Hi everyone, looking for a bit of advice really.

First time in DLP this year and will be there 23rd - 27th Dec. We are a party of 4 adults and 4 young children. I am looking to book somewhere to have lunch on Xmas day and have heard the Lucky Nugget do a buffet style lunch with the charachters present.

Is this a good option? we would prefer a buffet rather than formal sit down, (easier with the kids). Do they cater for veggies as 2 of the party are!!

Is it an extensive buffet or limited?

Sorry for all the questions but dont want to ruin the day by making the wrong choice!

any suggestions very welcome!!:santa:

Hi Nelly55 , Jackie,Elaine,Reid and Elaine all welcome you to DLP DIS board
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here. DIS posting guidelines can be found here.

I have never been for Christmas itself but I know many of our members have. You could read some of the trip reports listed on the Trip report board to give you an idea what others have done. I know Elaine(Ware Bears) went to the Lucky Nugget on Christmas day so you may want to read her report .

Hope this helps :)

I have heard varying reports on the Lucky Nugget, some saying it isn't a very extensive buffet. I can also remember someone saying the only choice for Veggies was salad and chips....

Sorry to the bearer of bad news! I haven't been myself, so hopefully someone else can help more!

Hi Nelly55, we went to the Lucky Nugget for our Christmas Day lunch back in 2005 and it was fabulous! :cloud9: Best Christmas dinner I've ever had! :santa:

I'm sorry I can't help regarding vegetarian choices but there are always various salad dishes, wraps so you can make up fajitas, at least one pasta dish although whether it contains a meat product :confused3 and there's always been chips there. There's usually a choice of different bread rolls.

Sorry if that sounds rather dismal but perhaps the vegetarians in your party would weigh up the great character interaction and the ease it will be for feeding the younger ones over the poor veggie choice? Have a look at the Restaurant Review to see if anyone has posted about veggie options on there.
