February 25th Magic Cruise Board

Just curious what kind of chance de we have to get moved to the early seating on board? Both my kids have peanut allergy and I know they won't last till 830ish so will most likely have to do the fast serve or figure something else out. Everyone has me convinced I should try to eat meals in the restaurants as much as possible.

Also for Castaway Cay day can I get the kids special meals delivered straight to the cabana?

Have you called DCL to be waitlisted for early seating and mention peanut allergy? If not I would try this first. If you've already called try calling over the next few days to see if you have been moved if not try to get changed once you board. I would not miss meals in the main DR, imho that is one of our favorite parts of the day They don't usually serve/deliver your food to the cabana's. Cookies 2 is very nearby. Yup we have been waitlisted for a couple of months and I have informed them of the kids allergies. Just found out daughter had one last week. I will just try and call back this week otherswise I believe I can request once on board.

i too have always been gung ho about the clear shoe holder i take one everytime....

But i wasnt planning on taking one this time
simply because i have my screwed to the wall now and would have to purchase a new one.

i figured with just me and DH we wouldnt need one since we have so much less stuff with no kids

Actually, we will have the kids with us this time. We have a shoe holder for them, too. We use it all the time. It is so convenient to just drop the sunglasses and room card in it as soon as we get into the room. And the last thing we see on the way out is the key card, so we always remember to pick it up. It saves so much clutter.

If you still have time to shop, I got a couple at the dollar store yesterday: one for the kids' stateroom and one for my in-laws (who will be joining us on this trip, though I don't think I have mentioned that before).

Well, I finally managed to cram the last of my 87 pairs of shoes into my 16 suitcases so I guess we're ready to go! We're off to Orlando in the morning. Safe travels to everyone, and I am looking forward to meeting you on Saturday afternoon in the Promenade Lounge, if not sooner!

Im working today and Thursday. Kids are off of school Wed and Im taking off to finish packing and putting FE gifts together.
We arrive 1:20p and head to hotel then to Downtown Disney..Sis has an appt with her Fairy Godmother at Bippidy at 6pm.
Our group of 5 will be in red shirts with a Make a Wish logo on back.

The meet isn't for DVC members, it's for all the DIS board members that've been on this thread for months on end. You are still welcome to come and meet everyone! It's a good way for the kids to break the ice before they hit the clubs.

The FE exchange is for some of us that signed up to exchange mini gifts among cabins. Since about 1/2 of the folks on this thread have already departed, it's definitely too late to sign up now! A FE (Fish extender) is a little mini hanger that folks hang on the fish outside their stateroom, and exchange our gifts throughout the week.

We head out in about 48 hours yet. I still have almost 2 days of work before all my "out of office" replies go on, and then it's don't bother calling, we're going on a cruise!

Finally made it to Saratoga Springs after a very long 10 1/2 hour flight. DS now fast asleep. Looking forward to exploring tomorrow -hopefully it won't be too early a start. Last year DS was awake from 3 in the morning due to the time differences.

We're not driving over until Saturday so I have to do "real life" until then... so hard to stay focused! VERY excited and we all can't wait! Finished up last minute sewing/gluing/planning stuff so that I can turn off the stress button on Friday when I clock out at 5pm. (Actually have an eye appointment Friday at 5:15pm - how is THAT relaxing?!)

Now that we're down to the wire with prepping and packing, we're starting to debate how many "nice" and formal outfits to bring. We've cruised on 3 other lines but never Disney, and it sounds like Disney is more casual than average... Trying to balance the "not doing laundry on my vacation" with the "don't want to have the heaviest suitcases known to man" - not sure which side is winning =D

I'm sure this is incredibly cheesy, but I just thought I'd ask - do people where nametags or anything for these meet/greets, or how do you get to meet everyone and put a name/DISname with a face?

Hey everyone! I feel so out of the loop. Normally I participate a little more on these boards but I've been so swamped. Going to try to make the 3pm meet up in the Promenade Lounge. Just depends on how cooperative my little guy is being that afternoon.

We are flying out tomorrow morning! Usually I would be completely packed and ready to go but I am going to admit, in complete shame, that I still have suitcases sitting open at the moment while I play on the DIS! haha! I guess I better get back to work!

See everyone Saturday! We drive to the airport hotel tonite, and fly out tomorrow AM.

I have the "too excited to sleep" bug going, as you can tell by my time stamp. Been up for an hour doing a last load of laundry or two so we don't come home to ginormous piles, sorting the last mail, all those little tasks! I hate to come back home to a dirty house!
