February 7, 2009 Western early check in!

Nothing to say really-- Just thinking about all of you on my way down to pack!!! Almost at the 2 week mark!!! AAAAHHHHH!!!!:beach:

I just wanted to say hi and congrats to all of us for getting our docs. Ours came yesterday and our tags are lime green too. We're in 6550 which isn't a surprise, we booked that room because it's the same as the one we had on the Wonder a few years ago and we liked it.

I can't seem to find time to keep up with the boards. I spent WAY too much time reading stuff last time around and since I work in an office when I am usually by myself I have to use extreme self control to keep from logging on too often. When I get a chance, I get overwhelmed when I see 20 new pages and not enough time to read it all! :crazy2:

My sincerest apologies to anyone who has tried to contact me about getting my daughter involved in a pre-cruise chat (she is 9). When I signed up for the DIS a few years back I used a different e-mail address, so every notice of a new post and messages from DIS people go to that one. It is still a valid e-mail but I only look at it very occaisionally and it tends to get back logged with crazy amounts of stuff. Especially with the DIS stuff, I don't really look at every link, many take me to the same threads. Anyway, sorry, I didn't mean to seem rude and ignore people, I am just seeing requests now that were sent quite a while back.

Just barely over two weeks now! :cool1:

my docs went out in the mail yesterday i was told by the travel agent today! tiffany is sending my FE out tomorrow! i am ready to cruuuuuise!

My goodness, I haven't been online since Monday and there's a bunch of pages to catch up on!!!

TinkerKat - my DS Zachary (4 months) seems to be missing from your list.

I finished all of my FE shopping today! I hope everyone likes their stuff.

Our docs arrived yesterday as well. No upgrade here...

I can't believe that 11 days from now I will be in Florida!!!! :cool1: DS4 is so excited to go on the Mickey Boat again.

Finally!! I started packing, spent most of the afternoon cleaning out my closet making piles for cruise, for charity and for the dump! I can't believe how much stuff I actually save. :crazy2: I knew once I took out all my summer clothes I would want to go shopping.;) Seems like all my white shirts are kinda off white, I have no idea why I even saved themm, ughh..oh well at least its a start. Hope eveyone had a great day. Can't wait to meet everyone! :grouphug:

So when I packed away the boys summer clothes, I made sure I put in Disney clothes last... Soooo-- Murphy's law (I used to be a Murphy, so God knows it haunts me whenever it can!!!), I can't find the box!!!! Could be in storage, but DH has the key and he won't be home til late tonight. So I've laid out a bunch of the polo shirts and shorts for the boys and a bunch of summer shirts for me. The shorts and bathing suits are gonna look a little rough!!!

Ok-- Here's my tangent for the day... I'm usually a workout-a-holic, so bear with me!!! I heard a couple of people awhile back say stuff about their plans to work out or even train before the trip, so I'll just throw this out there. I can still work on my abs and arms with the boot (we have an ab-lounge and a bowflex), but treadmill is out of the question (it's collecting dust and feeling neglected!!!) and I don't have a bike. Tried pilates the night before last and might try to stick to that, but I'm a cardio girl-- If I'm not panting by the end of a workout, I don't feel like I did anything!!! We do have Comcast OnDemand ExerciseTV (wow-- that's a mouthful!), so if anyone knows of any good bum-and-thigh workouts hiding on there that would work without a foot, please point me in that direction!!! I've been searching, but I haven't found one I like yet. I can't wait til I get on the boat and have a bike to go on-- I am hoping those are boot-compatable :)

Ok, I'm done :) And dinner is beeping... DH is working late tonight, so I'll hop back on later :)

Michellepooh, I saw from the list that you are arriving Sunday 1st and in a timeshare as well. We are staying at the Grand Beach, so let me know if you're at the same one. We have a DS4 and DS 18mos

So I was online the other night, reading posts and about to go to bed when I thought I'd try one more time for a Palo reservation for dinner. Amazingly enough there was one available for Sat PM :cool1: DH nearly fell on the floor in shock, after mocking me for checking it so often.

LOL

guess what guys? me and my co-host were asked to broadcast from the new IDOL EXPERIENCE at WDW hollywood studios and i cant, why you ask? I WILL BE ON THE DCL!! UGH!~ i am bummed, not about the cruise of course, but i will miss the hoopla at WDW!! what are the chances?! next time i guess, i will find the light at the end of that tunnel, i will be in paradise anyway having the time of my life celebrating turning the big 4-0 with you all!!:grouphug:

Ahoy mates! And good morning to you landlubbers!

Michelle, that stinks. That would have been so cool to do. But definitely keep thinking about the light at the end of the tunnel! You'll have a great vacation and won't think twice about not being a part of the broadcast!

Sue, the beach that we're hoping for in Coz is Playa Uvas. The website is http://www.playauvas.com . If you have questions about it they are real quick to respond if you email them.

Nothing new to report from my end really. Time is flying! Let's hope the week onboard feels like three years!

whats the diff. between playa uvas and playa mia?? or any other beaches in cozumel for that matter? hubby and DD8 are taking the ruins/beach tour and DD6 and i are hitting the beach just us 2. is one beach better than another?

The difference in beaches varies from what I can see. Some offer amenities that others do not. Such as a pool, showers, lockers, open bar, etc. We're going to Uvas because it's supposed to be a little less crowded then some of the other beaches. But I don't think you can actually go wrong with your beach choice. It's just a matter of what you're looking for. HTH.

Michelle, that totally stinks about missing out at WDW, but it will be worth it once you cross the gangplank.

PG, if you go to a beach on your own make sure to bring your own water with you, just in case.

I've been to Playa Mia. When we went it was very very hot :firefight and the beach was extremely crowded :crazy2: but there was an area set up under canopy for cruise people to eat lunch. The cruise also provided safe drinks for the people on excursions. The beach also had a lot of water activities at an additional cost. My kids had a blast but I will admit I was a little nervous with them in the water because there were sooo many people there, however they did have a little kiddie pool. Good luck.. you may see me there..::yes::

still packing :hyper:

p.s they need a sunburned smiley

Newbies08 - We are staying at Silver Lake Resort, it borders the Animal Kingdom property. We've owned there for about 11 years now. Great location! Are you doing parks everyday? We are.

We are doing Palo on Thursday night. Mmmm... can't wait for that chocolate souffle'!

I am right there with you. I would totally rather make sure I am current and reading this because i am getting so excited and it kind of just feeds the energy. But they actually expect me to work for some reason (LOL)

I was up way too late working on magnets for door and FE gifts. I don't mind so much missing sleep if I am doing fun things. And its SO much fun!

I have put together my stuff and DS stuff. We'll probably drag suit cases out next WEDNESDAY....

Anyway.... hope you all are having fun.. I have to get back to work!

Have a great day and great disney dreams!:goodvibes

I will definitely catch up with you there! I did find some workouts last night that I could handle. Mostly floor exercises with some squat stuff that didn't feel great, but were tolerable. I'm a bad patient-- The only thing that would REALLY keep me off of it is if there was even a slight chance that I could get out of it for the cruise, but there isn't, so... You're right about the bike!!! I can't wait for that-- I'm hoping that there are some up against the windows. I might even be able to get the DH up there in the mornings if the kids will hang out in the clubs for a bit (I don't think there's a problem there!).

I'm going to cross my fingers and check the Palo site just for kicks... Has anyone had a brunch open up yet? Then it's off to the vet with my Princess Puppy. I think she knows we're getting ready to leave, so stuff is acting up with her. Be back later!!!

Will do! Thanks!!!

Off to get the boys from the bus. Early release days are such a waste!

ugh.. my dd17 has midterms this week, she's home like an hour after the little ones go, totally stinks!

I am actually sitting in my car behind school to pick up ds6. I'm here four times a day thanks to different schedules for two boys. Thank God for wireless and an iTouch!!! I'd go nuts :upsidedow

I just found these boards and will be cruising with you guys on our first disney cruise. Is it too late to join in all the fun? If it is, I hope everyone has a wonderful time anyway:)
