February 28, 2009 Bushwacker Banditos Magical Cruise

Hey Everyone! its been a long since i have been on here. and i was just wondering if there were any older aged teens on here? or parents with older aged teens that maybe wanted to talk a little before the cruise to "break the ice".

hey, I'll talk and chat before the cruise I'll be 20 so I'm not really a teen, but I'm not that much of a adult. If you want to chat and talk. I've been talking with this 15 year old, that will be on my cruise next week. So I like meeting and chating with everyone:goodvibes

Hey there fellow cruisemates...thought I would just check in and drag us back up to page one :thumbsup2

It has been hot here in western Nebraska, should be able to start wheat harvest sometime this coming week...

Ron is in Denver today at the Mile-High Nationals (drag race) he loves to go, but usually cannot go because we are normally in the middle of harvest by now, but this year's harvest is late due to weather conditions.

The girls and I are getting ready to tear down wall paper...(dosen't that sound exciting LOL!!!) actually the girls are excited to do it...and have been bugging me for weeks to start, so I guess today is the day, I can't hold them back any longer....

Hope everyone is having a Great summer, seems like it is flying by...the girls were just commenting how their summer vacation is almost over, school will be starting up again before we know it:teacher:

Speaking of school...Emily has benn taking Drivers Ed. the past two weeks...Tuesday she takes her final drive test:scared1: :scared1: LOL!!! She actually is doing pretty well. Last night during her drive time, her instructor toke her out to drive on the on the interstate , she said she drove 75 mph:eek: I CAN"T BELEIVE IT!!!!!! I'm GLAD I didn't know about that until she was done!!!!! I truley will be glad when this class is OVER!!!

Emily will turn 15 in October and then she will be able to get her learners permit...(they only offer the class in our area once a year).

Okay... hope all is well with everyone, and you are having a good weekend...if only it were Friday all over again LOL!!!!

Good thing you clarified that for me. Anytime I read "Mile-High" something entirely different than a drag race comes to mind. :rotfl:

I don't believe it!! Don't tell me she will be too old to hang out with Katie in Feb/March?!? Katie would be so disappointed if Emily became too cool for her. :sad2: Just kidding! I know Emily would probably prefer to hang with Katie than with other 15 yr olds!

Mark (a.k.a. Dad of the Year) took Katie to NYC this weekend to go to the American Girl Place. She's got him wrapped around her little finger - check out the matching outfits he bought them. Plus, he then took her to the Kit Kittredge movie. I think Mark is more into American Girl than Katie is! :goodvibes

Have a great Monday everyone!

Oh soooo cute Lady Story...... Tell Mark my DD is waiting for her trip too with him.:lmao: Thanks for the post on the thread. I get so many PM request, I want to do guidelines on one thread so hopefully the request will not be so over loading. I hope I am not getting myself into trouble. I think I will post I will not take any request after Christmas, because then I will be stressed out for our cruise.

I got a letter from DCL today. You know the one reminding me how much money I still owe them.:lmao: It was good though to remind me that I had not yet corrected my address with them. The letter went to the old address and then FWDed here. So, I guess I need to change that. We have to call anyway; we booked a cat. 8 this cruise with the hopes we are upgraded to our usual 6, but we should book the 6 just in case, since this is a "Special Port of call" I was thinking..... :confused3 What do you guys think??? We do want the verandah. I do think they will be very nice to me after what happened last cruise with DD.

BJ, I can not believe she is driving. Did she get a chance to use the one stop light in town.....:rotfl2: No, serious that is wonderful, she can be your gopher once she gets going and take her little sister everywhere.

Great to hear Ron is getting a chance to do a little R&R, his style.... Congrats on the help with the wallpaper and I am still waiting for pictures of "the kitchen". Tell "Emmi" that now she can help drive the ship just in case Capt. Tom has too many Bushwackers.:lmao:

Quick question...

How do I go about adding a countdown graphic to my signature?

There are a lot of sites that do it - I think the two most popular are ucruiser.com, and **************; there's also tickerfactory.com, but their graphics aren't as good.

Good luck - can't wait to see what you choose. :surfweb:

OK, so Johnna says that Katie has me "wrapped around her little finger," but I am not sure that that is the case. We had a great weekend in NYC, went to the American Girl store, bought matching outfits (HER and the doll, not me, Brenda), had brunch in Chelsea, went to Central park, the Central Park Zoo and then off to a pub that is owned by my co-worker's brother-in-law (the Guinness were free). And that was just Saturday.

Sunday morning was the Kitt Kittridge movie, which contains som very, very good messages for young girls about being strong, independent, making good decisions and solving problems.

Then home.

Busy weekend, but we had a blast.

MDOTY*

Mark, Dad of the Year

Mark either doesn't hate the Yankees as much as he says, or he just loves me more than he hates them. Because he scored me Yankee Tickets for Wednesday's game at the soon-to-be-old Yankee Stadium!!:cool1: :cool1: I've been B%*ching about it for a couple weeks now that I'll never get to go again, and having gone so much as a child, it means a lot. So my Dear Husband (also known as MDOTY) is making it possible for me fulfill that wish. So I guess we should also call him MHOTY. :rotfl:

So I get to go say goodbye to the House that Ruth built in person. And I'm so happy. So my cousin Tina (a bigger Yankee fan than me), my sister, and my cousin Ellen are making the trip to the Bronx on Wednesday. I can't wait!!

Thanks honey. I love you very much.
Go Yankees!!!

Hey there Mark...You're making Ron look bad :upsidedow

First Little Miss Katie and now Johnna...sounds like you are quite the Ladies Man :cool2: All I have gotten from Ron lately is a grunt or two and a "Is my lunch ready yet" Maybe you can give him some pointers :teacher:
LOL!!!! Just kidding :lmao: :lmao:

Johnna as far as Emily being to old too hang out with Miss Katie...Not a chance!!!!! Katie is a celebrity in our house :cutie: both Kaylee and Emily fell in Love :lovestruc with her and CANNOT wait to see her again!!!!!

Mile-High....and you were thinking ..what????? do tell LOL!!!!!!

Ms Tinker Bushwackers with the Capt???? sounds good to me....
Emily at the helm of the ship???:scared1: :scared1: she has trouble parking the car in a parking lot with no other cars around...I don't think she'd stand a chance @ Cast a Way Cay...and you know that we DON"T want to miss out on that AGAIN!!!!:sad2: :sad2:
SO NO Buschwackers for Capt' Tom on Friday!!!!!

DMMArla are you back form your trip yet???? Sure that you had a GREAT Time!!! We are ALL jealous!!! you will have to tell us all about it

Donna Sounds like you and I would get along GREAT!!! shop shop shop!!!!!!

Hi All!:wave2:

My name is Vanessa and I'm new to this message board. I booked my first Disney Cruise for my family and I on February 28th and I'm so excited about it, I could hardly stand it!!:woohoo:

This is going to be a special cruise for us because on March 1st my daughter will be turning 11 years old! I tried to keep it a secret so I could surprise her but she busted me on the computer booking the trip! I tried to play it off :rolleyes1 but, i got caught! She's extremely excited about the trip!

I'm so happy I found this thread! I've been to a few message boards and I couldn't find anyone who was going to be on the Magic at the same time as us, but now I found some!! YAY!! :yay:

Looking forward to getting to know you guys! :sail:

Go Yankees!!!

Well, I supposed that after 10 years of marriage, love must be blind, because when I pick up the envelope with the <shudder> Yankees tickets in it, as a Red Sox fan, I may just go blind.

So Katie gets and American Girl trip to NYC...

Johnna gets Yankees tickets for the final year in the Stadium..

And Mark gets (hint: "eternal gratitude" is not the key phrase here):teacher:

Vanessa - I remember being a first time cruiser and new to the boards. Welcome!!!!! :yay:

And I must say - I LOVE your avatar. I married a Red Sox fan, and so we have some interesting conversations in our house - especially in September and October!

I'm headed to the NY Yankee Game on Wednesday (see above posts) thanks to my husband. I can't wait. :cheer2:

Looking forward to getting to know you better! Johnna:banana:

Hello again!!!

Thank you guys for the warm welcome!!
I was reading more of the posts on this one and I saw that I'm not the only Yankee fan!! WOOOOOOOO!!!! :woohoo:

Ha ha!! I've pretty much been a life long Yankee fan because of my dad! He was born and raised in New York and I'm pretty much always over there myself. I have family in Queens! I've never been able to go to a game at Yankee Stadium though... :sad2:
But last season I was able to score some tickets to see the Yanks play the Anaheim Angels. I live 20 minutes from that stadium and DISNEYLAND! hee hee..
I took my dad, my sis and my hubby to that game. My husband is an Angels fan and the rest of us are Yankee fans and we were in our Yankee hats and jerseys! There were TONS of Yankee fans at that game! One time I walked up the aisle to go to the restroom and I was high 5-ing all the Yankee fans all the way up the aisle! It was awesome!
We were hoping to win that game cause the day before we had gotten our, you know what's, handed to us by the Angels! BUT WE WON!! I was happy and so was my dad and sis! We talked crap to my hubby all the way home!
It was a good day!

so just got back from my cruise last night at 3:00am and I slept till like 11:00 longer then I normally sleep so I'm well rested kinda :rotfl2:. Now I can start getting to know you people more

Just an FYI from a Southwest emp (Me). This is true. I just check on our emp web site.

Welcome aboard, Vanessa!

So DMMarla, tell us about your cruise. Give us details, details, details!!!!!!

Thanks for the heads up about Southwest, Alan! We love flying Southwest and we are lucky in that we can choose to depart from either St. Louis or Kansas City.
