Can you get bottles of water at the drink station (on whatever deck that's on - LOL!) or is it just filling cups of water? If bottles, what does it cost per bottle?

Hi Gary,
The drink station is on Deck 9-Aft (near the Mickey Pool). They do not have bottled water there, but you can refill your own bottles or cups there. You can buy bottled water on board, but it is a bit pricey. Last year, we bought a six or eight pack of bottled water while we were on CC. Now mind you it did come in a very nice soft-sided cooler with the DCL logo, but it cost $29.00 + 15% tip.

This year, we're stopping at the grocery store in Cape Canaveral before boarding the ship.

The Shaggy Dog with Tim Allen. That was actually the main reason for my calling DCL to ask them. I was hoping it would be b/c everyone here wants to see it too. She said that was the complete list they have at this time - so maybe we'll get a pleasant surprise on board, but I'm not counting on it.

Last time we were on board "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen" debuted in theaters. Therefore it debuted on the boat as well. I clearly remember this night as we went to the show, my older daughter went to the club, and my DH and DB left the ship to go back to St Marteen for drinks and fun. When I was paged in the theater I naturally assumed that my daughter was ready to leave the club. The pager read "call guest services". No, they were not calling to tell me that my daughter was ready to leave the club, they were calling to tell me that as of 9:27 (all aboard time of 9:30) my DH and DB had not yet returned to the ship! Made for a lovely evening, and I still have never seen the end of that movie!

YIKES! Now that would get my blood moving . . .

I'm assuming that they made it back on board. Was it a technical glitch on DCL's part or where they just late coming back aboard?

Thanks for posting those great tips,Sally!! I know in my excitement of being in a new vacation spot I am going to want to get some souveniers, and what a great tip to save money!! Hmmm. Never haggled in my life, so this ought to be an interesting day.

Very welcome!! I know I would want that info. On the ship they say to shop early or you wont get some things later on. But at this port it's the opposite. Anything to save money!!

Also, as far as the movies go.... the new one that is coming out....Fri? about the dog? (I know, I should KNOW this Disney movie, but I have not had ONE chance to watch tv or anything... do you guys know what movie I am talking about? ) My BIL said if it is in the theaters it is on the ship... so does that mean Fri that movie will be on the ship also? BIL really wants to see it and is expecting to be able to on the ship. I hate to burst his bubble!

On another board they said that the Magic was playing "8 Below" on Tuesday (Tomorrow). But it's not on the list for our cruise.

Don't even let me be one of that bunch, unless you want to clear out the room

But when you go to shore & plan a beach day, can you take the disney Towels, or should you bring your own ???

No, you do not need to bring your own towels for use on shore. You can take pool towels from deck 9 and your room. Just remember to bring them back . . .

You can buy bottled water 24 pack for 29.00 and the soft sided cooler is 9.99.

Keep your eye open in the gift shop for items on sale, we purchased our kids a few embroidered sweat shirts for 14.99 regular 32.00 and it just had the cruiseline logo with the characters it didn't say 2005.

My only suggestion is to bring an extra bag/suitcase for packing on your way home you may need it.

OMG!!!! My biggest fear!!!!!! THAT is why I made the island days our "Family Time".

We had all been on the island together earlier in the day. The boys decided to venture back out for the evening for some island drinks and fun.

No, this was no mistake on Disney's part. As a matter of fact at the same time I was getting paged this is the conversation that my DB and DH were having:
DB: "Hey, what time do we have to be back on the ship?"
DH: "9:30"
DB: "Oh. What time is it now?"
DH: "9:25."

I think they boarded about 9:35. Unreal feeling when you get that phone call!

For the newbies, when you sign in your child to the club you get a beeper and the child gets a plastic band, similar to a hospital band. Their name isn't on it, just the number. If they get lost, you could be paged. That is your main identification for the club. Even when you are picking up your child there is a code word. I've always been very impressed. Did you all know you can sign your child in on-line now? I already signed in Josh - let's see how much time it saves. Filling out the forms while there are children popping all around gets me a little frazzled. What did I do when he was little??

As far as those towels go - they're not as big as my bathroom towel but they'll do the trick. We've chosen to bring a back pack off the ship when going to beach excursions because it's actually easier to pack things. Keep in mind - bring towels on non-DCL excursions, like Captain Marvin's. They don't have towels for you.

Don't forget to order sandwiches and chips and cookies the night before your excursions to bring off the ship. Don't worry - it's allowed. We carried ours right off. You paid for it. They're yummy.

Anything else? I can't recall.

my DW called Disney yeasterday, they said arrival @ Costa Maya was 7:30 a.m. we booked our ruins tour for 8:30, that way we have the afternoon to enjoy the beach and a few beverages.We booked with David and Ivan @ http://www.chacchobenruins.com. they said 8:30 or 1 hr after ship arrives.departure is scheduled for 5:30

after seeing the conflicting opinions on arrival time for Costa Maya, I called Disney again and was told we would be arriving @ 10:30 am and departing @ 6:00 pm.sorry for the bum info
