Fee for II exchange

I am a little confused about the fee for II search. Do you pay the $75 when you ask for a seach or when a match is made? Thanks in advance.

It used to be that you would pay the $75 when the match was made. Now, however, you pay the fee up front. You can cancel the search at any time and the money will be refunded to you. Also, if no matches are made (or you do not accept those that are) that money will be refunded to you.
