Feeling Hot Hot Hot! The Rain Curse is Broken! Two Weeks of Fun in the Sun! COMPLETE

Lessa, those pictures of Canada are absolutely breathtaking. I'm thinking we have to get passports anyway for our cruise in 2013 and we're not planning a Disney trip next year, so maybe we should visit Canada as we've never been.

I hope you have a great visit with your Dad and Great Aunt and that things aren't too awful with your step-mom.

I definitely encourage it! Pretty much all of British Columbia is beautiful. The Rockies in BC and Alberta are a must-see. Ontario has Niagara Falls, Toronto and Ottawa.

Quebec has lots of French culture and the cities of Montreal and Quebec City. Montreal is a cool city but I would stay away right now, their highways are crumbling apart! It is national news, no idea how the city let them get that bad but it is scary, I sure won't be driving through that city anytime soon! Quebec City is often described as a European city transplanted to North America and I am dying to visit.

Then there are the maritime provinces. The Bay of Fundy is a must-see, especially the Hopewell Rocks. Prince Edward Island, home of Anne of Green Gables is gorgeous. Nova Scotia is charming and its capital, Halifax, is the birthplace of two of your favourite Canadians. ;)

Wow, those photos are amazing. DH is not going to be happy that I have another place on my must visit list.

Lessa I well remember the Step Monster reports from 2 years ago!:scared1::scared1:! The scenery is absolutely breathtaking !! :cloud9:Of course the Bros wont let me down and will be upto their usual antics !!! :rotfl2:Have a wonderful time !!I can't believe I leave in 2 days !!:banana::banana:

i remember NOT asking last time i saw those pictures, but was there something that the bros were standing on when over the side of that cliff...or was it somewhat dangerous for them to be hanging off like that?

Every time they hang themselves over a cliff it puts me into a near heart attack state. They CLAIM that they only do it in spots where it is perfectly safe so that it just LOOKS dangerous. Usually there is at least a little ledge that their feet are on and even if they slipped they might tumble a bit but in most cases not too far but it always makes me very nervous when they do this as even in person it looks very dangerous. They don't seem to understand/care that if something happened because of their foolishness it would be a long time until we would be able to get help for them since most of our hikes are fairly remote and off the beaten path, it is rare that we encounter other hikers. They think I am ridiculous and get scared for no reason. Mom says that our Dad better be prepared to pay for their funerals since he is the one who allows the behaviour and thinks it is funny. They seem to enjoy scaring me to death.

May 15th continued

After meeting Remy and Emile we made our way over to the area hosting characters from Bug's Life. It was located between France and Morocco. None of the characters were out when we arrived so we got in line and hoped for the best. I saw an attendant nearby and asked if Slim would be coming back out, he wasn't sure so I got back in line. Flik and Atta came back out and then I heard that another line was being formed out front for Slim. It wasn't a hard decision to jump out of the Flik and Atta line and get in the Slim line!

We were only a few families back in the Slim line as we moved quickly and most people didn't realize we were in a character line as Flik and Atta were set-up nearby.

Soon Slim made his way back out. I can't imagine walking in that costume!

I like the expression on the guy in the yellow shirt. lol

The photographer and character handler were very impressed with how organized and fast we were. First I sent Alek and Erich, then Mom and I, and then Alek and Erich came back in. Boom, boom, boom.

It was pretty cool meeting Slim, not a character that you EVER see out in the parks for meet and greets.

We went and explored Morocco next, my least favourite pavilion. We just wandered the stores while Mom went off and did her thing.

Next up was Japan!

I wandered around and took pictures while Alek and Erich went back in the store. Not sure what Mom did, probably went into the store as well. Erich wanted to buy his Japanese friend a gift from "Japan".

Miyuki the candy lady was out doing a demonstration, it was so neat seeing her work. I found Alek and Erich and told them they should go check it out.

I went and enjoyed a bit of relaxation and air conditioning in my "secret" hideaway. Couldn't stay too long though or the others would wonder where I had gone.

After finding the rest of the family it was onwards to America for another Pixar Weekend character opportunity! Who could it be?

Great trip report - I just stumbled upon this.

Lessa, your pictures are wonderful!

One thing, I was always told that our national sport was lacrosse (curling....:rotfl:).

Have a great time in BC and looking forward to more.

Welcome!

It appears that there is much confusion among Canadians in regards to our national sport. :rotfl: Is it hockey, lacrosse, or curling? :confused3 :lmao:

BC looks absolutely beautiful.

How cool that you were able to meet Slim. That costume does look really awkward though.

Actually those are all my own photos. :goodvibes The only photopass photos I included were the ones that Mom and I were in, I haven't posted any of those bonus flower and garden photos although some of them do look similar.
:worship: Wow I am impressed! you rule for taking photos....my most excellent flower and garden shots were the freebies stuck in by photo pass fairies!:rotfl:

(reading on to your new update now. I am so pokey on the boards lately. too much life to do!)

LOL at the 30+ year old throwing a hissy fit!! I admit, I was bummed when I learned that Russel wasn't stamping or signing but you know other than "oh bummer" life went on and we got great photos! I wish we had paid better attention to the Pixar spots around the parks to catch the awesome characters.

Was no one waiting to see Marie- she looks all alone over there. ??

I love the photo of Erich (I think) inthe Fez with a goofy shirt. somehow very appropriate LOL

Been lurking and haven't posted in a while. Don't you just love to watch the candy lady do her thing? And I would love to have a koi pond like that one in the Japan pavilion if I could find someone to feed them and keep the pond clean! ;)

sweet, have never seen slim before.

and im going to say you saw doug, and mr fredrickson, as you cant get more american adventure than an old man and his dog.

Have a great trip Rosie!

Lessa, great phots. I love the photos with Slim...I'm with you though, how does he/she walk around in that? :scared1:

Slim is so cool! I have never seen him before. I'm glad you all got a chance to meet him.

It looks like it's really beautiful in that part of Canada. I've never been, but I love the name Banff. It's fun to say. :rotfl:
