OMG Melanie.. that is beautiful!!! How are you all doing these???

We should all have something the same on our doors that we will recognize and know that that door is part of this little group here. :)

Well, I am a graphic designer, so I should be able to come up with something. Maybe. Then again, unless I am creating a digital scrapbook kit, I dunno if I can do it! LOL!

Bob that was GREAT!!! What precious video's, especially Summer :) Will she be with you for this cruise? What a Cutie!! princess:

Unfortunatly my nieces, brother and sil will not be on this trip with us. This time it will just be DH and myself 2DD's and my parents.

We just informed my youngest daughter today that she will be the new "shortest person" on our trip. I don't think she was keen on that idea....

Feiste,
We posted a message earlier about possibly having the kids meet as well. We have two daughters 8 & 5 who are always looking for a good time. Our 5 year old is a "girly girl" a lot of the time, but she also loves sports. We haven't quite figured her out yet. We should get to the port around 10:30 as well. Let us know. Take care, Crissy

Sorry it took me so long to reply, but sometimes this board gets so busy I miss things! I haven't gotten to HD to pick up my paint swatch yet, but I do think we should try and figure out a way to get all of these kids together at the port to meet. Maybe a certain time by the model ship?

Feiste and Bob -- What great videos...it's bringing it all back to me now..... and you're just down the street from us - well not too far anyway-
Can't wait....

Thanks, we really enjoy making our "home movies". If anyone hasn't looked at them yet please be patient with the download, it may take a minute, but you will surely get the feel of being on the ship!

Ilene... I can't believe how many families there are on this cruise from our little part of he world! Who is in your group?

I"ve been reading the reviews at Cruise Critic about this place and soooo many people said not to book the beach excursion, to just go to the beach and pay as you go, it's cheaper. Even if it's all inclusive.. it's still cheaper to pay as you go.

Yes, but specifically which beach? I haven't been able to figure it out. My youngest who has Asperger's Syndrome is having a hard time adjusting to the fact that there will be no sea trampoline and iceberg climbing thing. :( Wonder if there is anything like that at Grand Cayman?

Meeting at the port is a good idea. If port opens around 10:30, then sign in, how about 11am or so?? That will give them an hour or so to get to know each other.

Hi all,
I can't beleive how this thread has picked up!! :cheer2: I just had to say that my boys so enjoy the emailing back and forth with your sons!! My 9 year old Griffin now has three "friends": Tyler, Matt & Dylan. He is psyched. Ryan is enjoying emailing with Dylan as well and with Kyle and my youngest DS5, Jason can't wait to play Yu Gi Oh with Zack. I think it's so great that they will know so many of the kids in their groups!! We are bracing for over a foot of snow here starting tonight. I sure hope it does not affect school on Monday morning, I have every minute of the next week taken up by getting ready for this cruise. Once the kids are out for February vacation, I know I won't be able to get much done!! Have a nice weekend all!!

I can only imagine Port, may be busy with those keeping group together & baggage, etc, where once on the ship & luggage is gone.. what do others think ? What is odd is, if we set a meet for the Kids, ours will probably be super shy, but if they just meet at pool, or in Kids area, they will mingle fine, just a thought... Maybe if we all just happen to show up at the Mickey's Kid Pool around 12-1:00.. may also be a relaxing time (after port hustle & b4 rooms)

Got more than a feeling on being on the ship, got the feeling of being there with your family & friends... Well put together, compliments to the editor too, along with the photo eye...

I enjoy just taking pictures & will plan to fill some web pages when we return. Feel free to visit our site [on signature below], I have also included a few thing to having to visit disney or check documents. includes ship deck maps, Itinerary w/ dock times & stops, along with the Itinerary map...
Each stop has a page & some have island maps, along with a link to this message board & also the kids. Feel free to bookmark & use at your leisure.

Jeff. see ya soon :sunny:

Hi Everyone!

I can't believe we only have 2 more weeks until the cruise!! When we booked this at the end of February last year, it seemed like so far away! I can't believe we're almost in the single digits for countdown! :woohoo:

Jeff, did I see that you are taking American out of Logan? We are taking American as well. Which flight will you and your family be on? Our flight leaves on Friday the 24th at 2:51. We didn't want to risk getting delayed and missing the cruise!

Is everyone here New England ready for tonight's storm? I have heard so many conflicting reports as to how much snow to expect! At least a foot though. Yikes!!! :scared1: Can't wait to stick my toes in the sand!! :sunny:

Is anyone else staying at the Motel 6 in Cocoa Beach the night before?

Can't wait to meet you all! party:

Hi Tracy,
I don't think there is an organized beach per se in Majahahaulalalalal (however you spell it :rotfl2: ). From what I've read, there are many restuarants along the beach and you can get use of the chairs and beach if you buy some food or drinks. Everyone said the prices are very reasonable.

We have me (Rick), DW (Ilene), DS8 (Matt), DS6 (Zack), DM (Sally), and DA (Kathy). DM and DA are already in Florida. They are going to pick us up from MCO on the 24th.

If you guys are settled enough we'll see you by the model around 11. If not we will certainly be at the pool in the afternoon, so that should work. We'll probably be at the pool a liitle closer to 1:00, as we will eat as soon as we get on board :thumbsup2

Okay, that threw me off...I didn't realize you guys were from the same group! I think I'm going into information overload :teeth:

I hope everyone in the Northeast makes it through this snowstorm OK. Here in Michigan, we woke up to snow flurries, but that's it.

I'll try to keep up with the board while I'm over in Germany next week. I need to get myself moving here as my flight leaves this afternoon.

Take care . . .

Hi Jeff,

You are probably leaving on the flight right before ours. We are flight 1645 and go direct to Orlando as well. You will be landing about 15 minutes before we do! We are scheduled to land at 6 pm.

As for the snow, I have heard the same! After the Blizzard of '78 - "Just a few flurries" - I take their inch predictions with a grain of salt!! :rotfl: We are just off of 495, so we are always on the snow line - "If it goes this way you'll get 20 inches, but if it goes that way there will be just rain" :rotfl2: They never seem to get it right!!

They can predict anything they want once we are on that boat!! ;)

Rick - it was nice meeting you last night! Have a safe trip to Germany!

Moira,

Our flight leaves Logan at 2:50 and gets in at 6:00 too. Maybe we will see you in baggage claim!

They (the weather brains) are saying 6 -10 for us on the coast, I am hoping for less but these nor'easters tend to hit us hard.
