February or June? Can't decide

This really clinches it for me. Now I need to find out when this paving will be done!!! (Because I really, really want to go in February).

We've gone in Feb the last two years and had some of Main St torn up for one of the trips, but I have to say that it didn't really bother us. The crowds were soooo light, it was just wonderful! We had a little shower one day, and it totally cleared out the parks. It was awesome! We were walking right on to all kinds of rides, and it was great to not have to fight crowds. Plus we had a lot more time with the characters, and I think better character interaction in general, than when it's busier.

Someday we'll go in June again, but I'm pretty sold on always picking an "off" week to go from now on.

Either way, I'm sure you'll have a wonderful trip!

Checking the park hours it has "Horse drawn streetcars (no vehicle traffic allowed)" down for refurb on Feb 15th but not on the 16th or any date past that. This would lead me to believe that the paving should be finished by the 16th. I realize the calendar might change but at least they seem on schedule!

According to this thread, paving is scheduled until at least February 16.

June it is!!

Great choice. We are going at the end of February and I hope most of the street work is done by then.

I really wish we could be there when they open the Little Mermaid ride for my daughter (4) as Ariel is her favorite princess. Oh well a reason for another trip

I have seen the Horse drawn streetcars come back online before the vehicles and wonder the reason why the vehicles can't come back too. At least most of the boxes should be up off the street as the horse comes right down the middle of the street. We'll see in a few weeks.

We went in Feb of 2009. It poured rain on us the entire time. I know there are those that love DL in the rain. I am not one of them. It was miserable, wet and cold. We left a day early.

Going in June this year.
