I have some pictures uploaded on my site but it's so time consuming to subtitle everything. I guess I should just do it like Jeff but I like to talk so it comes out my fingers on the pages.

Boy o boy, what a life! Like father (Norman), like son (Joshua),
Who would have known they'd grow up to be so alike??

I hate to tell you Kim, neither has grown up yet :teeth:
But then most of us don't with Disney in our life

Sorry to hear Jeff isnt feeling well... But hope he gets better soon... Im also sorry I missed all the meets... Well there was that one time at the Goofy pool I met up with some of you... You are all a bunch of great people and have met new friends...It was a great Cruise.. So Great that on Monday we booked our 7th cruise for this year going Sept 16th the one that doubles up at Castaway Cay.Another 7 day western...We used our DVC points for that one....Also planned our 8th with a bunch of friends as well for 3rd week in march07 or first week in April07 ......I guess I will miss the rest of you going in Feb but have a konk cooler for me.....LOL.... Again it was so great seeing you all.... Have a great day and Im sure i will keep in touch.....  :cool1:

From another Jeff

HOLY CRAP JEFF!!!! You must have one hell of a great job!!! How on earth can you cruise so often? I envy you!! lol

My Jeff is feeling much better.. it only lasted 2 days for him.. THANK GOD! He lose 12# in one day!

I absolutely love the disney cruises and would go anywhere they were going. Jeff on the other hand likes to see different places and wants to try out as many cruiselines as possible. He is finding some great deals on some awesome cruises, but I still want to go back on Disney. If they ever venture to Hawaii you KNOW I'll be on that one!!! he he Maybe even the Europe one :) We found a 2 week to Hawaii that costs the same as 2 weeks on a Disney ship to the Caribbean. gotta love that. But Hawaii has to wait till 2008. We have others wanting to go on that one :cool1:

Kim and Norm.. I'll miss you guys next Spring :( BUT I will be on some cruise somewhere!!!

Does anyone want to come with us on the Hawaii one in 2008? I'd love to have everyone there.. that would be so cool!! But it will be 10-11 or 14 day cruise. 7 days just isn't enough for that. If we do Cal. to Cal. we get alot of days at sea :) I sure wish Disney would do that.. I love that ship!

How about starting our own "Picture of the Day" from our Cruise week thread? I'm submitting mine.
Norm
I would love to have a T.V. This size, would'nt you?

WebDSCF1089.jpg

Kim, I'm with you on that.. he he We do have a bigscreen TV so I can't complain too much though.

VAVALYNN.. you missed the Midnight buffet?? Oh man. It wasn't listed as that though. It was 11:15pm - 12:15am. It was just listed as dessert buffet and not in the activities.. it was somewhere else. Jeff noticed it. It's too bad too. But many figured it out because the line was halfway down the ship! :rotfl2:

PS How pathetic am I? :confused3 I am 48 years old and I have been listening to my burned Disney favorites CD (with the Mickey horn on it) on my way to and from work!!!! (35 minute drive!!!!) Hahaha

Karen.. I miss that horn too!!! I still hear the comedian talking about the difference in the cruise ships horns... that cracked me up!!!

Norm.. I LOVE your idea.. I just wish I could figure out how to put a pic on here. You'd THINK Jeff would show me.. :rotfl2: I DO know how to do it with the yahoo groups though. But that really doesn't help me here.. Duh! :lmao:

Rick... what other cruiselines do you use? YOu seem to go all over. Do you prefer any over others? Disney seems to be in a class all it's own I know.

Hey MY JEFF... I love all the talk about having Disney in our lives not letting us grow up... hmmmmmm How about we KEEP a disney cruise in our lives.. he he he :lmao: We could do one Disney and one other each year.. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Ok I have to reach Executive Director first.. :teeth: But damn... I'd love that.

Well we did the Eastern/southern caribbean on the Dawn Princess. THAT WAS INCREDIBLE!!! 24 hr. Buffets.. (So you can understand Jeff's unhappiness with the way Disney did theirs). Personally Iknew I wasn't going to gain anything on Disney because of the way they did theirs.. so I was happy. That is how a cruise should be. :goodvibes NOT about the food.

I am putting myself out there in front of all of you. And I need to do this. I have had alot happen in my life and so much that holds me back. But this one thing I need to not stop working on soooooooooooo... I am commiting to myself in front of all of you, that I will stay faithful on Weight Watchers and Curves to get me back in tip top shape. I wasn't always overweight... heckmost of my life I was very healthy. But I let go of everything at some point over the past few years and just refused to look at myself. NOT ANYMORE! I see the pics from the cruise and do not recognize that person. I know most of you dont give a hoot.. but I'm doing this for me. I'm going to get back to the person I know I am. Starting this very day! If any of you want to hold me accountable at any time.. feel free! I welcome it! Because I will do this.

But now for the Eastern/Southern... We saw St. Thomas, St. Kitts, and St. Maarten, and forget the other places.. but it was absolutely beautiful! Moreso even than the Western that we just went on. We never saw any seaweed in the crystal aqua blue waters, no underwater grass growing. All were very warm, and soooooo nice to be in and at. The islands were clean and very authentic. I much prefer those over the Western. But alas like many have said... it doens't matter where you go on the Disney ship. lol I do love Castaway Cay though. An Eastern with TWO stops there would be the ultimate! Sure wish there were no underwater grass though.. that grossed me out. lolol I could have and would have walked out to see the underwater mickey. :mickeyjum

Grrrrrrr I went to come here and DIS said I had no subscriptions to any groups!!! SIlly boards!!!

Hey... If anyone sees this tonight (Sunday). My son is having a magazine drive and you can get new magazines or renew ones you already have from the date they end too. It's awesome. The prices are good too. If anyone needs any, PLEASE email me asap at Dotcomangels@aol.com with the magazine you want or need renewed :) We can do the money through paypal or mail.

Thanks :)

I hate to even ask this, as I checked my navigators when I got home- did we miss the dessert buffet? After I got home I also realized that I did not see anything about this. Is this only offered on the eastern?

This is one thing that my wife and I wished was posted in the Personal Navigators. We stumbled on several late buffets (not that we had any room to partake with a late seating for dinner - LOL!) throughout the week. We wished that we knew about these; the times that they would begin and where they would be located so that we could have planned a little better.

There was more than one? :faint:

They were in the navigators, just well hidden. They were listed under the "Other Dining Options." Definitely not well advertised.

I just went back and looked through our Navigators and it's right there where you said it was! We searched high and low through them on the cruise and never found the notifications of the various buffets. I guess that we were looking for something in a "box" that made it more noticeable. Thanks for the info - we'll know for our next cruise!

Hi, everyone,
I just checked the personal navigators for the late night buffets. Apparently they were simply listed as late night snacks instead of a buffet, with the exception of the dessert buffet. Sure wish we had known about them, as my husband thinks he has to have some kind of snack every night. We had early dinner seating, so it would have worked out very well for him.

I am sorry that I did not get to meet more of the DIS on the cruise. The first couple of days our grandson was under the weather (we think it was an anxiety attack and nothing contagious, but he was kept in his room for a day, just to be sure), so I didn't get a chance to attend some of the meets.

Thanks to everyone who has posted pictures. They are great. I would like to post some of my pictures, but am not sure how to do it. I do have a home page on a genealogy website, so will see if I can post the pictures there. As soon as I figure it out, I will post here to let everyone know where to find my pictures.

The cruise was great, and I would like to go again, but not before we make another trip to Ireland. Hopefully, that will be next year, but no later than the year after. Then we will think about another cruise. In the meantime, hopefully we can stay in touch.

Leta.. have you heard??? he he Disney is launching a European Cruise. It'll be a 10 and 11 day cruise and they will be going to Greece, Italy, I think Ireland.. I have to recheck but keep an eye out in the next month or so as Disney will be letting everyone know about it. :cool1:

Thanks for the information, Sally. I will watch for the information. However, if we did that trip, we would want to be able to spend more than a few hours in Ireland. We went to Ireland in 2003 for two weeks. We are looking at another two week trip, as we are hoping to locate where my husband's great grandfather and great great grandparents came from. We are working on it, and hopefully, we will able to resolve the mystery of their origins.

for those looking for a copy of the Navigator, I have posted all 7 days worth in pdf file format at our picture site http://www.bowersgarden.com/cruise06/

Good thing the desert buffet wasn't advertised more, lines were long enough.
but worth the wait... or should i say, "worth the WEIGHT " :rotfl2:

Well the webpage update is done!!! Click the link below. I can't wait to hear what all of you think!

I will soon be adding posts to our personal "picture of the day" thread (as soon as my husband reminds me how to do it!)

Missing all of you, it's so sad when there's so few posts between my peeks here, but alas I guess that means that we are all really back in the real world :guilty:

Hi Jen,
Fantastic pictures! Ilene and I really had fun meeting you during the cruise. I'm about a 1/3 of the way through my trip report (I know, I know, I'm late with it). We've loaded most of our pictures to Snapfish . Please excuse some of the picture quality as our camera decided to go south for some of the trip. I guess it's time to replace it . . .

Have a good day all . . .

I knew I could count on you Jeff and Rick to be helpful!!!

Rick - We really enjoyed meeting your family as well. Ilene and I had a couple of really nice chats! What a shock to the system this morning with the weather! I knew it was coming, but after the great temps the last two days it sure didn't make this morning any easier!
