...til my Maternity leave finishes and I have to leave my darling boy Jack.

I'm really nervous about going back to work, I feel as if I have forgotten how to teach. :worried: On top of that, the school has started serving toast as a snack in the mornings and every staff member has to take a turn. But I can't cook! :stir: Seriously, I have had nightmares for weeks about this. I keep dreaming about burning forty pieces of toast, and getting lynched by a class of 5 year olds!

The only good thing about going back is that DS1 Luke is in the other Reception class to mine, so at least I will get to see him during the day.

He's the one on the right, by the way!

Sorry for moaning, but I'm just so dreading it. Counting down, I have 19 more sleeps til I go back.

Sara. :)

Lovely photos Sara :) I'm sure once you're back at work you will wonder what you were worrying about

Your boys are both gorgeous, I'm sure you'll be fine once you're back

Lovely Photos,Im sure you will be fine

Great photos Sara, you're boys are so cute :wizard: Good Luck when you go back to work, I'm sure you'll be fine ::yes::

Hi Sara, hugs for you, I know exactly how you feel! It will all be fine once you get there, as school is just so busy! And not long till the summer! Let me know if you want a chat. xxx

I don't know why, but maternity leave really knocks your workplace confidence. I found this too. I was quite senior in a NHS IT dept and lots changed in the 12months I was off. The most important factor for me hadn't changed, and that was my colleagues. They were just the same supportive, friendly bunch that I had left behind.
You'll be fine when you get there, honest :thumbsup2
As for the toast thang, make 'em jam sandwiches instead!

Lovely photo's, your boys are very cute. good luck with going back to work, I am sure you will settle back in quickly.

awwww what cute boys, just enjoy your last 2 weeks of no work :)
im sure once youre back at work youll fit back in easily :goodvibes

Your boys are lovely. It is so hard going back after maternity leave sending you a

 Aww massive huggles, what gorgeus children you have.
It will be hard but you'll soon get a routine,

Im sure you will soon get back into the swing of things and as someone else said not long to the school summer hols.

Great pics, your boys are lovely.

Thanks everyone for your support and kind comments. :goodvibes I am really proud of my boys.

This is very true in my case too, and you're right, it will make going back so much easier.

Typical though, I only have 13 sleeps left, not 19 like I originally said - I can't even count anymore. As long as I actually get some sleep, instead of dreaming about giant pieces of toast!

Sara. :)

Sara-your boys are soooo cute-lovely big brown eyes on your youngest.I hope you settle back in well+i'm pretty sure you're toast will be great:thumbsup2 .
I was and still am fortunate enough to be in a situation where i didn't have to go back to work after our first dd7 was born.Dd3 is still at home+starts nursery sep/oct,but i can't imagine what it must be like for new mums to have to go back-i would have been heartbroken in that situation.x.

Do you teach FS too Sara?

Yes, I have a Reception class of 21 children and teach in a very large open plan classroom, sharing with another Reception class of 18. I really do love it, but we are moving over to the Foundation Phase in Wales in September (supposedly) and it just seems to me that I have missed out on all the training :( even though our school has been working towards the Fondation Stage for several years now.

What age do you teach?

Sara. :)

I teach in a FS unit, 30 fulltime children and 15 part ime in the morning. I love it,most of the time, but hate this time of year with all the paper work. :worried:
