Exactly!! I read a post where someone blamed DCL for messing up their vacation. That's inconsiderate. DCL had no control, just make the best of it and give Florida back the tourism. They need it more now than ever. I will be there myself next month.

If you need to do something to help the guilt.. Donate to the Red Cross and be sure that you tip a little more generously than usual during your trip. I'm sure lots of waitstaff in restaurants and housekeeping staff in hotels missed some tips over the weekend. That and some cheerfullness and courtesy will go a long way to "making things better" for the folks in Florida.

Oh don't feel guilty. Come on down, we NEED your money. It's not cheap for the state to deal with these disasters. If you listened to Gov. Bush's message he didn't want tourists coming in during the hurricane but hoped all that had to cancel their plans would rebook. Without tourism dollars this state would be in big trouble. If you feel like you need to do something, you can always donate some money to the Red Cross for the Hurricane Disaster Relief.
