February 28, 2009 Bushwacker Banditos Magical Cruise

Vamessa, try to remember that every pregnancy is different.

I too live less than a mile from the beach but our beaches certainly look nothing like the beaches in the Caribbean. (Especially the water!) I can't wait to get that sand between my toes!

I hope this one is different! So far it's the same nausea but LESS barfing, which is GOOD!

Oh, and I can't wait to feel that sand between my toes too and breathe that fresh air and feel the warm sun......inhale.....exhale.....ah yes....lovely!

Vanessa I just went and looked through my old posts and see I was 18 weeks when we cruised. You'll have a great time!

Nice! How friggin' cool is that?? That's how far I'll be!
Did you have any problems with nausea??
That's the only thing I'm scared of. :scared:

Congratulations! I was pregnant on our last cruise and still had a sip or two of a Bushwaker. No need to not at least taste it!

How else will your baby develop a taste for the finer things in life?

Welcome ChefLawrence! This is a great group!!!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

So gang... we now have a heat wave here in Germany... the mercury rose to a steamy 3 below and will only sink to 9 below tonight. That is more than a 100% improvement, no? :tinker: :ccat: :tink:

Good thing you got your Borat suit handy!
Sounds like tanning weather!

Yeah... I hate it when my buns burn :dance3:

On the other hand... despite the cold... it has been really beautiful. I've been too lazy to go out and take pictures, but I have some of our town in the snow from a few years back. With the castle and all the wood 16th and 17th century timbered houses it is really like living in a fairy land.

that picture really looks nice

Dave,
What a picturesque place to be living in!!
I am envious of you both!!

I was on a brief Contiki tour in my foolish youth and we went to/thru 14 European countries in 10 days... not alot of sleeping happened!! I think it was St Goar, a little dit dot village along the Rhine that we stopped at overnight and drank copious amounts :rolleyes1 of Apple Schnapps....WOW.. that was a hangover!!

I would love to go back some day to Germany. Dh's sister was posted there for 8 years in Baden with the CAF, and he went visiting for a 3 week stretch... wish I could have gone too! So he is quite familiar with much of Europe due to many exercises and such "over the pond".

Well you all asked for a fun or silly picture...:)
This is Lauren enjoying the snow, it was so cold for so long though that we are not able to make any snowballs or snowmen!! Now it has warmed up a tad, but is now all crusted over and is not "fun snow" anymore if you know what I mean.
I love how I caught her in mid flight!!!

:welcome: to all the new recruits to the buskwacker club :drinking1 We look forward to spending some time in the sun :cool2: out on the deck chairs :drinking1 watching all the crazies modelling their swimwear :magnify: and just enjoying the magic :tink: the Magic has to offer! Oh yeah! and keeping our drink runners t on the go back and forth for another round !:rotfl:

We probably won't be spending nights in the Rockin' D or the other nightclubs as our dd is an only child and is 4... I don't think she would do well so late in the kids clubs.

And Vanessa Congrats on the wonderful news!!! :)

St Goars is about an hour from us... we live in the forest/mountain region bordering the Rhine River Valley.... LOVE LOVE LOVE being close to the wine region as well as the customs.... like Carnival!!!

My favorite carnival costume.... kind of makes Borat suit look boring...

Dave - what a gorgeous picture!!! Can I blow it up and hang it in my office?!??! I've got to add Germany to my "bucket list" - I won't be so bold as Brenda as to invite myself (HOW RUDE! :lmao: ).

Oh...you do know I'm talking about the scenic town architecture picture, right??????? :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Barbara!! :welcome: :welcome: to both you and your daughter!!

This is a fun and crazy bunch... just jump on in and get to know us!!:)

Myself my DH and our DD (4) are on our first Disney cruise! We have cruised before the kiddo, both times on Princess.
