Hello! Heading to Disney in April with my parents, DD5 and DS2. We have the deluxe dining plan (my kids really need structure and set meals, and we find the long meal breaks work well for us). Hoping for input if our scheduled meals are hitting the highlights and make logistical sense. We are staying at bay lake towers 4/7-4/13 so we are heavy on the monorail restaurants.

Arrival night: yachtsmans

Day 1 Epcot: Garden grill PPO breakfast, California grill dinner

Day 2 no park: ohana breakfast, narcoosee dinner

Day 3 EMM/magic kingdom: tony parade package lunch, BOG dinner

Day 4 Ak: 1900 park fare Breakfsdt, tusker lunch, tiffins dinner

Day 5 MK: crystal palace PPO breakfast, Cinderella lunch, citricos dinner

Day 6 MK/departure: BOG breakfast, Liberty tree lunch

I'm concerned days 4/5 are too much with 3 meals booked; I'm Wondering if I should drop 1900 park fare to get to AK earlier.

Day 5 I struggle dropping either Crystal palace or CRT as both meals have characters the kids really want to meet. Was considering dropping Tony's on day 3 and changing that to Crystal palace, but that would mean we don't have a reserved parade viewing spot.

Thanks for any input!!

All of those restaurants are great choices. We did not like our meal at Liberty Tree, but everyone raves about that place. That leads me to believe our one experience there was a snafu of sorts. Every other place we really liked. Your schedule is a lot of food and time dining, but since you decided the structured set meals are best for your family, I think you've already covered that thought.

Addressing your specific concerns on days 4 and 5:
I agree that three meals is probably too much.
Day 4: Tusker House has a great, great breakfast, so if me, I would consider cancelling 1900 and moving the TH lunch to breakfast. If you can get up and around, you can even make a bkfst reservation before the park opens.
Day 5 / possible Day 3 swap: Many people dislike Tony's. We didn't have an issue there, but many say the food is bland and service poor. So, you're probably going to get a huge consensus to move Crystal Palace to Day 3. Do you know the crowd level of MK on the day 3/parade watch day? Is it expected to be super crowded necessitating a reserved spot for the parade? Alternatively, is Winnie the Pooh one of your kids' favorite characters that is a 'must do'?

Is Citricos a must-do restaurant for you? If not, I would maybe consider dropping that and pushing Cinderellas Royal table back to dinner, if you're able to get a time you want, and just doing those 2 for the day. And also for convenience, maybe drop 1900 park fare breakfast and move Tusker House up to a late breakfast time, and then you can get both breakfast and lunch foods from there. Also, if your kids you really want to see the 1900 Park characters, you could always swap it out with Ohana, depending on which characters they'd prefer more.

I would drop Tony's, mainly because I've never had a good experience there but if you like it, keep it.

I would definitely NOT cancel 1900 PF. 1900 PF has a much better breakfast buffet than Tusker House. Why not cancel Tusker House and keep Tiffins for dinner or switch the Tiffins dinner out for TH dinner? I agree with PP and would switch CRT to dinner and cancel Citricos.

Overall, your meal plans sound wonderful - enjoy your trip!

Thanks for the input! On our Day 3 MK parade watching day the crowd level is expected to be 6. So probably not awful. My kids are little and short though, and the parade is very much a priority, so I was thinking having the reserved seating would be nice. But I suppose we could just get there extra early to claim a spot and maybe enjoy some ice cream while we wait.

The kids like, but don't love the Winnie the Pooh characters. Princesses and the Mickey//Pluto crew are higher priority, so CRT and Tusker House are the bigger priorities, since we don't have meals to see them at other times (don't have chef mickey or akershus). So perhaps dropping 1900 Park Fare on day 4...or switching out Ohana breakfasyt to 1900 park fare would make the most sense.

Citricos is not a must do, CRT and meeting the princess is defineitely the priority with my 5yo daughter. That's a good thought to consider switching CRT to dinner. Then we could keep Crystal palace breakfast, use snack credit for a light lunch, then do CRT dinner. It seems like CRT is a really hard ADR to get but perhaps with touringplans reservation finder I could get lucky!

We always enjoy Tusker for breakfast. I would change the 1900 Park Fare to another day and have a late breakfast at Tusker as you suggested! We always preferred Akershus for a princess breakfast. I think CRT is good to do once, but in general I think it is over priced and over rated.

I really like all of your choices except for Tony's. But if you go in expecting Olive Garden you won't be disappointed.

I agree. We think 1900 Park Fare is best breakfast buffet on property, and it is the only breakfast that we do every single trip. (Plus it has 2 of the 4 characters you'd see at Crystal Palace-Pooh and Tigger).

I think the choices look good.
If you go into Tonys not expecting too much, you shouldn't be disappointed. I've read they may have changed the red sauce, it was nasty before.
Your day at Animal Kingdom, unless you have a fastpass for FoP, you need to be there about an hour before the park opens unless you hit a quiet day. Last fall, the line was 90 minutes and that was 30 minutes before the park officially opened. We had that experience 2 different days. So I would consider skipping 1900 PF for that reason or move it to a different day if possible.
