Feel like I'm missing the party

I am so sad that I can't go on the Podcast cruise this year (again). Being a teacher is a great profession but sometimes it definitely gets in the way of my travels . I feel like I am good friends with so many of you and most of you I haven't even met yet. I missed Disapalooza due to work and now will miss another cruise, I was so hoping it would fall over a weekend so I could use my 3 personal days and make it work.....
Every time they talk about it on the Podcast and all the fun it will be my heart just sinks. I know I'm not alone in this, sure wish I could cruise with friends,that would be so fun!
For those able to go, enjoy!!! Take lots of pictures for those of us who can't be there. Here's hoping one of these events fall over a weekend in the future, would love to meet most of you face to face for the first time.

Dont worry Lesly, I know that feeling even though Im not a teacher Im just sad that I cant make even a meet by living in the UK, being a student I have to wait till the breaks of which I can go away to the US, because if I go out of time there will fine my family .
Yeap Ive asked lots of people to take video and pictures of it so that we can have a look but dont worry you be able to meet people at some point in time

I feel your pain. I work in a retail support position, and our busiest time of year is usually from mid-November through the end of the year. We're blacked out on time off during this period, and I can't even slip out for a long weekend, because I work six days a week. Oh well. I still love my job, and I don't begrudge them the extra work, but darn, do I ever wish I could be in two places at once when talk of these fun December events comes up!

We'll just have to hope everyone posts photos and try to make our own party here in the meantime, eh?

We just announced three ABD Backstage Magic Adventures for 2011.

We tried to make sure that we were "teacher friendly" when choosing dates.

The dates are:

2/20 - 2/25/11 - Presidents Week

4/17 - 4/22/11 - Easter week

7/31 - 8/5/11 - Summer

I know the feeling. I was shocked when I realized that myself along with my family will be able to go on the cruise. I will have finished up my student teaching a few weeks before and my one class I'll be taken should hopefully finish up the week before. I know that next year I won't be able to do to this as *hopefully* I'll have a teaching position. I'm going to soak up this last Earlyish December trip as next spring I'll be graduating and joining my fellow teachers in only being able to go during breaks and vacations.

Really wish you guys could come! I love your trip reports and would love to meet some fellow Cincinnatians!

Ohh... I'm so sorry you and Tim and family won't be able to make it. I and Kat(DW) would have loved to have met you. I loved your trip reports. and Tim was standing next to us as we waited outside DHS for Disapalooza to start. I know I said hi to Tim, and Im sure he said Hi back, but I didn't start a conversation. But I found his trip report a couple of months later and it was cool knowing that we had at least seen him. Anyways, sorry you can't make it, and thanks for being a teacher (a great profession, so very helpful) and maybe the Podcast team can schedule PCC3.0 for a better time.
