I just got the GV at SSR for our 30th anniversary trip. 11mnth, but the last weekend of F&W (and Veterans day w/e) I am sooooo excited. Our older kids have expressed interest in having 2 2bdrm(which is actually a few less points), but I figure if they REALLY want that, I can probably get 2 2bdrms later, and if not, well just have to suffer with the GV

Now to plan a private event to celebrate. We are planning on renewing our vows at home. Hopefully, with the same officiant we had 30 years ago! I am so so excited. I really feel like a kid again. Thanks for listening.

Congratulations on your upcoming 30th anniversary! Every time we are in Disney, or are planning a trip, I feel the kid inside get all excited....one reason I love it so much.

We celebrated our 25th there a couple of years ago. We renewed our vows with an officiant, no big deal, we just did it quickly with a nice setting and our adult children present. Then we headed over to the Yachtsman for a delicious steak dinner.

I did have an awesome cake made for the occasion from the chef there. The staff knew it was our 25th anniversary celebration, so they printed our menus separately, with a rose on the top, and a "Happy 25th Anniversary" printed beneath the rose. It was awesome!
They also gave us a free champagne toast.

The event, as I'm sure you know, can be as casual or basic as you'd like, all the way to extravagant. Oh, since it was the "silver" anniversary, we got up in the morning, went over to DTD and bought those sterling ring bands with initals cut out. They were our wedding bands for the ceremony!

I loved it!

DeeCee - we were planning on doing it for our 25th, but DH lost his job and ....well it was not to be. And on a side note, my initials are DC - or Dee C. The cake you had was beautiful and the rings are very nice. We had/are throwing around the idea of having dinner at the Yachtsman, as steak is one of the few things everyone in the family likes. Did you order the cake through them when you made the dinner ressies?
