before I worked at an SPCA I would have said YES! in a heartbeat, now that I work there I would say no.
We get calls daily from good people who were trying to help and then realized that winter comes and with below freezing temps those strays won't survive the night. And because they didn't let Animal Control know or didn't get on a shelters waiting list to surrender, there is no space for them and nobody to help.
I wish there were harsher laws for animal abandonment and neglect for the people who make these poor animals strays

Luckily, I don't have to worry about that so much here in Florida. I do provide them a house, though, to get away from rain, wind and the occasional lower temps. I just can't stand to not do it. I feel so bad for them, and they are gorgeous kitties too. The one is a siamese with a beautiful coat and gorgeous eyes. He's so lovey dovey. I am trying to find him a home. His owner moved about two weeks ago and left him there.
