February Weather

We are going on our FIRST Disney cruise on Feb.6th. I am wondering if anyone could provide information on weather and what the sea conditions are like at that time of the year? Mostly I need to know how exactly to pack and should I get a script. for motion sickness before I go. Any info would be great!

Me & my girls have sailed in February two times. This past February was COLD in Florida, but once we hit the Caribbean waters, it was great. The only rough waters we had were the first night. It seemed the water at Castaway Cay was fine. I like my water warmer, but it didn't seem to keep the rest of the folks from enjoying themselves. The day we sailed, I was shivering in a sweatshirt, but the next day I was in a t-shirt. Since I usually sail in the colder months, I am wearing warmer clothes to start out with anyway. When I pack, I always bring at least one other set of warmer clothes just in case. Some years Florida is warm, other years it is freezing. Just check out the weather channel before you go. We are on the same cruise!


We were on the Wonder last Feb and it was cold and raining in Fla when we left.

A short time out of port it was sunny skies and warm temps.


What ages are your kids?... Ours are 9,7, and 5.

I have only 1 daughter-10yrs. She is very excited to be going! We vacation during Mardi Gras since kids here have week long vacation.

Let me rephrase that... some DAYS Florida is warm, other DAYS it is freezing. It was 33 when we woke up yesterday morning, and will be in the 70's tomorrow... that's just FL!!

Thanks so much! I too have been in Florida alot before too and it is alot like home (New Orleans) 2 days ago we had 27 degree temps and today I have my a/c on cuz it was 74....go figure! Mostly I was concerned about the seas (boat rocking ) and the water temp for snorkeling and such.
