I will be interested to hear how these treats live up to your memories from your childhood.

The Jurassic Park section looks really cool. And it got me thinking about the movies.... and made me realize I don't really remember them hehe

I heard about the Dragon challenge no longer launching at the same time. It's silly in a way. That's what made it "beautiful". I never rode it, nor do I think I would. But I did like the fact that they were really "dueling".

I forget to say that I really like the theming of the ride. The banners are really cute. They do make you feel like you are there during the tournament.

I bought a chocolate frog at MCO. I loved the box and the card...but was disapointed with the quality of the chocolate too. I thought that since it was that expensive you'd get a better chocolate. But I admit that I might buy another one this year hehe

They are not an overly sweet cake and a little hard ( Rock Cakes :rotfl2:) with raisins in them, does that sound what they were like !!:confused3All this talk of Rock cakes and I have to go dig out my recipe, hmm who should I try it on ????:rotfl2:

You can't remember the movies?! That just means you need to watch them again! Well, maybe just the first one, the second two weren't all that great.

 I think when I return I won't feel the need to go crazy in Honeydukes again. I tried everything I wanted to and nothing really stood out to me as a "must do" for each visit. Butterbeer, however, I will definitely be getting again! :thumbsup2

That is almost exactly what they were like. :thumbsup2

May 17th continued

Having seen and done everything that we wanted to do that day we started to make our way out of the park.

We did make a stop in Seuss Landing at the bakery. I know, I know, more sweets!

Alek and I both got the Peanut Butter Cup cookie.

Erich got an M&M's rice krispie square.

Alek and Erich had decided earlier in the day that they wanted to get Green Eggs and Ham for dinner and the shop that sold them was right next to the carousel so while they went to get their dinner, I took pictures.

Have you ever seen a more unique carousel?!

Unfortunately for Alek and Erich the store that sold the Green Eggs and Ham was closed, guess it only serves lunch! They did take a picture of what it is supposed to look like.

We arrived back at the nicely themed Port of Entry.

Alek was going for a picture of his getting mauled, instead it looks like he is hugging his pet tiger.

Right before you exit the park, on the right there is a little merchandise stall that sells merchandise on sale. Alek and Erich both managed to get stuff they liked from here for really cheap so make sure to check it out, you might find something you like!

Farewell Islands of Adventure, you were a gem!

It was right around 6:30 when we left the park and we were hungry for dinner!

We decided to stop at a Steak N' Shake as we had been bombarded with commercials on tv every day of the vacation while watching tv in the morning and at night. I had also heard good things about it here on the Dis. We of course ordered burgers and shakes!

The shakes were enormous!

The food was decent and was cheap! :thumbsup2

Our bellies full it was back to Coronado Springs!

We (I) went through all the stuff I had bought that day.

Gryffindor scarf

All the candy, pastries, pins, etc.

Erich also chowed down on the giant rice krispie square he had bought in Seuss Landing.

Guess what was on tv that night?! Harry Potter! :lmao: ABC Family was having a Harry Potter week and they were airing all the movies pretty much nonstop for the next week so for the rest of the vacation when we had down time in the room we nearly always had Harry Potter on.

We went to sleep fairly early that night as we were pretty tired from our late night the day before and our early wake up that morning. We were also off to Universal Studios in the morning.

Well, we have finally reached the halfway mark of the trip! One week of the trip down, one week to go! It shouldn't take as long to write about the next week of the trip as it was much more relaxing and slower paced, the days weren't jam packed like during the first week. I hope you all are still reading and stick around for more, I still have lots of good stuff to write about! :thumbsup2

WOW! 2 weeks in Orlando. I forgot that you were there that long, even though it is your title.:rotfl:

Great update, Lessa. Your pictures are wonderful. I'm sorry the boys couldn't get their Green Eggs and Ham sandwich. But you sure brought back a lot of goodies with you. Looking forward to the next week of the trip.

 Two weeks was definitely sufficient. We had a great time but I don't think we will ever go for longer than that.

We sure did bring back lots of goodies! It took awhile to eat it all though, we only ended up eating the pastries while in Orlando, the rest came home with us.

Still reading, finally caught up and of course will be here for more! :cool1:

I am wondering what the pink poofy mouse is? I've read all but the last book and seen all but the last movie but I'm not remembering what that is. :confused3

Hi, Lessa! Sorry I haven't posted in a while, though I have been following along!! I love that y'all ventured out and visited IoA! It looks fun!!! Too bad Alek and Erich didn't get to try the Green Eggs and Ham! Bummer!!

Steak and Shake looks so yummy! We have them here, but I've never had it. After seeing your pics, we may just have to make a visit there now!!

Wow, you really loaded up on goodies!! Good for you!!:)

You are right. It's always fun ;)

IoA was a blast! So much fun!

Steak and Shake hit the spot and the price was right. We don't have them here in Canada so this was our first time. :thumbsup2

Ok, I like ham and eggs but the green eggs just do not look appetizing! LOL.

Your purple pygmy puff is so cute! You got a pretty nice haul there. I'm going to make my sisters get me something when they're at IOA next week since I'll be stuck at home. :sad2:
