February 28, 2009 Bushwacker Banditos Magical Cruise

WOW!!! That is a GREAT rate...I will have to look into that, we have always rented from Budget ...they are right there IN the airport..no shuttling which is really nice, and since we have used them in the past cruises..we know the routine (as to where they are etc....), :thumbsup2

In addition to our 3:00 Promenade Dis Meet, the bar meet does sound fun, we know that Marla and Alan will already be there :cool1: !!!!! Can't guarantee that we would be there...depends on what the girls are doing, and how tired we are (we are getting old LOL!!!) ...

And as far as your Borat Suit goes..I'm sure it will be an okay substitute to the red sequined speedos...just don't forget to wear your sunscreen LOL!!!!

With you in your suit and Mark in his...we will want to hang out around the pool with the two of you, as we should for sure to be able to get a chair or TWO as everyone will be on the OTHER side of the pool, in
AWE :scared1: of the BREATHE TAKING scenery!!!! :scared1: :scared1: :lmao: :lmao:

Great visual, Brenda.

Just image me and Ron, coming out of the Goofy Pool like Bo Derek in "10," coming up from the water and parading our "stuff" around in the Nebraska-red sequined speedos. Except that with all of the food on board, I am afraid that my stomach with soon cover up the um...sequins.

We are going to have SO much fun. I cannot wait to see you guys and see the new friends I have not met yet.

Mark "YMCA" Story

...I guess that my thoughts are coming in bunches now, but here are some suggested ground rules for the Bushwacker Banditos:

1) "Wine" is accepted and welcomed in copious amounts. "Whine" is not in any amount.
2) A drink before 11:00am means we are doing things right.
3) If you are anti-social, you probably want to find a different venue to vacation, like the Unabomber shack.
4) Opinion - my favorite bars are actually outside at night when we're not "clubbing." Feeling the breeze at night while getting wasted is pretty awesome.
5) We WILL sleep when we are dead. We save our butts off forever to make the cruise happen. Let's make the most of it! The only exception to this rule comes from Rule #2, which after about three double rum and Cokes usually happens voluntarily or involuntarily.
6) The cruise meet shall happen. There is nothing cooler than meeting new friends on the first day and having people to say "hi" to for the next six days -- and cry with on the 7th. Or avoid if it turns out they are freaks.
7) Anyone who falls off the ship will make the rest of us famous.

Here's to hoping (and praying) that the EJKJ family does NOT make any of you famous!!!!!!

We are running out the door right now...but I will be back to comment on the rest of your list LOL!!!:thumbsup2

Good hearing from you Mark aka "Mr.YMCA"....hope you are feeling better:flower3:

Mark

This is Ron here. I don't have my own account so I use Ma's for the 3 or 4 posts I might make.

Mark, it sounds like you are a little club shy. I don't remember you being too afraid of the clubs last time. Maybe you're afraid of getting drug up on stage again.:scared1: Or maybe you just like bung darts in the fresh air. (Don't forget to take the wind into consideration.)

Thanks for bringing me a speedo but I won't know whether to wear that or my thong. Either way I guess I'll blend right in with you and Dave.:lmao: I can tell this is going to be a very memorable trip. Can't wait.

Brenda has our navigators out from last March and The life boat drill was at 3:30 last year. If it is the same this year, that will only give us a 1/2 hr. for the 3:00 cruise meet.

Donna, I share your sentiments on the year end tax stuff. :headache: We'll NEED a vacation after all the headaches.

We're still working on those pics. Don't want anything too embarassing. That's all for now.

ROFL
You guys are killing me! :rotfl2:

Red speedos, red sequined speedos and Borat suits?!
Oh lordy!
:lmao:

I think I need a rum and coke stat!
I am so out of the loop, silly job getting in the way of my forum fun! Hmph...if only I didn't need all that money to pay for the fun. :confused3

Can you guys believe it is getting so close?!
I am enjoying every bit of anticipation though, since every time I love a vacay it is way too soon before we are packing to go back home.

Johnna, thanks so much for keeping track of all of us.

I think DH would like to opt for the unabomber shack, he is so shy :rotfl:
Just give me some liquid courage though and we'll all be fast friends in no time... but just in case tie a rope around me, I don't wanna be the first overboard... but if I am, please post the following photo on my missing person report on the 11 o'clock news:

Does that qualify as a silly photo or what?

My rules are simple. Wake up, eat, do whatever, at bout 3 to the cove for hot tub and beer, eat, go to Diversions after dinner and get some hot dogs and drinks, then go to Rockin Bar D and get wasted till they close no matter what time I need to be up the next day, then after they close to the front of my friends room so room service will come, then to the Drink station on deck 9 to keep getting wasted.

My Rules are
1. Make as many friends and meet as many people on the ship as possible the two weeks in a row
2.Eat, Eat, Eat and Eat some more
3.having a Party and roam the ship till the sun comes up
4.Sleep hardcore
5.watch at least one basketball game on the ship
6.MEET PEOPLE
:goodvibes :lmao: :cool1:

Since I'm on a roll this morning with post...
I will wish everyone a "Happy Saturday":goodvibes

Today is when the cruisers from the first trip to St Croix get back...so we will have to be watching for info on their week:surfweb:
such as the agenda to what is on what day/night and shore excursions, I have marked a couple of threads, so if I find out anything of interest for us I will post it:thumbsup2

Hope everyone has a good day...

ChocoKat...it's good hearing from you...it has been awhile!!

Hey Mark, glad to have you back. Hope you are feeling better! Just keep thinking about drinks on Castaway Cay...

I went looking for silly pictures but couldn't really find any (not saying I'm not silly...). But I did find a couple...

Here is one of me with DS and DD at the top of the CN Tower in Toronto this past summer...

This is my little princess and pirate at Halloween...

And finally, when we were planning for the cruise, my sister said we all needed tacky Hawaiian shirts so she bought all the men in our group the same shirt. :lmao: From left to right, me, my brother , my dad, and my two brothers-in-law. All of us but Dad will be on the cruise so look for the shirts... and RUN!!! :scared1:

Have a great weekend everyone. 7 weeks from today we will be on the boat!!!

I am about to reveal the secret of our sail away fun....

BUBBLES!

Everyone should bring a bottle!

Someone wrote about the life boat drill being at 3:30 and therefore 3 beind a bad time for the Meet & Greet. We couldn't agree more. The best official meets happen right after the boat dril and before/ during beginning of sail away. The bubbles ensure high visibility and to be honest..they are just plain fun. Everyone smiles when we do this. :hippie:

Our rules for cruising...

1. Always have a fully stocked in-room bar (with travel mixer).
2. Don't forget the travel coffee mugs to fill up with in the morning to sit on deck or balcony. Keep the Baileys close by.
3. Attend as many alcohol sponsored events as possible...being sure to drink everything as to not discriminate and make one branch of the alcohol family feel unwanted or unloved.
4. Taste everything offered. Stuff yourself with favorites.
5. Cocktails before dinner are essential. Cocktails after dinner mandatory.
6. Make fun of badly dressed people... at least to me. Like Olympia said in Steel Magnolias, "If you don't have anything nice to say about people, come sit next to me."
7. Be nice to everyone... unless they fail to buy you a drink.
8. Return lost children to the child care center... or sell them for shark bait in port.
9. Lastly... always pay your bar tab. Just use someone else's credit card.

Rookie Mouse... your kids are really cute...especially in their costumes.
If you aren't that attached to them... see my rule #8. If we get enough, maybe you can sail two weeks, too!

JK... I only pretend to be mean and grumpy:rolleyes1

I love that everyone is posting pictures. It will make it easier to identify each other. On our Mariner cruise a few months ago we were standing in line for embarkation and people were already yelling our names. We tend to be famous on these things. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

You all are so great... I wish you were sailing on the first week of our back to back!! Ah hell...why don't you all extend your vacations? That way it'll start earlier!:cool1: :cheer2: :rotfl:

Dave,

We ARE extending our vacation to include the week before the cruise. However, we are spending it at the Wilderness Lodge. :thumbsup2

Just don't tell our kids... they have no idea we are doing WDW pre-cruise.

This will actually be the first time at WDW for all 4 of us. We have DD booked in to the Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique at the castle for a princess makeover princess: , followed by the Cinderella dinner buffet at 1900 Park Fare in the GF. :woohoo:

The only problem I foresee is getting me to haul my warm, relaxed butt back to the frozen north when it's all over... :scared:  :sad1:

John

Boy, you guys sure have a lot of rules!

DH and I have one rule and one rule only!!!!!

DO WHATEVER WHENEVER!!!:jumping1:

Rookie Mouse--I think that first picture is pretty silly. :goodvibes Your kids are really cute! They will be so excited to go to WDW first!

The only problem I foresee is getting me to haul my warm, relaxed butt back to the frozen north when it's all over...

I hear ya and we ain't near as cold as you guys!!!!! :scared1:

Mark and Ron--good to hear from you guys! Guess you have a hard time getting a word in edgewise with us gals (notice my DH hasn't been on here). :rotfl: :rotfl:

I don't care when or where we do the meets, I'm just so excited to meet everyone in person!!!!

SO I was just talking to a friend of mine I met on the Disney Magic this summer and not going to name his name, but he told me the DCL let him go because a male guest complained about something. I feel so bad for him:sad2: :sad1:

Dave I was thinking and woud love to do the back to back. It would be a blast, but a few things need to fall into place. Those would be: You would have to get me the time off from work with pay, you would have to pay for the second cruise, you would have to pay my bar bill, you would have to pay for the cruise, you would have to get the DW job to give her another week off with pay, you need to pay for the cruise, oh and lastly, you need to pay for the cruise.
