February 7, 2009 Western early check in!

Well we had our big surprise.

We had them open a gift that gave them a clue to the first of 3 more gifts (2 of them having clues to the next gift).

In the first gift there was sunblock with a clue to gift #2 which had 2 underwater cameras. Then to #3 which had a book on cruise ships from Barnes and Noble. Then on to the final clue #4 which had a photo album with some pics we found of the Magic, plus our 4 passports and the DCL cruise book and DVD. The last clue probably took them 5-10 minutes of searching to find.

The reveal went great and then we watched the DVD together to see all of the happenings on board and ashore.

They are so excited. DS4 said this will be FUNtastic (new word tonight).

We are now even more excited. We will be setting up an email address for our DD9.

Sorry I haven't been here in the last few days. I've been crazy busy with the boys being home for break.

Our big reveal went FANTASTICAL! They were shocked and awed. I'll have to post pics when I get a chance. Now we have our countdown started and I can't believe it's finally so close.

Believe me when I say how relieved I am that I can finally talk about it out in the open! LOL A year of silence was killing me. My mouth is too big!

Well, I'm off to finish up a job online. Hope everyone is recovered from the happy holidays!

So glad to hear that reveals went well for you guys!!!! How exciting!! It makes me wish I would have waited, but I know there is NO way I could have kept my mouth shut for that long!!!! And I only had a few months!!!

So I was doing what I usually do with down time at the computer-- obsessing over everything that has to do with this cruise and trying to come up with new things to obsess over... I found this thread on here that I hadn't seen before and I thought I would pass it on so I am not drooling all by myself

Glad to hear all the reveals went well. That's so exciting. We had a reveal of our own on Sunday. We finally told all of our family that the first grandchild is coming. I wrapped up different onesies for everyone to open at the same time and they were all so shocked. It's probably the only surprise I've been able to keep a secret my whole life So now the real planning for baby can begin.... but only after we have all of our stuff for the cruise together
Can't wait for all the good food and all the sun!

Hearing about your baby reveal to your family really brought me back to Feb 14 1999 like it was yesterday! We had a great deal of trouble conceiving so the big baby reveal had to be special which I guess every mom wants the reveal to be special regardless of anything, right. We invited both sets of parents over, mine from NJ and DH's from around the corner for a Valentine Dinner. Every food item had some red in it somehow...I out did myself with the menu I must say. Then before dessert we asked them to close their eyes and we had something that had to be "READ" before they left. My DH began filming and I ran and got some ultrasound pix and the whiteboard with attached baby balloons and a blown up picture of a baby with the words, "Nan & Pop and Grandma and GrandPa, just wanted to say HI and that I'll be seeing you in August - Love Jordan". OMG - I'm tearing up just writing this memory. I'm such a goofball.

My Mom and DH's mom stood up and screamed, my dad hugged me and DH's Dad looked like, "what did I miss?, what's going on?" Watching it over and seeing his expression of total confusion was priceless.

Enjoy your memories of every second. It really is true that you blink and the years fly by. Try to document as much as you can because even though we all say, "I'll never forget...we do

We made our paperchain countdown calendar yesterday! We're breaking out the suitcase tomorrow so I can start placing our summer clothes somewhere other than at the bottom of our bed. DH will be happy to be able to stretch out without me yelling, "Don't knock all the clothes on the floor!" I just drive him crazy at every turn with the cruise

Dee - Thanks so much! That sounds like an awesome way to do a baby reveal especially all the red food... for us it was my SIL that was the only one that didn't get it. It's almost as if she thought the tiny outfit was for her Glad we got it all on video! She'll never live it down.

The DISmeet is a meeting set up by those reading and writing this particular thread about our cruise. I may have missed the location and time somewhere in these last few pages but we will set a place and time onboard and get together to mingle and put real faces with the screen names. We have named our group the "Valentine Voyagers".

The Fish Extender (FE) is also set up by those on this thread. This is purely for fun for anyone who wishes to participate. Here are a few links we mentioned which really explained FE's in detail and with pictures

- All of those who want to "play" have just announced it in our message and then our wonderful Sue, MyLove4Disney, has been finding all of these announcemnts and maintaing a list of those sailing from our thread and FE info.
- List your cabin # or numbers and who will be participating so Sue can add you and so we can find you and leave appropriate items.

My DD, flew down to Anaheim (Disneyland) well DCA and spent new years eve with the mouse.

Her ex boy friend invited her down, they had so much fun last year they had to do it again this year. She is so lucky, he even bought her ticket.

Welcome to mickchick6. I have three boys so I'm right there with you. When I read that you have 4 boys I told my dh and he was speechless. LOL We've toyed with the idea of having one more and we KNOW we'd have a boy. But for now I think we may be set with our 3. We're still young though!

Namsupak, on the baby reveal, that's so cool. You guys really made it special for your family. I think that's great. We were never that creative when telling our friends and family. I wish we had been...

The past few weeks has been horrible on the diet front. Tomorrow is going to be the real start of it all. I feel like I'm running out of time to lose just a few pounds. I need someone to hold me accountable!

While I've enjoyed having the boys home from school these past few weeks, I'm ready for school to start up again so we can get back to normal life. I think once we do I'll be able to concentrate on at least thinking about packing. I don't want to wait until the last minute and then rush around like a crazy woman.

And then dh hits me with a bombshell yesterday. He normally works a day light job, typical hours are from 7 to 4 or 5. Well, this month he has to do his training classes during odd hours. So he'll be working funky hours for the whole month! So much for getting back to a routine.

Happy New Year to everyone! I'm off to eat a sweet roll before starting my diet tomorrow!
