Hi! I am new here and would love some advice.

Last year my family and I booked a very last minute trip to Disneyland, only 3 weeks before we left and got a great deal with the kids fly free from Alaska Air. We went the 2nd week of Feb. and it was not very crowded which was nice. We would like to go again this year and am trying to decide if we should book it now. My oldest will be out of school for mid-winter break for the 3rd week of Feb. and we are looking to go Feb. 17-23. However, it looks like with Presidents Day that Monday that it will be a busy week. Also, is it more busy that week since it seems like a lot of school may have mid-winter break that week? Any opinions?

Also, I want to wait until the Alaska promo with kids fly free but nervous about having to wait and maybe not get a great choice of hotels. When I was looking, it is very possible that the weekend we would go would be blacked out due to the Presidents Day holiday. My husband and I have no problem keeping my son out of school and going in the end of January or start of Feb. if we can get another great deal with the kids fly free and if the 3rd week of Feb. is looking like it will be way more crowded.

Any advice or previous experience is greatly appreciated!

Wanted to add: I have been in the summer before so I know how busy it can get. I understand that Feb. will not be as bad as it was in July, however, we would like to go when it is as slow as possible. Thank you!

I don't know where you are from, but if you're from Canada, Air Canada also had "kids fly free" at the same time as Alaska Airlines last year. Maybe they will again this year too. We took advantage of this last year on Alsaka and it made the trip way more affordable!

KFF usually is announced in late November or early December. If you book on alaska now, then KFF comes out they will change it for about 50.00. You may want to call and ask. One year I booked my package with Alaska then KFF came out and they were great about the changes.

Thank you. I live in WA state.

Anyone know about the crowds during the end of Feb. around Presidents Day?

Just be sure to price things out separately, too, though. I don't use Alaskan, I'm a SW person, but we started planning last year when the kids fly free thing was happening, and it was So Much More than just paying for the kiddo to fly and booking some other promotion (or separately).

Know all the prices so you know if you're getting a deal.

I know nothing about Feb crowds, but I think it's off-season, so hopefully it won't be too crazy! :)
