Oh quick vent...
I've been asking DH to get his old pirate costume out and his newest one out so I can pack them..."I'll do it later." or "I'll do it tomorrow" is what I've been hearing for about 2 weeks. I've asked my DD to please try on her water shoes/crocks so I know if they fit and I could pick her up new ones during any of my 1000 trips to Walmart. Night after night I've asked. Guess what? They don't fit and I have another trip to the store!

Well, tomorrow is hear my friends and I have no pirate costume packed and no correctly fitting shoes. I'm stressing!!!!!!

And yet again...here I am on the thread. I need to to be certain I stay away.

Poor Dee Just think-- in little more than 48 hours, you will be boarding the beautiful Magic, hearing your name announced as you leave all the stress and packing behind... You're almost there!!! Hang in there!!!

As for the jeans dilemma, I'm always cold, so I know there's no question for me! In fact, they're all in the washer right now waiting to be dried. I need to print out the last of the iron-ons (for the replacement on the FE and for the pillow cases), re-pack my junk, take stuff out of the boys junk, pack the DH's junk, then figure out what miscellaneous junk has been left out... Geeze... We have a lot of JUNK!!!

On the productive side, I got the WDW decision made and got the info for that, got the stuff for the DS's valentine boxes, decorated them, put together and labeled all of their valentines and they are ready to go to school with them tomorrow. Now I sit on here, lol... And I just remembered I don't have a bottom for my pirate costume... No one wants to see that!!! I better go back into productivity mode... I can only handle being productive for so long

It was a busy day at work with lots of little last minute unexpected to do's but it's all behind me now!

Big task for tonight is to measure DH and DS for tux, of course besides more packing!

The weather sounds good for the trip once we set sail. I'm a jeans person too so jeans will be a staple in my suitcase.

I don't think I shared this but yesterday I was able to get a reservation for Friday night at Boma at Animal Kingdom. I've heard it's good and it will be a surprise for the kids. Hopefully we will be able to see the animals in the savanna area by the hotel.

DS13 is so hyper excited about the trip right now. I got a really sweet email from one of my sister's today wishing us all a fantastic cruise. Excitement is high here.

We got our cruise packet a week or so ago but didn't get the Magical Express baggage tags and CBR info for Friday and that all came so we are good to go and don't have to worry about checked bags in Orlando. Thank you Magical Express!

I am so happy to read that I am not the only Procrastinator with ADD issues. I put one thing in the luggage, realize I'm missing something else, gotta run to store. Come home, pack that, oh shoot still forgot something. Or need to add more "stuff". I make myself friggin dizzy! It's because I am outnumbered by children!

Tomorrow the puppy goes to "pet hotel" and I end up awake all night making sure I have everything done before we leave @5am. We're kinda overwhelmed with the amount of luggage we need now that the kids are so much bigger. Sheesh. Add jeans to the mix, and shoot what happened to our escape from the cold? Sweatshirts and jeans, ready for any cold snap that may visit Florida. Have ressie for Valentine's day @ Crystal Palace. Because the fun just can't end at the port

Question about the "paba free"... can't reread threads, no time. Can someone update me on this issue? I looked today and found nothing that said "paba free. Thanks!

So it is about 2 am. I finished the flags. Scavenger Hunt and Bingo for our ice breakers. DH just needs to help me out with a couple of things to get it completely done.

I still can't believe how much is left to do. Too much to think about now. I'm already stressed and DO NOT need anything else to keep me from sleeping.

About 16 hours and counting until we leave. I'm taking the 1st leg of our drive down. We drive straight through. I'll stop driving after about 10 hours. I'm getting too old for these all nighters and driving straight through. I really feel hung over without the joy of drinking

I'm going to attempt to sleep now.

so i have been tossing this VERY same issue around oddly enough (or maybe not so oddly as we ALL seem to be on the same wavelength)....i have borrowed the FANCIEST of fancy REALLY $$ jeans from my girlfriend for whom money is NOT an issue (God Bless her!) and she was gracious enough to let me borrow them! i HAVE to wear them!! i mean they are fancy enough to wear to the formal night (though dont worry i know its a no no) soooo i have decided to wear them ON the ship.....meaning the day we embark! look for me in my sparkly fabulous jeansssss!!!
the downside is i have to give them back at the end!!!

Good morning!

I could have strangled dh last night. First of all he waits until Monday night to see what he wants to pack. He then realizes he doesn't have enough decent t-shirts to make it the entire week. So he goes shopping yesterday, comes home with a ton of crap, and tries it all on. I bite my tongue, lip and hold my breath to keep from cussing him, while I act like a good little wife and fold it and put it in the suitcase. Well, the swimming trunks he bought were too big. GREAT. Guess who's taking them back today to exchange them? ME!!

We leave in less than 24 hours and I KNEW this would happen. I even told him weeks ago this would happen. HE is the only one that has caused an issue packing and it's so close to time to leave!!! ARRRGGGHHHHH!!!!!

But I digress. Deep breaths.



I'm running last minute errands today. Kids are off the school bus at 4. Getting their last minute things together, taking motion sickness meds around 5:30, and in bed at 6:30. Then I'm hopefully in bed by 8:30 and asleep by 9!

The alarm will go off around 3 am! Oh joy!

Safe travels to everyone today and tomorrow. I'll be back later to say whatever else is on my mind! lol

Forget something... again!

Connie, Boma is wonderful. We ate there on our last trip to WDW two years ago. The dinner was really good, and the overall atmosphere is lovely at AKL anyhow. We stayed there and fell in love with the place. I've had breakfast there twice now and love the breakfast even more than the dinner. You'll have a good time! Enjoy!

I couldn't sleep last night and now I'm tired but have tons to do but am very excited to pack!

I guess I jumped the gun. I tried to do e-check in for the flights and I couldn't...our flights leave at 7:45 and it was only 7:00 AM. I guess they mean it when they say within 24 hours...of FLIGHT DEPARTURE. I was thinking it's the day before and I should be good to get that task done.

Oh my Gosh! I need medication!!!! I just got teary realizing that this is the last time I'm going to say that to you all!!! The next time I say it will be IN PERSON!!! Hugs all around!!!! I'm too huggie probably.

Well, the VV flag is done and I made to mini's for my kids. Theirs actually turned out better! I tried to make the adult version big enough should we bring it to the beach. I wanted the dowl thick enough so we could get it into the ground with out snapping it. It came out OK - NOT Sue worthy I'm sure. She has all the talent. Hi Sue

Last minute returns due to others not doing as asked (or told in my case!). I empathise. My DD left her school book at teh doc's office and didn't realize until 8pm last night. SO, where do I have to go today...the bleepin' doc's office. I purposely changed my appt to last night so I wouldn't have to go today!!!!!!!! She wasn't the only family member to add to my very long already to-do-list!

I get that things happen but good golly miss molly! hours before we're leaving!!! And I'm the one driving through the night by myself when everyone else is sleeping!! I need a nap today. No oh, not gettin' it.

Enough for my rant - just saying I hear and feel ya fellow VV's.

I know, I'll just turn back the clock and give us all as much time as we need to get everything done and then teleport us all on the ship...no planes, cars and while I'm dreaming I'll even have our luggage already in our rooms, ironed, folded and placed neatly away.

I can't sleep either. I have everything out (down to my scrunchies) - now to cram it all in to 4 suitcases and 2-3 roller boards. Wish me luck....

I thinik I could EVEN officially check in if I wanted to at this point. I guess that means

1 MORE SLEEP until paradise time!

Good Morning eveyone, I can't wait for all of you to step aboard the ship and all the packing issues will be no more. You will have to go to deck 9 and have a drink of the day and all the stresses of pre vacation will just melt away. The breezz and smell of the ocean will bring a certain calm and sounds and sites of smiles will turn your frowns upside down. Happy times are approaching and packing and preparing will be distant memories and new friends will take their places. As you enjoy your vacation look and memorize all the new faces as they will begin to appear in your memory books and digital photos and of course the Fish Externder gift will make you laugh and wish you were still there. In the future you will look back at those and remember the Valentine Voyagers ruled the Magic the week of February 7th to the 14th of 2009, it will never be the same.

Thank you to everyone for adding so much to this trip for me. It was for so long a trip that we weren't sure we'd actually be able to keep the reservation so I hoped and longed it would be true from last April until Nov. when we had to make the decision to really do it. I lurked this forum for so long and wanted to join in earlier but didn't want to get "attached" to you all if we couldn't go.

Susan, I am imagining standing on deck and it is all MAGICical!

I know I'm sounding sappy but oh so happy! Time to try the online flight check-in.

All our laundries done but now it's just gotta be packed and we have to figure out exactly how we wanna do the FE packaging. We bought something really neat for everybody, but it's in that plastic packaging that's sealed tight all around the edges. So we were thinking of cutting them open for everyone but we didn't want people to think they were used... Any suggestions? Maybe we're just thinking too much into this

My personal thought about your FE gifts...do what is ever the easiest for you. From communicating with the group now for awhile it seems to me that they'd appreciate even thumb tack. (Oh, by the way I hope you all like your thumb tack from me nah...I got everyone a toothpick, a real nice toothpick and only used once )

My morning errands are over and now I'm waiting on the boys to get home in a few hours. Honestly I'm prety much done except for the things I have to do tonight and in the early a.m. So I sit and wait and freak out that I've forgotten something!
