February 27, 2010 Eastern Cruise on the Magic

I was taking to SamKatFam and he said that we might split the FE into 2 groups. Is this the case? Also wanted to know if anyone could help me with a question..... My son will be 1 week away from turning 8. It looks like you have to be 8 to 11 to go into the bigger kids room on the ship. Does anyone know if they will alwo him to join or will he have to stay with the little kids?

FE Exchange.... right now we have 12 cabins participating that include 21 adults, and 11 children ( 6 boys and 5 girls ).

I had considered spliting the FE if we got over 20 cabins, but that's up to everyone participating. But so far it's not split.

Hopefully, someone with young children can help you out with the club. I had heard that the kids' clubs have changed and age is not a factor. In other words, if an 8 yo wants to do an activity with the younger group and a 5 yo wants to do an activity with the older group it's ok. But don't take my word, check with DCL

Thank you for the help. I will have to call them then because at this point from looking at the website it is devided by age. He will not enjoy playing with 5 year olds all day.

AUstin are you doing the FE? I wasn't sure.

I think we are, But before I am Definite, let me talk to Ash. I cant see why we wouldn't! We did on our last cruise and it was so fun!

From what I can tell, the new kids club format will be in place for our sailing. You should look on the cruise board for several threads on this. But in general, they are removing the age levels for 3-10 year olds and letting them participate in any activity of their choosing.

We made our cruise reservations back in 2008. It is hard to believe that they year we go (2010) has finally arrived.

IndyDisneyFan welcome. After the cruise we will be staying right across the lake from you in Boardwalk Villas.

As for movies. One of the best movie experiences I had was seeing the second Pirates of the Caribbean on the Magic in the Walt Disney Theater. There was even some wave action to add to the experience. I am looking forward to movies on this cruise to (even though we are not bringing any kids )

Hi All!

The reason rahrah liked the movie on the cruise so much was because he didn't have to pay to see it! (For those of you who think I'm being mean, rahrah is my dh )

Don't mind me, I'm just going crazy with excitement about our upcoming cruise - (and I should be studying for the bar exam )

I called DCL and asked about the movie line up. Here is what they said.....
(they also said this is subject to change and that we should call about two weeks from the cruise date for a more solid line up)
