Feed the Starving A&E girls!

It seems like a solution to the masses of Frozen fans is to maybe create a Frost Character dining. Sure, it would be crowded as all get out, but it would redirect some of the m&g madness and be a huge cash cow for Disney. I mean, look at the BoG and CRT chaos, surely it would be no different, right? They could have A&E, Kristoff, and even the mean prince, maybe even Sven? Why hasn't Disney done this yet? Are they afraid that the Froz cast can't carry a big meal? Is Disney too dependent on Cinderella, Mickey, Minnie and the other "big five" type characters?

Maybe they are going to add the Froz to the Norway meal, but I think that would only work if they got rid of the other girls. Then that leaves those princesses starving for another meal! What do you guys think? Feed those Frozen princesses!

I think that when the characters are so popular that guests will willingly wait in line 5 to 7 hours to see them, character dining is not an option.

Restaurants have limited cacpacity. Only people who can get a reservation to the restaurant can get in. Only relatively few people can get reservations. Then the complaints start from those who couldn't get reservations "why can't you have them in more than one restaurant??" Then those who got reservations try to figure out how to broker or sell them to those who are so desperate to get reservations that they will do or pay anything to get one.

There may well be a Frozen character meal when it comes about that people want to see them, but aren't going to fall all over themselves trying to do it.

I agree, but it does not affect me either way. My DDs have outgrown, and my 2 DSs, well, they just want to ride rides.

I remember the days of princesses, and we never stood in lines, we booked meals where we could sit, relax, enjoy a meal and had the princesses come to us.

I truly hope for all the little princesses out there, that Disney figures out a way to make this less craziness. Good luck to all you moms and dads!

Don't think for a second that Disney isn't already planning the best way to get $60/person to see two people who were free a few months ago while they were wearing different dresses.

It would be very popular to say the least, but I think that would be much worse for parents who are trying to do this. Look at how hard it is to get BOG still.

At this point, the only thing parents can do (if they don't want to wait in those lines and they are not onsite) is book a throwaway room to get the 60 day window. And then make sure they are on the app/computer at the right time!

I've been saying that I wouldn't be surprised to find out that they are planning for Anna and Elsa to take Belle's place as the hostess at Akershus. If not, maybe they can finally help the Odyssey stop being an eyesore and reopen it as princess dining.

This actually makes really good sense, especially with Arendelle being acknowledged as a Northern kingdom. Akershus is the perfect fit.

But, I think Disney would have a mutiny on their hands if they stopped the meet and greet ("free") and turned it into a character meal (not "free"). Also, I think it's premature to make too many "permanent" changes until they know A &E's staying power.

I think it's going to be hard to keep everyone happy.

It doesn't have to be exclusive. After all the other princesses are at both meals and meet & greets.

However, the Akershus breakfast is still wildly popular, so I don't know why they were change that. Better to make an ADDITIONAL offering. After all, why not get twice the money from customers LOL

Yeah well staying power hmmm????? I would agree with this but Cinderella has been out since 1950 and CRT is still one of the hardest reservations to get. Granted its the castle and the princesses, but those princesses havent changed in years either but non the less still hard to get and Cinderella Snow White Ariel Jasmine Belle have some staying power. I think Anna and Elsa will be around for the forseeable future.hmmm too bad they are builiding Avatarland in Ak they should be building Arendelle somewhere

I think they should be the greeting characters at Akershus. No need to retheme the whole thing, just put those two at the door instead of Belle, who is French and not Norwegian anyway. Interloper!

What's the incentive for Disney? That meal is already extremely popular.

If anything, they should be adding them to an unpopular spot, jacking up the price, and voila, more money for Disney more Anna and Elsa for guests.

Yea, the movie's grossed over a billion dollars worldwide and is now the top grossing animated film of all time. I'm pretty sure they'll be around for a while

The Arendelle Artic Adventure at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Penguins, Puffins, Polar Bears and of course Reindeer. An animatronic snowman ride with Olaf and Marshmallow. And of course Princess M&G's and plenty of merchandise.

Maybe even a Frozen show similar to the Beauty and The Beast Live on Stage show at AK; it would be wildly popular and might take some of the pressure off the M&G demand.

Some Princesses don't have the same staying power. Some are absolutely more popular than others. We love Anna and Elsa (and my seven year old said she doesn't care if they're popular or not. They're her favorites). But, not all movies translate. Tiana doesn't seem to have held on. People like her, but the allure isn't there for her like it is for Cinderella or Snow White, Belle or Ariel. Meg from Hercules? Not a Princess, but the movie didn't hold on to popularity. Esmeralda? Even Jasmine, Pocahontas and Mulan didn't seem to have the staying power and they were three "girl power" sorts of Princesses. Mulan defeated the Hun army, for pete's sake.

I wouldn't be reworking or re-writing too much if I were Disney. At least, not yet. I'd want to be sure that building or changing would be profitable. Plus, how much kerfuffle if they remove Belle from Akershus? All of that has to be weighed.
