I'd start forwarding each and every one of those emails he's sending you to ebay, and I'd find a phone number for ebay, because I *know* I"ve called them once about a dispute. Live help is no help, buncha dunces, but you can try it. I really think you need to start slamming Ebay like this guy is slamming you. I didn't get any help until I really started basically harassing ebay and it was easier for them to help me than to ignore me. If you can find an actual email address for an actual person who works at ebay, and then start forwarding those emails, that could help. Heck, forward them to the chick that runs ebay!

Can you find out the status of the money order through your bank? If it is fraudulent maybe the police can help?

I'm not sure what the problem is on your part, your customer did everything correctly. A money order does not have to "clear". He cannot get a money order without giving the issuer the $$ for it. You should not be holding an item that is paid for with a money order.

As for the harrassment, that is another issue.

I would agree to hold money orders now adays. My boss had one of his tenants give him a money order. Apparently, she stole it from Turkey Hill and when he deposited it, obviously it didn't clear as they had stop payments on them. They found out she never paid for them and she stole them from work...

It's a shame that money orders aren't even safe anymore!!!

When you get a jerk like that it does get scary. These people have your addresses now and who knows to what extend they would harrass you (mail, telephone, in person, etc.)
