February 28, 2009 Bushwacker Banditos Magical Cruise

Oh My!
What makes me laugh is that my DH was the first to say "Wow, that man really looks good in a uniform" :lmao:

Mine, too.

The fight in Animator's was surreal and I am still kicking myself for being so caught up in it that I didn't pick up my camera and film it!!!! (especially as said camera was ON the table and already set to video!)

The long story has now been told enough that it no longer sounds funny. The final performance was at Palo brunch with Johnna, Donna, etc.

The short story is that some biotch who had chemically and surgically altered herself so much that it obviously had affected her brain had been really rude and nasty to this one family all week... starting with an altercation over a deck chair. I saw her leave the dining room at one point on the last night and when she came back she was saying something to her table about "not apologizing blah blah blah". The next thing we knew some man had come barging into Animator's and to the back of the restaurant where we were all sitting (we were next to ****erella and Sugar Daddy as they came to be known). Suddenly the men were on their feet, shoving and pushing ensued, ****erella jumped up and tried to insert herself into things while others were trying to seperate the men. Kids were screaming, I was yelling STOP THAT and the next thing we knew ****erella threw the first punch... then the men were punching, falling on tables... the works. Quite an end to a perfect week at sea.

All three were detained by the sheriff the next morning as they tried to leave.

So sorry you guys had to go through that especially on the last night of the cruise (but it could have been on the first night...:rotfl2: ).

I think it's so hard to picture things like that happening, because we cherish the Magical side of Disney...on all fronts. It seems, between both of your back to back cruises, like you really got to experience the Disney Magic in Reality. I'm so glad with your sense of humor and level-head you've kept the Magic and not let the incidents spoil your trips. :thumbsup2

I'm glad we got to meet at the sail-away. I love the picture in your sig!!! :goodvibes

Wow! Now that's what I call drama.

Some people just don't know how to behave.

We were lucky, we either moved around enough that we kept away from any mayor meltdowns of the adult and kid kind or we were totally blinded by Disney magic.

The one thing I wish I hadn't done... play bingo and spend $160 on it! :scared1:
What possessed us to do it? Well, I dunno. We are normally very cheap and don't gamble, plus I am pretty sure we were quite sober. I blame the motion of the ship altering my senses :rotfl:

They sing "Remember the Magic" at the sail away show. Just in case you forget you get reminded when your credit card bill comes. hahahaha

And really... we had such a great time, it was one of the absolute best cruise experiences we ever had.

We had so much fun that now we are looking to take another in May from Singapore. Sadly, not Disney though.

Oh yeah, that bill at the end of the cruise was a shocker for me :scared1:
"I spent how MUCH?!?!" :rotfl:
Thank goodness we had around $400 in OBCs and my DH had actually estimated a bigger hit so he wasn't surprised at all. He is a walking calculator that man.

I am looking forward to our next cruise already, but I don't think we'll be seeing the Magic again in many a year. I do want to try out the Dream or Fantasy when they come out though, that'd be so neat, going on their maiden voyage.

Every since we came back I have been really tempted to just drop everything and start over at St Croix, we would have an already built in family network :lmao:

I think I caught the island fever.

Well I got my responce to the letter I sent off. I got the caned reply I expected, assuring me that my complaint about lack of age enforcement will be shared with the appropreate managers. We shal see in Oct. if anything improves.

Okay Gang! where are you all?? It seems like forever already since we left the ship!! My tan is fading!!! AACCK!!
All is well here, winter decided to show us her face again in the last day or so and we have another 8 inches of snow. Just when the front lawn was bare of snow! Ah such is the life in the Rockies... it is close to or just above zero so it is going fast.
We probably will not do the bounceback, that airfare to get back down there as well as time off are factors in our decision. I would LOVE to do it! We are campers in the summertime so we will be enjoying that this summer.

Hope all is well with you all!

Wanda

Hi Marla

Great Video memories. I miss it so much, but can't wait to bounce back in October for a 3 day plus a few days at WDW

Hey gang!! We are going on another cruise this year!! :cool1::cool1:

When we joined DVC on our cruise, we received a voucher for a free 7-night cruise in a Cat 9. The voucher arrived yesterday, but there were lots of blackout dates, and our original plan of next March was not to be.

However, one of the available dates was the November 14th cruise, which was perfect because Joanne will celebrate her birthday onboard. But the best thing about that cruise is the itinerary -- it is a Western (yay - new ports of call) with TWO STOPS AT CASTAWAY CAY!!!!

And for a nominal fee, we were able to upgrade to a Cat 6. :woohoo:

So we will fly down on November 11th (our Remembrance Day) and spend 3 nights at Bay Lake Tower (our DVC home) before the cruise.

Now all we need is a good seat sale from Edmonton or Calgary...

John, Are you aware that we are booked for that same cruise and have been since March 2008. We booked it last year on the ship. We are planning to cruise again with BJ & The Storys so we have to decide what we are going to do. If you look at the begining of that cruise thread I am there. I pop in every so often but I am not really involved because we have been in limbo of what we were going to do. When I booked it last year, it was because we had missed Castaway & DH was upset and only agreed to go if it was the DD. You were lucky to get that cruise at the last minute because it was booked for quite some time. Some must be dropping as time goes on.:confused3

That's wonderful, John! Sounds like a wonderful birthday present for Joanne! Have fun!

Yes as Donna said that will be a wonderful and memorable birthday for Joanne. I am envious!
Wish it was us heading south again, but we will have to wait until 2011. That is what we are telling ourselves anyways.
Remember there are direct flights on Westjet from Calgary and there is free parking at the Charbonneau's!!
