February 27th 2011 Mexican Riviera aboard the Wonder

We got our docs too and are getting very excited. I had Krissy (7) convinced that the luggage tags were the actual cruise tickets.

Is anyone planning on keeping the cruise a surprise for their kids?...I am hoping we can keep it a secret until we drive up to the port.

Thanks for the tip IndianaPrincess. I will do that!

So another question...if we are arriving to the port by car do we still need to put the luggage tags on our bags? I can't remember the last time we did a MR cruise if we did or not.....

So where can we find the navigator's from the recent MR cruise?

Thanks!!

You need to have tags on your bags because they go straight to your room. On our last cruise one of our tags came off and it took us a day to get the bag back as it couldn't be found, it had all my DS's clothes in it, he was less than pleased!!

We got our docs last week as well, they came Fedex to the UK. Really excited now it is getting closer :woohoo::woohoo:

Last weekend we went to Disney Land Paris, so it has got us all very excited and in the disney spirit :yay::yay:

Just wanted to let you kids all know that on-line check in has changed. They want more info now and even give you an area to chose your port arrival time! I'm guessing it's due to all of the confusion that seemed to occur on the 1st 7 day MR cruise?:confused3

Anyway, just go to your reservation and edit/complete on-line check in...you will see the changes.

Thanks for the tip Twinkledust! :thumbsup2 I wish there was a little more communication with DCL about these changes... I would've thought we completed our paperwork and you would never know it wasn't complete until you click the Edit/Change.

Can't wait!!! :yay:

Yes, we are...we aren't telling them until we pull up to the port as well. We have done a surprise Disney cruise once before for them and it was priceless...we even got it on video.

I just went back into the online checkin and redid a bunch of stuff I already did! I find it very odd about the arrival time. What time is everybody putting? The earliest I could put down was 10:30 - 11:00. Was there any earlier time? I'll be there earlier, so hope they don't have a problem with that!

I am starting a second Fish Extender Exchange list for those that missed the cutoff for the first list. It may be a smaller group, but still just as much fun.

Here is what I need:

Your username, cabin number, your names and kids' names and ages.

Starting to finalize our door decor to print out for the cruise. I didn't think twice about having some pics and/or names of our family. Other people in a few threads seemed concerned about this. Am I just too trusting? Anyone have any issues with putting their names/pics out there? My kids are fully aware of appropriate behavior with and of strangers and they are somewhat older at 11 and 9. It's a shame that nowadays this is something to think about.

Your thoughts would be appreciated!

You're fine. Don't worry about it. Seriously. :hippie:

Trust the good people of our cruise.

Maybe I live on a different planet, but I have no problem with this.

See you soon!

We have our kids names on the magnets and didn't find it a problem last time so we will be taking the same ones again. We've also got a white board so that we can communicate with our eldest as it's the only way we can speak to him as we hardly ever see him!!

Thanks for the heads-up about the changes, Twinkledust! :) I, too, thought I was completely done with the check-in process. I picked the 10:30am - 11am arrival time... I want to get there ASAP!!! This vacation will mark my first day off from work since August 6th , and I am ready for it to start right NOW! :cool1:

I don't have a problem putting names on the door magnets, either. We made our magnets with each of our names on them. pirate:

Disney lover! You'll be able to use the wave phones on board to communicate with your eldest!:yay:

Where can I find the Navigators from the recent MR cruise? I heard they were posted somewhere but haven't been able to find them.

Thanks!

Wave Phones :confused3

I quite like only seeing his writing on the whiteboard and seeing him at breakfast and dinner, it makes for a peaceful holiday, lol!!

We'll have magnets with our names on them as well. My kids know stranger danger rules and just because someone knows your name, it doesn't mean that you can trust them. We even have a code phrase that they have to be given to go somewhere with a family member or family friend. Plus they are at the age where they will either by in the club or with us all the time.

I'm a bit confused on why we had to do the online check in 2 times???

What is the ideal time to get to port? I was thinking 11am because I heard they don't board until 12:30ish.
