP+ for her.
Long story short, if it's really, really important to you, keep checking - GOOD LUCK! :surfweb::badpc:

Also keep a watch on whether they continue the 'test' going on now where they are giving our FP- type return cards for A&E in the mornings until they are gone for the day.

Sorry, but the teacher in me won't let let that "failure" line get by without a comment.

You and your entire group will have a fabulous time!!! You're the only one who knows -- or really cares--that you wanted those two particular fastpasses. Everyone else is going to be THRILLED with whatever you did plan, whichever FPs you did get.

I've never met Anna or Elsa, and haven't yet ridden on 7DMT. Yet not one of my WDW trips has been a "failure"-- we somehow managed to have fabulous trips without either of those particular experiences.

I think that sometimes on the Dis we tend to make ourselves just a little crazy. We see what a million different people were able to accomplish, and put the pressure on ourselves to do all of what they were able to do. We forget that it was a million different people, and that no one person actually saw it all and did it all.

So, if it's important to you, check for cancellations. Otherwise, let it go and have the vacation of a lifetime, even without A&E or 7DMT.

I was on at 12:10am last night as well and the only Anna and Elsa available was for our departure day at 1:30 or 6:00pm. I took the 1:30pm one but it will be tight. I had no problem getting FPs for the Mine Train however.

Keep looking and good luck.

Thank you.. I had no issues getting what I wanted at the other parks. I'm going to plan on riding SDMT when we are there for MNSSHP...

Today is my 60 day fp day and there weren't any A&E times available - it's a good thing I didn't want one, ;), but on one of my days the first fp time for 7 Dwarfs was at 5:05pm. I was hoping for a morning time. I am surprised that 7 Dwarfs had such limited times on Sept 26th. :sad2:

LOVE YOU...Thanks I needed that!

Today is also our 60 mark and I was booking FP at 4am. No issue getting any that I wanted including 7Dwarfs. Not interest in meet and greet for a&e, but did notice there were none available for our first MK day on Sept 27, but was availability on 2nd day, Sept 30.
I did have to accept some of the choices provided, but was able to edit to the times I wanted with no problem.
I wasn't planning on getting up in the middle of the night, but I happened to wake up so thought, what the heck. Kind of glad I did.
Now just waiting for day 27 to book BOG!!

Great news!!! We're at day 22 on our BOG FP+ countdown :thumbsup2

Have a great trip!!!

A few items girl you. 1 - FPs for parades and fireworks do not open at 60 days. Closer to 28 days or so. 2 - last week disney did a three day trial for A & E meet and greet. They did away with the standby line and people went to a location by the carousel to get return tickets. Kinda like the old FP system which a 30 minute window and an expected 30 minute wait. So it is possible that they may have some system like that when you go. 3 - use the on lime MDE site and not the app for setting up any FPs. The site gives more options and control.

What is BOG and why is day 27 the limit? I am not familiar with all the abbreviations.

Be Our Guest is the newest, hottest restaurant in the Magic Kingdom. At dinner, they're full service, but at lunch they're counter service, with LONG lines to get in.

Disney Destinations has been emailing on-site guests, offering them the opportunity to get a Fastpass, a 4th that doesn't impact your other FP's, to have lunch at BOG. At the current time, once you've gotten that email, you're able to book it 27 days out.

So strange to me, I just booked mine Tuesday, and had no problem getting 7dmt on our first and last day, and got a&e for day 10. It is so crazy that just a few days makes that much difference. On our day 1 I had 4 times to pick from for 7dmt, and I didn't get going until 12:30, because it took me a half hour to figure out how he heck to do it:rotfl: good luck, and keep trying, things will open up:thumbsup2

Actually this statement is not true............on our 60th day we were able to get a FP for the Festival of Fantasy parade. :thumbsup2

Sorry, apparently a Disney did a change up that I missed. These typically did not open at 60 days, but now do. Not sure how useful wishes and MSEP are since they really kill any chance for a good 4th FP.
