February 28, 2009 Bushwacker Banditos Magical Cruise

jbuckent-where are you in Minnesota? You must be in the cities somewhere if you know the malls!

Good Morning Cruisers! In one week we'll be heading to the terminal too! :drive:

St Croix... Watch Out! Here we come! We're Georgie and Joe from Yardville NJ. We've only cruised on Disney and Love, Love, Love it. Every cruise has been special. We're looking forward to a lot of Rest and Relaxation!!!

:beach: :hourglass pirate: :hourglass :beach:

Counting down the hours!!!

We live about a mile away from Ridgedale, I am VERY familyre with the malls!
We are 10 minutes from Northtwown (yuch) and only 20 from Rosedale so that's where I usually shop. Someone told my daughter last week we must own part of Rosedale by now! Snow has stopped on this end of the cities, plows have not went thru though, lol!

I must not be very good at my MN geography, I thought Andover was around the Plymouth Maple Grove area. I'm going to have to google it.

Question. What's the best thing to do with the kids on St. Croix? Anyone have any thoughts or insights?

Oh poopy the shuttle launch seems to have been postponed for waaaay longer, oh well, I am just still on denial about this whole trip!
I just checked my clothed and realized... I don't have enough!!!! :scared1:

And no it isn't on the whole girly I have 30 pairs of pants but not in style type of thing :rotfl: I don't take very long breaks, so I have 3 pairs of shorts, and 2 pairs of jeans because we wear business clothes everyday.

I am running out and shopping for pants and capris today. :sad2: Man... I hate shopping :scared: someone take my hand and help me :rotfl:

Hi everyone. This is our 5th cruise on the Magic. We usually bring a case of water and a bottle or two of wine or whatever. Does anyone know if the rule on this has changed? Can you still bring these items in your luggage? I've never had problems in the past - but just wanted to make sure.

Also, to the people who were talking about the fish extenders - yes, we will be bringing our extender too! It's always great fun.

Can't wait to see everyone next Saturday!!!

Gretel were you surprised by the snow? I figured we would be getting just flurries. I was shocked when I let the dog out this morning! Have fun shopping. Where will you be going, Ridgedale, Maple Grove?

I need to find water shoes. Has anyone seen them in stores yet? If so where?

Lands End has them! We were there last week buying swimming suits.

By the way, we're about 2 miles from Ridgedale!!

We decided what the heck, and we are having a fish extender made for our cruise and will be bringing it. We are really trying to make this a very special cruise for our daughters (like the cruise itself isn't?!). They (and we) have suffered a lot of loss in the last couple of years losing my 2 brothers last year and my dad a few months ago - so at 5 and 3 they have lost 2 uncles and a grandfather.

We are just going all out for this cruise and plan to have an absolute blast and really get out of ourselves!

Cheers!

Man, I am so sorry for all of your losses :sad1: you guys really deserve a escape.

Well, good news for me, I managed to find all the clothes I'll ever need. I might have gone a bit overboard, now I have so many capris and shorts it is ridiculous, but they were at half off and I couldn't find a reason why not, I live in FL anyway.

While driving away from the mall I also saw my second billboard work up. I was sooo pumped! I art directed the photoshoot and created the whole look of the campaign at my old job :woohoo: I'll take pics later and share just in case you guys that are driving down catch one on I-4

We had my DDs birthday party today. She will be 5 years old on Tuesday! Here are some pictures from the party. The theme was 'Under the Sea'.

Here are a few of the decorations.

Fish floating around - these became prizes for the kids

The Catch of the Day

As kids arrived they colored fishy suncatchers - major mess!

The food
We served homemade Mac and Cheese using shell pasta, fried shrimp, cold shrimp, fish sticks, hot dogs cut to look like octopus', blue jello with gummy fish, and fish crackers.

Games
Made waves with a blanket and the kids took turns 'diving under the sea' to catch candy, stickers, and tattoos.

Went fishing, this is when they got the fish hanging from the ceiling.

Then we opened presents

Then it was time to sing to the birthday girl and she blew out her candles.

Tomorrow afternoon I can pull out the suitcases!

I love octodogs, I make them with the small hotdogs and put them on our lunch boxes sometimes, they make me smile. Looks like an awesome and fun party, way to go mom! :cool1:

Here are my mini octodogs... you can't see them very well but they are delish and fun!

Thanks I did bake and decorate the cake. A few swear words were involved late last night but it came together all right. It looked much better in my mind before I started.

:rotfl2: believe you me if I was decorating it the same choice words would have been involved, but kudos! Your cake turned out fantastic! I am very impressed :thumbsup2
