Does this mean you live in St Augustine? I toured it once. The Fort there reminded me of the prison I worked at then.

We do live in the Nation's Oldest City, St. Augustine. We love the City and I volunteer for the NPS at the Castillo de San Marcos when I can. The Fort is rich in history and a lot of fun to tour and experience the cannon firings.

We too are traveling with a 5 month old! But a girl. Little nervous about taking her but the grandparents will be coming to so I hope it will be OK! When is your sons birthday? Happy Sailing

We will not have the grandparents along and it would have been nice to have someone who could watch him if we wanted to go to the adult areas or stay at dinner longer, etc. Oh well, we will learn a lot of lessons this trip I'm sure.

You can make arrangements on the ship. There is a place especially for that & they are quite reliable.

Is everyone aware that the on-line checkin has been re-done?

There is now a more in depth registration plus you choose your port arrival time now and you accept responsibility for the Wave phones. Just a heads up if you have already completed your check-in that you may want to go back and "Edit" it so the new form comes up. May save some delays at the port.

Ohhhhh good idea!!!! tell me where to find such paper! I will join you in being tacky as someone on that thread said they were glad they were not magnetic for that reason! I love to decorate our door!

Because of a conflict with Chinese New Year and the production of the wristbands I went ahead and ordered the bands with a generic saying on them. This will be my gift to the board since I did not have time to get any input from those who were willing to help pay BUT if anyone wants to contribute to the cost I will be more than happy to accept

The wristbands are Lime Green and say: Cruising with DIS friends

I had it generic because there was a chance that the order would not get here in time - it went from a Feb. 10 delivery to Feb. 25 OVERNIGHT!!!! I called to find out that for Chinese New Year the factory shuts down for 2 weeks. so I placed the order very quickly that day. Having ordered these before and knowing the sizes - I ordered based on ages but ordered extra in all sizes (I have some other cruises that I can use the extra's on) because I ordered the extra ones - I was able to get the price down to .40 including shipping per bracelet - so that is around $50 for our cruise to give everyone one of the bracelets! I thought that was great.

So once I have them in my hands I will separate them into cabins and will have them at the meet - and if the sizes are too big or too small I will have extra's with me. This will be a good way to identify each other as part of our group!

I wish we could have done lanyards but they would have been $2.00 each - with a min. order of 100. We can still do them if we had enough people want to do them. As long as we ordered by Monday we could get them here in time. I am in if we have enough people want to do it, I can make it happen.

I was just going to ask if you ever sleep! Although lanyards would be nice, the wrist bands are great! You can still count on my contribution. Let me know if I can still just pay pal you.

I am going to PM everyone who is listed on the spreadsheet as wanting to do room tours to nail down a time. Hopefully for some who may not be checking the thread often, this will be a good way to ensure we have the input from all.

UPDATE ON THE WRISTBANDS:

They have arrived! Unfortunately they are not in my hands - because of the long delivery date they gave me I had them sent to our hotel in Nashville we will be staying at before our flight - I ordered them on the Jan. 27 and they SHIPPED on January 28th - they had given me an estimated delivery date of Feb. 24 - they got to the hotel MONDAY - from Hong Kong!!!

So now I have to find someone in Jackson (where I live) who is going to Nashville and pick them up maybe - otherwise you know what I will be doing the night before our flight (I will have the baggies already with cabin numbers and names/sizes) so it will not take long

I will now say (since they have gotten here) - anyone who wants to contribute to the cost can do so via paypal: akblair@charter.net - please mark it as a gift and include your DIS name so I can put it on the card with the bands so everyone knows who the gifts are from.

Or if you want to contribute but not via Paypal - just email me with the amount and how you want to send the money (or just give it to me on the ship) so I can include you on the card!

Thanks to anyone who donates - we have 99 cruisers on the official spreadsheet and with everything that brings the total for the wristbands, including packaging, to be $45 - donate whatever you want - or none at all - I ordered them expecting to pay the full amount so you do not have to contribute, but like I said I will be glad to accept some help!
