Fee to change/alter AAdvantage booking?

I think I remember reading that if you book an American flight using your aadvantage miles, if you cancel you will be charged a $100 (?) fee. But does anyone know what fee they charge if you need to change the date or time of the flight? We want to book our May 2008 flights to MCO as soon as they come available in June, but if we find out we need to push back our departure by a day or two I wanted to know what the penalty would be. Thanks!

If all you are changing is the date and time of the award ticket, there is no fee.

However, you should be aware that the award ticket will expire 1 year after originally booked (June '08 if you book in June '07), so your window for pushing back the date is limited. If you end up needing to push the date back further than June '08, you need to pay $100 to redeposit the miles to your account and then book a new award ticket.
