February 25, 2010 WONDERful cruise

Our son is turning 6 while on board as well. Our kids do not know that they are going, and have no clue. Of course they ask every other day about going back on the "Disney Boat". This is number 5 as a family. Hope everyone has a safe trip down here. I am only 30-45 minutes away from the port.

Can you believe it...just when you thought the weather would be nice Mother Nature decides to mess around in NC... The forcast for Wednesday afternoon/evening is up to an inch of snow....Now that may not sound like much but here in NC that will shut us down. And my flight leaves at 4:30pm... What to do, what to do...should I miss another day of work and drive down with DH or chance it that the flight will depart on time....Let the stress begin!!!!!!!!!!

Any thoughts???

Hi - sorry to hear about your potential flight issues. Before I give you my two cents worth (with inflation only worth .075 anyways) I should tell you that I am NOT a phychic, I do NOT tell furtunes and I DO NOT play anyone on TV. That being said, I am worried you may miss the boat!!!! When you first said your plans I had a proxy angst feeling. Is your flight refundable? If so, I would consider putting a car rental on hold, going to work and if it is snowing - grab the car rental and head down (depending on where in NC you live) otherwise I say take off the day! Now this is really easy for me to say as I live 45 minutes from port - do not have snow issues and have more vacations days than I usually use. So that is my less than two cents worth.

Thanks Amanda- After calling Southwest and confirming where my flights orginate from, I have decided to wing it...I am at work now keeping a close eye on the rain here and will be up, up and away before the snow starts to fall...or at least that is what the weather folks are saying, and they better be right this time!

DH is on the way...he has been on the road for 3 hrs now, so far so good...

I have decided what I am wearing tomorrow...look for me in a navy blue long sleeve shirt with Disney Cruise line on the front...
