February 28, 2009 Bushwacker Banditos Magical Cruise

Wow... I love active boards... they make the time go SOOO much faster!

On previous cruises the meet and greets were multiple.. there was always an informal one before sail away on the pool deck. We are a part of a crazy cruise group called the Popos and whenever they do theirs they all wear wacky hats and things. Truly fun. I bought a bag of whistles yesterday...so when you run into us... if we have any left just say...CAN I BLOW YOUR WHISTLE? :rotfl2:

We also usually plan a little meet in the most popular bar on the first night around 10:30 as the sail away is C R A Z Y!

Since I'm loaning out my red sequin suit... do you think my Borat one would be ok on a Disney ship?

Your Welcome!!!!!!!

I glad it worked for you:)
For those of you wondering what the heck we are talking about....Wanda had posted over on the main board about car rental discount codes...

We are using Budget Rental and I had found a discount code that saved a few $$$ nothing major, but a little bit $$$ more to add to the 'Ole Bushwaker fund :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Not sure if this helps or not, but we got our car from Hertz and it was $21 per day... pick up at MCO, return at the Port Canaveral office (they have a great shuttle, too).

Well, I'm jumping into this very late, but we will be on this cruise, too! I've read through many pages of this thread and it seems like you all are a very fun group! We just booked the cruise right after Thanksgiving.

There are four of us, DH, DD age 5, DS age 3, and me. This is our seventh Disney cruise and third time on the Magic. My daughter will be celebrating her sixth birthday while we are on board! It should be a great cruise and I can't wait! Looking forward to meeting you all. :goodvibes

glad to have you join the group. And your daughter will be celebrating her 6th birthday lucky little girl. My birthday is 4 days after this cruise ends:goodvibes

WOW!!! That is a GREAT rate...I will have to look into that, we have always rented from Budget ...they are right there IN the airport..no shuttling which is really nice, and since we have used them in the past cruises..we know the routine (as to where they are etc....), :thumbsup2

In addition to our 3:00 Promenade Dis Meet, the bar meet does sound fun, we know that Marla and Alan will already be there :cool1: !!!!! Can't guarantee that we would be there...depends on what the girls are doing, and how tired we are (we are getting old LOL!!!) ...

And as far as your Borat Suit goes..I'm sure it will be an okay substitute to the red sequined speedos...just don't forget to wear your sunscreen LOL!!!!

With you in your suit and Mark in his...we will want to hang out around the pool with the two of you, as we should for sure to be able to get a chair or TWO as everyone will be on the OTHER side of the pool, in
AWE :scared1: of the BREATHE TAKING scenery!!!! :scared1: :scared1: :lmao: :lmao:

Welcome Fairfax Family:welcome: :welcome:

Welcome Fairfax family!!! Looks like my DD might have another girl her age to play with. She is 7 and will be in the Oceaneer Club. What fun to be celebrating a birthday on board.

Dave, I agree with Brenda... you wearing that suit will guarantee plenty of room around the quiet cove pool... :scared:

Tick... tick... tick...

Hear that? That is the sound of the cruise getting closer and closer...

:cool1:  :goodvibes :woohoo: :cloud9:

By the way... would any of the new people to the thread happen to be booked in stateroom 6620? If you are could you please PM me? Thanks.

John

Quiet Cove Pool? What are you talking about? I'll be at the Mickey kiddie pool with the slide! That suit was MADE for the slide! Weeeeeeee:banana:

Well it is more about an hour to my self to just relax before the drinking starts. If I don't get the rest then I will not be drinking at night and that is unacceceptable.

Seems like I can loan you my Borat suit to get you some alone time...:rotfl2:

and I agree... no drinking would be totally unacceptable... !!!:scared1: :scared1:

That was ME who asked about Pirate night!

Would it suprise anyone that we actually have pirate costumes????pirate:

So... I looked at our car rental reservation and it is actually 24€ per day...which is like $500,000 American. :cool1: :woohoo: I think it might be a Lufthansa rate.

:dance3:

If it is $500,000 American, you might what to us my budget coupon LOL!!!!!

Gosh... now I hope I can find the dang thing. The last time I saw it was for that picture on a trip to Derbyshire... I won't wanna disappoint.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! And I'll be keeping an eye out for that Borat suit around the pool so I can cover my kids' eyes . . . :lmao:

They just better not try and take my suit.... I know to look out for the pipsqueaks!!! They're sneaky! Loads of parents use them to do bad things... they send them over... all cute and sweet... and the next thing you know your hubby will be strutting around in my lime greens!

Oh darn, you caught on to my evil plan! ;)

:scared: :scared: Dave - c'mon man. Why did that have to be your first impression to the rest of us?!?!? No matter what now, all we will see when we see you is the Borat (and John Mayer) swimsuit. :lmao:

You know that first impressions are lasting impressions, right??
:rotfl:

Although I do have to say "THANK YOU" for the laughs - it's been a long week in the Story clinic... I mean house. DD has had bronchitis and Mark has pneumonia, so I've been nursemaid for quite some time. So the images, (disturbing as they may be :rotfl:) have given me some well needed distractions.

Welcome Fairfax!!! I will send you a PM with my email so you can give me some info for the list I'm compiling and sharing with each other in advance of the trip. Our DD's are almost the same age - mine will be six at the end of March, so I'm sure they'll be fast friends in the Clubs!!

And Dave - I know I owe you a PM too as well for the list info - I will hopefully get to it tomorrow or Friday.

That's it for me - time to dole out the meds, and get everyone in bed.

Ciao for now!! Johnna
