February 27th 2011 Mexican Riviera aboard the Wonder

Hey all! We are SO ready for the cruise. Winter hit here (with no signs of letting up- they are predicting the worst winter in 20 years!) - we can't wait until the sun!

we were -25 outside today and have had about 1 1/2 ft of snow in the last few days,
I need hot sun and cold beer

Wow it looks lovely and snowy where you are.
Here in rainy England it's raining!! Although we have got snow forecast for the weekend but I bet we don't get more than a dusting because it is rare that we get much

Only just over 3 months now till we go, can't wait :woohoo::woohoo:

Since we all had to pay off the cruise, did anyone see if there were a bunch of rooms become available?

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Just booked Palo for Brunch and High Tea :yay::yay:

We can book everything from today, so get booking. Palo is really popular so get booking if you want to do it. We did brunch last time and wow it's amazing food, definitely worth it :)

We are paid off and booked for Palo brunch & dinner:banana: I was going to wait until I woke up to book Palo, but happened to wake up at 1:00 am last night, so I got up to book it...this is when I wish I was on the west coast so I wouldn't have to wait until midnight to book things! We got brunch for Monday at 10:30 and dinner Friday at 7:00.

Our kids still have no idea we are going on this cruise and that our friends are joining us! We still have not decided when to tell them. We may just say we are going out to California for our Feb. break to see our friends and family (which we do often, so it wouldn't seem out of the norm).

Has anyone booked any excursions yet? We don't know what we want to do, but will probably just do it on our own. Anybody else have their things booked?

hi all!
this will be our second cruise,
me, hubby, son (7), daughter (5)
and my brother's first cruise!

has now turned into a major vacation! we will be staying in santa monica for a few days to visit my other brother (lives in az but my sis-in-law works in santa monica) and his family, then disneyland, then the cruise!

I am Mary 47, husband Dave 51, looking to connect with another adventurous middle aged couple to maybe meet up with. We get up early, will want to go to the gym a few days, but will be active all day, but probably go to bed by midnight. I am very out going, my husband not so much, but a good guy, he goes along with my rolls(Most of the time:rolleyes1). If this sound like you, then please contact us.:yay: (We need 10 posts of interest B4 I can post our e mail address)
Also wanting to sign up for FE for this cruise, how do we sign up and what is an estimated amount of people who sign up? Do you get something for all people on FE pocket or just 1 per FE? I am crafty and will need to make thing, gotta get going...87 more days...
Has anyone done some of the shore trips, is there anywhere with ratings for trips?
Are there on ship tours, behind the scenes?
I know lots of questions,
Mary and Dave

So jealous of those of you who have been able to book Palo! My window doesn't open up until Dec 14th, at the 75 day mark. I am reallyREALLYreallyREALLYreally hoping for Palo on March 3rd, my birthday, but am afraid that it will be all booked up by then! :sad2: Keep your fingers crossed for me...

87 DAYS!!! YIPEEEE!!!!!! :dance3:

Just to set your mind at ease, a little at least.... our first cruise when it came to the 75 day mark and we could book Palo every day was available for dinner, not always the best times but available.

And, if there is nothing availablle, just make sure you get to the ship early and head straight to the place where they are taking reservations...they hold some slots open just for that. Make sure you try to get brunch...that is my favorite meal they have!

I'm going to throw my computer ...

I'm tech savvy, my DH is a systems admin ... WE UNDERSTAND COMPUTERS.

Every time I try to book Palo (or excursions) we get Error Code 500. This is within Mozilla Firefox. IE gives a different error.

I've spoken to tech support, sadly, they can not help. I will call again and ask for a sup next time as I feel this is some sort of bug and need to file a ticket.

Can ANYONE tell me if they are experiencing this same problem?

I've tried from three separate computers.

Thanks in advance,
Meredith in Utah

We made our Palo reservations! We tried the dinner on our 4-day Wonder cruise last year and loved it, so we are doing dinner and brunch this time.

We have not booked any excursions yet. I think we are just going to do our usual, Medano Beach in Cabo, Krystal in Puerto Vallarta, enjoy the ship in Mazatlan.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

My advice to anyone not able to book Palo in advance is to get to the Cruise Terminal early. We managed to book it last year and were in group number 2 at the terminal. So get there early is my advice. Also if you want to do tea with Alice, that is booked onboard and it is first come first served, so make sure you arrive early :thumbsup2

Do you know where they book the Tea with Alice? I want to go straight there to get a reservation when I board.

Thank you

I believe it is at guest services as that is where we got our gingerbread house tickets when we were on the Christmas cruise. However, as I have two boys who would do anything not to be seen having tea with Alice, I am not 100% sure it is guest services! I'm sure someone who has girls can verify this for you.:goodvibes

On our last cruise we booked Tea with Alice in the bar near Guest Services, sorry can't remember what it was called. We also booked Palo there as well. If you ask a member of staff when you first get on the boat they will point you in the right direction.

I would definitely recommend Tea with Alice if you've got a little girl. My daughter loved it and has asked to do it again, so we will be heading straight to book it when we board.

Anyone else going crazy not being able to book anything till the 75 day mark? We are paid in full, but my BF isn't a castaway club member so his booking window isn't open yet for anything but Palo (which we aren't sure about still).

It's so frustrating to pull up excursions and not be able to book one in our party! I guess I could book the kids and I for things, but what a pain if those sell out, and then I have to cancel and rebook a dif time. Easier to do it all at once:)

We are going to figure everything out this weekend though so come Monday at 9 (west coasters) we can just hopefully go in and book excursions and spa.

It's getting so close! We leave a few days before the cruise to do American Girl place in LA for my daughter and DL as well.

Excited!
