February 28, 2009 Bushwacker Banditos Magical Cruise

So... I'm sure it will come as no surprise to you that I LIED about the Super Bowl time difference... the real reason I knew they won is because I'm omniscient.

The best part was Jennifer Hudson singing the SSB.

I still have to watch the commercials... there is a couple web sites where you can watch them. Why is everyone mad at Go Daddy? Did someone show a nipple again and send the Super Bowl audience into apoplexy?

Close...their ads are pretty offensive to watch when your 8 yr old boy and 5 yr old girl are watching with you. If I was only with adults, it would be different; but the ads are so offensive to women, so that bothers me too.

I did like the Budweiser ad where the circus horse runs away with the Clydesdale.

And the moosehead one. I laughed my a$$ off ...

And yes Vanessa - the Potatohead one was very cute. I missed it last night, but thank god for the internet...

I love Law & Order!! One of my favorite shows!

I didn't like those Go Daddy commercials either. I thought they were stupid. Luckily none of the kids were watching. They were too busy playing Guitar Hero the whole time.
After commercials aired my cousin Jeremy was like "Those commercials were retarded."

But besides that, the game was GREAT!!

I didn't watch the super bowl I watched my law and order dvd:lmao:

Not a football fan???

You are a true blue faithful Nets girl only, are you????:rotfl: :rotfl: LOL!!!!!!

I am not so much of a sports fan..but did watch and actually enjoyed the game (esp the end when it got exciting!!!) I guess I probably paid more attention to the commercials...I think I must say the Doritos commercials were my favorite :lmao: :lmao:

I must have either been talking or eating too much, ( good chance I was doing both LOL!!!) cause I missed the Go Daddy one, I did however so the Potato Head one and it was cute!!!!!

So is everyone getting in MAJOR Cruise Mode!~!!!!!! I know I am!!! :cool1:
I have started packing a few things, have much more to do than I have done LOL!!!!

Can't Wait!!!!!!!

I am sooo in cruise mode!
I have a LOT of work right now (annual report time peeps!), but I am in such a good mood about this vacay it is ridiculous.

Valentine's day is approaching, DH and I will be going out for dinner to a small Japanese restaurant, I am looking forward to that. Also I might go watch Coraline that weekend. I brought my team mates some Valentines candy today to get in the whole Valentines gear.

I managed to shed 5lbs (finally!) and I am still going at it. Wiggle room people! WIGGLE! :cool1: :rotfl2:

I have never even seen a cruise ship, so I am sooo looking forward to this! I am sure we will have a blast. DH is so excited he can barely stop talking about it.

DH ordered a waterproof camera that takes video and great photos, I love swimming, so we will be taking it along at Castaway Cay. He found it for $65 dollars less than retail, yay!

I am not a fan of pro football either. The players ruin the game for me. I hate it when I hear a football player say it is so hard to come back a week later after a hard game. I would love to see that player try to play to hockey games back to back, or two Basketball games back to back. Sorry I think football players are whimps. My opinion. The best thing about the superbowl is that means spring training is starting next week. The dodger pitcher and catchers have to report next Friday. Thank goodness it is almost baseball time.

I don't think you can compare football to hockey and basketball. If you think football players are wimps, would you mind standing on a field and getting hit by a linebacker coming at you like a Mack truck? And it's not that they CAN'T play games back to back, it's just how things are scheduled. But then again it wouldn't be safe for the players to play back to back games when it's as physical as football.
In football, EVERY PLAY is physical and you have a guy who's 6'8 or taller and 250 to 300 pounds hitting you as hard as they can.
You don't see that in basketball OR hockey unless they get slammed up against a wall or get into a fist fight. but it's still not the same.
I understand that it's your opinion but I have football players in my family and they sure as hell aren't wimps.
Just my opinion.

So, is everyone ready for this cruise or what??!

You are so right. I just keep thinking three weeks from Wed. I am flying to Orlando to start my pre cruise trip to WDW. I respect your opinion, Ness about football, but I have played all four sports, and Hockey was the onemy body could not take after getting hit by a mack truck into a frozen surface. Football was not as hard on me as either basketball or hockey, but maybe because I was a saftey. Regardless, baseball is life. Now that is not physical so I won't go there. This trip need to get here. I need some serious drinking time.

No, Brenda, I haven't heard anything from Dave either. Do you think he is trying to ignore us?

Congrats to all the Steelers fans!!! I liked all the Anheuser commercials. The potato heads were pretty funny too.

We tried booking spa appointments last night. Sea days are pretty much booked, at least for the appointments we tried to get. We need to schedule the nursery with our spa. The appointment we made is for 11:45 and the nursery isn't available until noon. Anyone know if they save some spots like they do for Palo and we might be able to still get that time in the nursery? Otherwise we will have to skip the spa on this trip.

I'm with you, Alan... I can't stand football! I don't watch the Superbowl, I don't even watch the Grey Cup here in Canada (the CFL version of the Superbowl), which is, I believe, a hanging offense in some parts of the country. :lmao: :lmao:

I tend to be in agreement with George Will regarding football: it combines the two worst aspects of American society... violence and committee meetings. :rotfl2:

I am, however, a rabid baseball fan, and am getting antsy for spring training. I am seriously contemplating grabbing a couple of tickets to see the Braves play the Astros on Feb 26th (we will be at WDW) at the Disney Sports complex.

Everyone here is in full cruise mindset. I was talking to my brother back east on the weekend and everyone there is going crazy with anticipation. The kids are having a hard time concentrating on school, the grown-ups are having a hard time concentrating on work. :lmao:

...speaking of which, I must try to concentrate on work myself... (Castaway Cay... Castaway Cay...). Oh, well.... have a good week everyone!

John

I am going bananas over here.
I have tons of work to get through before setting foot on board.
I might have to do the annual report if my layout gets chosen... I sorta don't wanna do it, I hate annual reports :lmao:

I work with a team of 3 other designers and 2 of us are presenting concepts tomorrow, so I am trying to polish my proposals. My boss is liking them a lot, and if my bosses bosses boss likes it I'll be doing it. :scared:

The report is due in March, so yeah... I don't want it hanging over my head the whole trip, but boy would it be a great portfolio piece for my first year of work here :cool1:

DH is picking his suits next week, he even picked shirts and ties to coordinate with my dresses. He is being way too sweet, I might get spoiled and then he'll have to live with it :rotfl2:

Anybody else looking forward to playing dress up on formal night? :groom: princess:
