For anyone who has recently returned their membership paperwork to DVC, is the FedEx pick up pre-paid?

We're in the process of adding on direct with Disney (:cool1: ). We've received the paperwork and I'm trying to get it back to DVC and am stumped. It was quite a job to find the FedEx number to call to arrange pick up (I'm sure when we did this before it was all spelt out for us in the box of tricks) and now FedEx won't arrange pick up without an account number.

Have I got it wrong - do I need to pay FedEx to collect it? I know it's not going to be a huge sum compared to what I've just paid for some more points ;) but, obviously, if it's pre-paid it would be better!
 
It's definitely pre-paid Hilary. I returned our AKV add-on documentation a couple of weeks ago - just rang Fed-Ex Customer Services (got the number off their website) and arranged a collection, explaining that the documentation was already included with the return envelope...
 
Yes DVC send you a nice pre paid and pre addressed cardboard document envelope.

Well, I've got the nice pre addressed cardboard document envelope, but I've spoken to two different people at FedEx who have asked me for the account number on the label - but there is no account number! :confused:

... yes it's the same one :( The office is closed now until Monday morning, so I'll try again then.

The address label on my envelope says 'Billable stamp' - do you think that means pre-paid or to-be-paid?

There should be a FedEx "International Air Waybill" in your pack, the fedEx account number is detailed in part 7. You just need to phone FedEx (Tel 08456 07 08 09) give them the info from the waybill and they will collect. They also asked me to fill in "Commercial Invoice" and photocopy it (6 copies required) which they sent to me by email.

Hope that helps, the driver that collected the envelope was also very helpfull and checked that everything was okay with the paperwork.

Hmm, no, I haven't got this :confused3 I'm sure I had something like this last time, which is why I was surprised that it wasn't easy to find the FedEx number to call this time.

When I rang FedEx they asked me for the account number in part 7 ... but I had no part 7!

Next step - I'll ask DVC about it and hope it doesn't delay things too much.

Hi,

Just had some experience today with the International Air Waybill form.


Section 3 Shipment Information

Commodity Description should read Tender Documents

Just "Documents" will not do


Section 3 Value for customs

Put NVD (No value declared) - smooths the way through customs


Luckily for me, the van driver had a printed out check-list of this info to check on pick up.

I got the account number from DVC (who said they felt FedEx were giving me an unnecessarily hard time ;) ) and they put a note on my file to say the documents might be a bit late getting back to them.

FedEx have now collected the envelope, so I'm hoping it got there okay!
