February veterans please help

WDW prep and Touring plans crowd calendars are contradicting each other. Which do you think is busier, February 17-23 with presidents day being the 18th OR Feb 22-march 1st with a marathon weekend? Touring plans has President's day at a level 4??? I feel like that is opposite of what I've seen here.

I have done both and I long for those days of old when you could walk down the streets of the Magic Kingdom and not bump into anyone. I think the last week is a little more quieter. At least that is what we have experianced.

I'd go with the second. Marathon week! I've found to be quieter. Back when my kids didn't have kids and were just in school, what is the last week in February to the 4th of February was mid-winter break in Vermont. That is when we always went. It was busy during those weeks, but, it wasn't overwhelming and the days were warm enough to use a pool, but, the nights would get much cooler even with an occasional light frost overnight. By noon it was back to high 70's to low 80's. Very comfortable touring. Also the Marathon people tend to spread out more and there are not as many of them as when the entire New England area emptied out and headed for WDW. Of course, that was a while ago, but, I did go during Marathon week in 2014 and didn't find it to be bad at all.

Mardi Gras Fat Tuesday is 3/5 this year but I don't think those crowds would arrive until around 3/1. I was there presidents day weekend (Thrs - Wed) this past year. Saturday and Sunday were bad, but the rest was fine.
