I just made my ADR's tonight. Considering I just started planning this trip on Sunday, I think I'm moving along pretty well. :upsidedow

12/6 - Liberty Tree Tavern @ 5:40pm
12/7 - Hollywood N Vine @ 8:25am
12/8 - San Angel Inn @ 3:50pm, Candlelight Processional @ 6:45pm
12/9 - Cape May Buffet Breakfast @ 7:30am

There are 2 adults and 2 kids (6 and 3).

We've done Hollywood N Vine, so I'm familiar with that. Never done the other 3. Tried for Le Cellier and Teppan Edo on 12/8 but no luck. Not sure about this San Angel Inn...??

Thoughts?

Out of the four you have listed, we have done Liberty Tree Tavern--but for lunch and really enjoyed it. I don't eat Mexican food so we've never done San Angel--I've read good and bad reviews. We were supposed to do Boma this trip but we cancelled the morning of because we wanted to spend more time at the park. As for H&V, we've never done breakfast there so I can't comment on it (we've done dinner twice and will never go back--horrible). But you've been there so you know what to expect.

Of your dinner ressies the only one I ate at was San Angel Inn and I did not enjoy it at all, yes the atmosphere is nice, but we will not go back there. My food looked great, but it was very bland it just had no taste. I would change that one if I were you or you can try it and make you own opinion.

We had terrible food/service at San Angel in 2005 and haven't eaten there since. What a beautiful restaurant though - I wish it was good.

This is very helpful. I thought I remembered reading not-so-great reviews on here for SAI, so I was reluctant to book it. Problem is, I want to do Candlelight Proc. and dining combo on 12/8, and my other choices were of course booked. I tried for Le Cellier and Teppan Edo. Do you think I should keep calling for those? Or is there another restaurant someone can suggest? I have two little ones (6 and 3). Most of us don't do seafood.

Thanks!

DH and I had lunch at San Angel Inn this May and really enjoyed it. I found the food to be good and service acceptable. The atmosphere of that restaurant and the margaritas were both outstanding!

DH Adult DS and I really enjoyed our meal at the San Angel Inn, It was the surprise of the trip. I nearly cancelled it a few times because of the bad reviews here, but they wanted to eat there.
The food was very good - not great but very good. The service was attentive without being hovering - just right. The atmosphere is really nice. I did not find it to be too dark, nor did I think it was any more crowded than Le Cellier is.
We would go back.

Sounds good, the only one I would change is LTT because I do not care for the menu, I would pick CP instead
