February 28, 2009 Bushwacker Banditos Magical Cruise

Congrats - we loved this cruise and will definately be coming back in the fall. The only thing we missed was Mickey going down the zip line - I heard he was a new one and maybe a bit nervous! See y'all next time!

I was standing almost right under him, and I asked a tech that was right there to cue the fireworks and he said that something git stuck in the safety mecanisim that they use.

Hey guys!
The land is still rocking for me :rotfl2:

Made it back home yesterday, and the laundry is half done already :laundy:
We had a wonderful wonderful time, we didn't stop a second though, from 6 in the morning until 12 at night every single day, it was all go go go!

DH is super hyper, so that explains it, but we enjoyed so many things! We even went to the rainforest room a couple of times and managed to make it to the hot tub and pools at the adult area.

Our serving team was incredible, Deneval, Non and Jeff really took good care of us! I had the best birthday and anniversary ever.

Will post more later, gotta run to the office!

All it has finaly come. The day we go home :(. Sitting here on the Magical Express going to the airport. Again I am so sorry I never met you guys.

I know we never met, but I totally think I know who you are could be totally wrong and it wasn't you, but one day on the ship were you wearing a Lakers shirt. I saw someone wearing a Lakers shirt and thought it could be you.

That was most likely me. I think I was the only one with a Lakers shirt.

WOW!!!!!
What a Great week!

It was great to meet so many of you, and to those of you we did meet.... thanks for making a GREAT week even BETTER, it was fun to just be walking around and see so many friendly faces that we recognized.

ChocoKat I'm sorry to say that I don't think we ever did get a chance to meet:sad2:

Marla, you were one that I seen quite a bit!!!! In fact we saw you and your Dad looking over the balcony in the atrium when we first boarded, we waved.
At that point you were probably wondering who the heck are those people LOL!!!!
And then of course we saw you in the Rocking Bar D several times.

Dave...just as I figured you were a riot!!!!! You and Michael are AWESOME!!!! and we really enjoyed meeting and hanging out with both of you...

Donna....we really enjoyed hanging out with you and Russ at Rocking Bar D, and various other places on board. Hope you enjoyed your time at the Animal Kingdom Lodge after the cruise.

Rookie Mouse....We saw quite a bit of you as well!!!! Glad that it was such a great week for you and your family :grouphug:

Wanda...you 3 had quite a magical pixiedust: week!!!!!
Thanks for sharing Laurens special cake with us at dinner:flower3:

Vanessa, we didn't get to see a whole lot of you, but am glad that we got to meet you and Ardie (the one man party LOL!!!).... sorry to hear you weren't feeling well the first few days..

Bonzie...that was us that you talked to on the last night, and no we did not take the DVC plunge, we needed more time to think about it.

And to the Story's.....you made our week AMAZING!!!!! we so enjoyed having dinner with you every night as well as hanging out with you during the days, and at the nightly shows....
The Mickey 200 :moped: was F-U-N...Bring it On :cool2: LOL!!!!!

Forget the Western or Eastern itinerary our next cruise will be the DCL Story itinerary LOL!!!!!

So what was the highlight of every ones week????
It seriously would be hard for us to pick out any one thing as the whole week was ALL a highlight...we loved the shows, we would hurry up dinner to make it to the 7:30 shows followed by the 8:30 show and then made it to the adult shows at 10:30... we thought Alfred and Seymore was hilarious:lmao: :lmao:
We NEVER made it to bed before 1:00a.m except for the last night...:scared1:

We had Toney and Gede for our servers, and really enjoyed them, we found out that Dave and Michael had them the week before :)

So like I said it was a GREAT week...and we meet some really GREAT people both Crew Members as well as passengers....

Sorry that we really didn't get to meet everyone that was on our boards.... but we do hope your week was just as amazing as ours :thumbsup2

My dad actually saw you wave. I on the other hand was half asleep from staying up the night before lol and took me a couple minutes to figure out people were waving:lmao:

Hi everyone! It's Monday night and we are almost home. Thought I would post now as I know the next few days will be extremely busy.

We had an amazing time on the cruise which was largely due to having met so many of you over and over all week long. I'm sorry we didn't get to meet everyone.

Vanessa--I'm so glad the sea bands helped especially since the ship really got rocking on Thursday. You guys make such a great looking family. Will be looking forward to seeing pictures of your new baby....

Ron, Brenda, Mark, Johnna, Dave, Michael--We really enjoyed spending time with all of you in the clubs in the evenings.

Wanda and Al--Although we didn't get to see much of you, we want to thank you for sharing your story of Lauren's ordeal. And we are so happy that she is doing well and you had this chance to create some wonderful memories.

John and Joanne--We hope you enjoy your DVC membership as much as we have!

Jennifer--we enjoyed spending time with you and your lovely family on St. Croix.

We enjoyed our days after the cruise at AKV. It is a very beautiful resort and it was nice to relax after the cruise where we went nonstop from morning tip night before going home to all the work waiting for us.

We are hoping to book our $99 cruise for December so we can see all the Christmas decorations on the Wonder.

TTYL!

We've just returned to Hilton Head after this amazing cruise. Wasn't it awesome?? We booked the July 18 2010 Northern Capitals cruise while onboard.

How funny are Alfred and Seymour? We just loved their shows. (My husband was the one who got picked on about having a book during the show).

It was a PERFECT week. The food, the Cast Members, the ship, the ports, and the passengers... it was all perfect and the reason we come back every year.

Hey Everyone!

What a friggin AWESOME trip! I know we said this to some of you already, but out of my 69 cruises this was the absolute very best! Michael agrees, too! From the service to the entertainment to the overall experience it was aptly named... M A G I C!

To those we met... we are really happy to add you to our list of cruise friends. To those we didn't, poor you. Ha ha! :happytv:

We got back to Germany yesterday and I am still jet lagged, but working. Kind of hard, though! Now I have to jump boards and recruit some people to help me harass Roberto up in Palo. He doesn't believe I will do it, silly him.

I just added my pics to Facebook and they ROCK!

Have a nice day!

I have to tell everyone, I think I enjoyed this cruise more the the western the week before. This cruise just seemed to have more outgoing people, while the western was kind of blah people who didn't really seem into things:lmao:

Blech I am home sick today, guess I played too much on the windy decks last week and now I have a nice chest cold.:scared::sick:
At least I didn't get sick while on vacation.

This really was a dream come true, I was so worried it would never happen I was on pins and needles until we got through the gangway and then it was REAL! The crew was fantastic, the food was great, our servers were amazing and made DH and I feel like family. We had good table mates, we nearly closed the dining room every night.

St Croix was wonderful, my father in law showed us all around from the rain forest to the beaches and back and I really fell in love with the island, it is really the true Caribbean, DH took me to visit his old home, his old elementary school and we passed by to pay respects to my mother-in-law.

The people were so very friendly and warm, I'll post links to the photo albums in a bit, we took well over 1,000 photos :scared1:

St Thomas was fun as well, my father in law took a charter and met us there after we had taken the historical walking tour and showed us around and took us to have lunch. He was a welder and pipe fitter and actually worked on the construction of the marina where the Magic was in port.

The days at sea were wonderful, so much to do! We took the galley tour, the design tour where we met Dave and Micha, they are a riot! BTW Dave, one of the couples at our table met you as well and they were telling us how they met this German couple that were incredible friendly and funny, I knew right then it was you, and I was right! :rotfl:

I weighed myself today thinking the worst, and what do you know... I only actually gained 0.5 lbs!!! We walked the jogging track at such a speed so many times, plus we always used the stairs, and on Cast Away Cay day we snorkeled at the snorkeling lagoon and the adult beach going aaaall the way back and forth twice, plus biking the whole trail and walking all over the island. We participated on the crab races and DH got lost for a bit.

He met up with Jeff while he was lost and that night Jeff, Deneval and Non were pulling his leg at dinner about it, it was a crack up.

We will be taking a cruise on the $99 dollar deal later this year and see how we like the 3 day cruise compared to the 7. 7 days might be a bit too long for our hyper brains, we love to move around!

Now it is time for me to plan on my next trip to WDW for the Expedition Everest 5K. I love that race!

I am sorry I didn't get to meet most of you guys, I told you I am painfully shy! Plus I was sooo pumped up the whole trip!

The entertainers were awesome, DH and I were sitting at the back of diversions playing chess the last night waiting for Pub Night to start when Root and Berry came and sat next to us and started to make commentary for our game :rotfl: they are very nice guys, Seymore joined them later and it was a riot to hear them interact. I blame them for us missing the deadline to put our suitcases out, we managed to drag them by ourselves out of the ship though, so it was all good.

Just one question though... when do sealegs go away? I am still moving! Or maybe it is the cold medicine? :rotfl:

So sorry you are sick! Get better quickly!

Sea Legs? DH has his for quite a few days after the cruise.

Question for you. Expedition Everest 5K? I thought it was much longer than that???

Donna I had to laugh when looking at the pictures Ally took. There are A LOT of your feet and legs. It's interesting to see things at a 5 year old level. LOL

Our trip had a very rocky start. After the second sea day I was almost in tears. Ally was being a major pain in the ***! She would have been very happy if we just stayed in our cabin the entire time! Hated the kids club. We were very close to canceling our Palo reservations. When we got to St Croix she started screaming about not wanting to be there. We think someone must have said something that scared her. Our second stop in St Croix she lightened up and we were able to enjoy the rest of the trip. We were still very concerned about Palo but a little bribery got her to stay both times. I wasn't able to enjoy our dinner much as I kept waiting for the page. The next morning we had a very wonderful brunch. It was the highlight of our trip.

Mavens bay was so nice. The girls were over the moon to be playing in the water. Ryan participated in the 5k at Castaway Cay which was kind of funny with so few people. Wish I could have joined him but we didn't want to deal with the kids club again. I loved running on deck 4. The wind would push you so fast and then I was rested enough to to plow through the wind in the oposite direction. LOL fastest miles I've ever run.

This is the first cruise I gained weight on. My pants got tighter and tighter as the week went on. I didn't want to weigh myself upon returning but just had to and it wasn't as bad as I thought, 5 lbs.

We are still debating on the $99 cruise. I think it will run us $1,500 for just the two of us and not sure if I want to spend that for 3 days. Still have a month to think about it.

So sorry you are sick! Get better quickly!

Sea Legs? DH has his for quite a few days after the cruise.

Question for you. Expedition Everest 5K? I thought it was much longer than that???

Yeah it is a 5K, but it includes an obstacle course with Marine hurdles, nets and pretty high balance beams, plus a scavenger hunt that runs along the 5K track, so it ends up being quite much longer than just 5K. Also to win you must be fast PLUS solve all the clues of the scavenger hunt. DH and I did it last year as my very first 5K and we had a blast! I have been waiting for the registration to open up ever since we crossed the finish line :rotfl:

You can do it as a team or solo, we loved doing it as a team, it was a riot and the finisher's medal was awesome!

Hi everyone!!

I have to say I enjoyed this cruise sooo much!!
And I was soo happy to meet all of you!

I went back to work yesterday and as soon as I sat down I wanted to get right back up, jump on a plane and head directly back to the Caribbean.
Nothing but problems here at work and I guess since I was the one that was gone the whole week, I'm the easiest target to blame crap on! Yay me...

Then my sister was downloading music on my computer (along with a fabulous new virus) and when I got home and got on it, IT CRASHED!!! I can't upload any of my pictures!

I want to go back to Orlando and get back on the Magic.
It's my new heaven on earth!:cloud9:

Hello Gang!
It was so wonderful meeting all of you!
We are home and it is -12 Fahrenheit -22 Celcius...Brrr... kinda hard to take after the wonderful weather we had all last week and the weekend.
We rebooked on board for a 4 day, hoping to do the Dream or Fantasy... in early March 2011.
We listened to the DVC presentation, and although we really thought it was a great opportunity, we just don't have the funds right now to dedicate to it. Maybe in the future.. or like Donna mentioned to look on the boards here for a possible great "rebuy". Congratulations John and Joanne for becoming members though!! The offer of Free Parking at our house is open-ended!!
I am wading thru 7 loads of Laundry... will come back and post some pix... I just might have to join facebook so that I can see all your pix!!
Johnna, Mark, Brenda and Ron...thanks for sharing our Magical Cake with us in the dining room and the other wonderful memories around the ship too!
Ness, your daughter is such a little beauty!! Wishing you all the best in the next few months until the new baby comes ! We will be watching our emails for a picture or two!
Dave and Michael, it was great to meet you!! You are a storyteller at heart Dave, loved the "B***erella saga"... Thank goodness nothing that eventful happened for your second week!

Take care all we plan to keep in touch!:grouphug:

Hi Everyone... well my body clock is totally screwed up. It is 2 am and I can't sleep. It wants me to go down to dinner and refuses to accept that we are not at sea.

As for Facebook.. I'm there under Dave Natale, Braunfels Germany. If you want to see pics you have to go there. Wanda, I have some nice ones of Lauren if you want me to email them.

We had such a nice time, but I am also happy to be home with my fur babies. They really missed us and haven't left our sides since we got back.

Came back to really bad financial news with many of my companies. It is getting worse and worse out there. Good thing I have a sugar daddy.

Thought you might get a kick out of this.... I just posted this on the boards if the next 2 cruises...

Hi Everyone! We just got back from a back to back on the Disney Magic and it was the MOST incredible cruise we have ever taken... and with 69 under our belts that is saying something.

I envy you all getting ready to go on and wonder if some of you can help me out with some fun.

We had a great time with our Head Server who is also a Server in Palo... his name is Roberto. We joked and teased the entire 2 weeks and it was truly said when we left. I told him that we would haunt him from beyond and that is where you all come in.

If any of you have Palo reservations PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE say Hi to PJ from Dave and Michael... but go up to Roberto and tell him that Dave and Michael from the Disney Boards told you to find him and ask him for a special free Roberto cocktail. Then ask him if he has his GPS positioning yet. (He kept joking that he was going to tag me with it so he would know when we were coming so he could hide.)

I am going to ask people to do this every week for as long as I can keep it going.

I know he will laugh, but it will also let him know that we truly enjoyed his service and friendship while on board. You should request him as a server if you don't already have a favorite.

Thanks alot!

Dave:banana:

We had Roberto as our server for brunch. I had no idea the Palo servers are also in the dining rooms. I suppose they can only do brunch. Roberto really was fun!
