I had a really yucky weekend which made me miss like 10 pages of Valentine Voyager news! I am trying to get myself caught up with everyone and hopefully I won’t get behind anymore!

I had to be up super early Friday for court for work, then again super early on Saturday for DS’s basketball game, and then I had errands to run and stuff to finish getting ready for the trip, etc. I think I mentioned before how I turn into the Beast when I don’t get enough sleep, well, that was me on Saturday until I collapsed for a long nap. But even that didn’t stop the inevitable... the migraine had started by dinner on Saturday and didn’t completely subside until this morning. I did get the laundry and a lot of packing done yesterday because it was down to a dull ache (as opposed to the exploding fireworks behind my eyes from Saturday evening), but I’m still not quite caught up on my sleep (I know, it’s shocking that exploding fireworks aren’t very conducive to sleeping, right). I’m hoping to have a good night tonight.

On to happy things…

We’re on the noon shuttle from the Radisson (anybody else?), so I have no idea when we’ll get to the port and get through security, but I’m hoping we’re not really late like we were last year so I can actually catch up with some of you guys before we board. We’ll have name tags (lime green Home Depot Mickey Heads!) and I’m going to try to find some lime green ribbon this week. We’ll also all have matching teal Disney tshirts on – so you’ll be able to spot us for sure !

And thanks you guys for reminding me about all the yummy fruit onboard - I am very particular about my fruit and it’s hard to find a good selection here most of the year – plus, it is a pita to have to cut it up yourself!

VV Coffee dates – I’m not a morning person (like that wasn’t obvious by my "super early" references above!) and I don’t drink coffee either (I like my caffeine Mountain Dew flavored), but I think I can pull myself out of bed at least once to catch up with my new friends! Please let me know if there was a time or day set up that I missed in my frantic post reading. I promise I won’t be beastly !

Dee – OMG about your poor little guy – hope he’s feeling better! – and about your DH letting you “mark” him for the cruise! How funny and what a trooper!

Sue – your bag and FE – awesome! I am in awe of your sewing skills ! I can’t even sew a button on. And just so everyone knows, I’m angling to win that bag !

Ideas for Grand Cayman – I talked to my mom about this and the only must do for us (well, me) is Margaritaville so I can get a shirt and a shotglass. And I’ve heard rumors of the free samples of the rum cake at the Tortuga Rum Factory, which may be worth a gander if it’s not too far off from the boat. Dad can’t get off at GC because of the tender and he’ll be by himself all day on Cozumel day so we don’t want to be off the ship too long at GC. That will probably be prime pool time for us.

Speaking of Cozumel day – we changed our Dolphin thing to 10:45 so I could be sure to have time to run to Margaritaville to get a shirt and a shotglass (hmmm, anyone noticing a pattern here). Marie – were you guys going at 10:45 too? To all the PUPs – that sounds like a lot of fun! Don’t forget the sunscreen and don’t drink the water because we don't want anyone to look like this ! Unfortunately I don’t think we’ll be able to join you due to our other activities, plus we have early seating for dinner and since my mom WILL NOT eat while we’re off the boat we’ll probably be pretty darn hungry!

Speaking of Margaritaville – guess what I’ll be doing on Key West! I may actually try to have a drink at this one since the only to do items here are Margaritaville and key lime pie on a stick!

Awesome! Glad I’m not the only adult who plays the Wii alone ! And the meet games sound like a lot of fun BTW.

As far as missing WDW this trip, I’ve been trying to figure out a way to sneak over to DTD at least, but we’re going to have to stretch the speed limit on the way down to swing that one I think. I’ve been consoling myself by thinking we can add a few days at the world on to our bounceback cruise later this year - hopefully. We’ll have to have a follow up chat here so we can have the Valentine Voyagers Bounceback Cruise, or something like that…

I think I got everyone on Facebook. If I missed anyone, I’m sorry – I was going through the posts pretty quickly. Amanda – I’m starting to think we may have been separated at birth! The way you described your personality fits me to a tee. So, for the record, Amanda and I are a little slow to warm up – we are not snooty (yep, I’ve gotten that one before too)! Although, since it feels like I already know you guys, you may not get to see the quiet, reserved Sabrina.

OH my goodness, You all have been very busy. I'm the night owl here. I don't have much news. But I talked with my boss at lunch, we went to subway today. He said that the stingray excurision was really a must do, and yes they do swarm you when the food comes out. They other thing he told me was make sure the when you give the squid to them that after you don't sort of wipe off the squid juices on another part of your body. that the stingrays can smell it and will go for that area thinks there is more food. He said when he went one of the guys that was with his group did wipe is hand on his stomach and a stingray gave him one big ole hickie.

Say honey, whered' ya' get' that big hickie, she sure had a big set of lips...

So not I'm thinking that might be something to try, not sure yet. I'm not sure that I wouldn't freek out...

I do know as was mentioned, I gotta send a post card from HELL...

That way I too can say I've been to Hell and back. ha ha


I am having so much fun talking with all of you. Even DD say that is has been great reading all the posts.

PS.. Susan, I did make reservations for the beach in Cozumel, so if you are still looking for someone to tag along with you and your daughter are welcome. Thou with how large the group is that is going, I don't think you will have any issues with that.

Thanks Pam, I figure if I'm at the cab stand at that 10:45is to 11am time I'll see you and probably the rest of the group if we all get there at the same time, do you think they would have a larger van type cab that we would all go together. Maybe even less cost per person.

I'm getting very excited about this trip.

Phil, thanks for asking! the CW west palm news at 10, been doing it for about 6 months now, i am the entertainment reporter and i am LOVIN it!! i was VH1 years ago so being back on TV after having babies and all that fun stuff is WAY cool!!!

soooo looking forward to just relaxing for a change and not getting up at 3 am, but VV coffee clatch, now you see why i am a morning person! LOL

I can see that I am going to wind up with a facebook page by the end of this cruise. I have been avoiding it up until now as I suspect that I could spend a lot of time on it. I'm such a computer moron. I don't know how to load pictures and all that stuff.

I actually printed out portions of posts so that I could hope to reply to everything I wanted to.

Sabrina and Amanda , I too have had my shyness mistaken for snootiness. It may be because of age or perhaps because of my DH, but it doesn't seem to happen as much anymore or, maybe it does and I just don't hear about it. My husband is not shy at all (you'll see) and it is possible that I've had to temper my shyness just to survive around him.

Dee, thank you for your plumbing wishes and your tip about the Disney Outlets. I have printed out the directions to the one at the Premium Outlets across from Downtown Disney.

Sabrina, glad you are recovering from your migraine. I understand the they are absolutely incapacitating. Thanks for your plumbing fairy dust...I'll take all I can get. We are booked for the Dolphin Swim at 09:45(I just checked) but I may be interested in a trek to Margaretaville.... were you going to do that before or after? ...I just realized that before would have you drinking margaritas before 10 a.m.


Me too!! for coffee in the morning although I may not be worth talking to until I've had my first cup. I can't imagine that they have coffee makers in the rooms; do they? Last year at WDW I broke a toe stumbling down to get coffee in the morning. Missed a curb. I'm not functional without it.

Can one just take a cab from the Radiasson? I have not reserved a spot on the shuttle and I want to get there early.

Questions about the Radisson shuttle - how do you get a ressy for it? Do I need to call a certain #? I booked online to save $ and there wasn't any info about the shutttle times or making ressies.

Sabrina, I can't imagine having a migraine. DH gets them once in a while but luckily they don't last long. I hope it is better.

Hi everyone,
So much fun seeing you all on facebook. I was in rehearsal last night (A MIdsummer Night's Dream) and kept checking my phone and was so excited with all of my friend requests. Let's just say it made me feel VERY important! Didn't have a chance to check ya'll out until late!

Here's the problem, I think I'm addicted to this board and now facebook! I will never get anything packed, perhaps we need to have a conference call, so we can pack and talk!! (that graphic has nothing to do with this, but I like it!)

Anyway, this is so real now and how much fun to actually meet you all in just over a week!!!

I got to sleep in until 9 am this morning!!! We were expecting a 2-hour delay but got the whole thing! We're supposed to get up to another 5 inches tonight, so looks like I'm getting a mid-week weekend!

I went tanning last night for my first pre-cruise session. Think I probably should have started a LOT sooner!!! I hope everyone has sunglasses to block the glare off of my super-white skin!!! Hopefully I can get a couple more sessions, plus an afternoon on Cocoa. I'm not usually concerned about stuff like that, but last time I went to the Caribbean, I burned (even with sunscreen). I figure if I throw in a couple of sessions before I go, it won't shock my skin as bad. The good thing on mine is that when I burn, it turns into one heckuva tan, so there are pluses if my theory doesn't work!!!

Goals for today: Finish washing summer clothes for boys, try on shorts (with fingers crossed), finish FE, finish FE gifts, pack at least one suitcase, make a shopping list (not that I can go anywhere!!!).

So much to do!!!

So, the one day I have off before the cruise and I was going to pack today, but alas, it is a snow day and the kids are home too. Trying to pack with a bored 10 and 7 year old is not fun! It's so cold I can't even get the horses out of the barn much less the kids to go outside!

I have a silly question, I noticed on an old navigator that the kids clubs on the first night all say "family exploration" or something like that. Can you still drop off the kids without parents? That's the only night we could get a Palo's ressie.

Hope everyone else is more organized than I am at the moment!

So, my snow day goals are falling to the wayside already... I did get 4 more FE gifts done, but I better go get the laundry going. The same two loads have been occupying the washer and dryer for like 3 days now because I think my brain is ALREADY on vacation mode
