Bahamas Papers: I know stuff was asked, but can't find it
This is basiclly for Castaway Cay ? (in Bahamas)

Arrive by: do we select Cruise ship, Disney Magic, & the day it arrives at Castaway, with Disney as our agent ??

or are they asking for all the normal stuff, like airlines, my agent,
~ There is one part where the ask "City boarded this plane/boat" [Boston/Orlando/Port Canaveral]??

I guess is it asking for my info for the cruise, or just the 1 bahama's island ??

Hi Jeff! I was kind of confused about that too!! Well I wrote down Mar. 3 for the day of arrival and I wrote Port Canaveral as the city where I boarded the boat. I was going to just leave it blank and fill it out when we got to Port...but I guess if I'm wrong I will have to refill everything out again. You'd sure think that they could make it alittle easier to understand!! :confused3

Just hearing everyone talk about the different drinks... I can not wait to try some! Can't wait to see our bar bill at the end of the cruise!!

Jeff – you know you can’t go on the Mickey Slide, right?
WHAT ??? I Can't...  It's he whole reason I picked this boat...

If your DS or DD have charging privilidges they can spend anything, anywhere. We plan on having the talk with Joshua some time today to go over what he should be thinking about. I am still gun-shy with the privilidges for him. I don't know if they do sell Pokeman cards on the ship. The game cards I am referring to is like a subway card or a bus card with a swipe on the back. They purchase the card with credit on it and use it instead of quarters. Joshua seemed to like to purchase them because they had many different pictures - it almost seemed like he wanted to see how many pictures he could get. Anyway, the stores were not an issue because we were with.
Giving our Dylan access to a chargable card is as dangerous as giving Sally a credit Card...
or should i say "another" creditcard :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Jeff - I'd meet up with you and Sally at dusk in Union, MA if you wanted to. My mom is in Willington, CT. How far are you all from there??

We wanted to meet up with Kelli but she's a very busy momma!

Kim

Kim, don't know where Union Ma is, can't even find it on the maps
Wilmington is 1½hrs from us, & even southbridge MA is an hour...
We have Ice skating party that i need to be at today in our neighborhood.
Goes like 1-4, so the meet will probably have to wait til Sat....

Glad I wasn't the only confused one on those forms :teeth:

Bar Bill ??? that is where my savings is going to... :lmao:
If i have enough drinks... I won't even care what the bill is,... :rotfl2:
Besides, I am on VACATION... we work a lot & just pay BILLS.
If i need to spend some $$$ to have a few drinks while I lounge around the pool, in the sun on this nice big Disney Boat.. We deserve it.... :thumbsup2

Is it possible to put a dollar limit on the kids KTTW cards? I was hoping to be able to.

Kathy

KTTW cards are a charging mechanism, you either give charging priveleges or you do not. We asked that last time and that is what they told us.

I guess this doesn't matter too much as he wont be alone anywhere on the ship anyway. Maybe when he's a bit older.. but not at 9. :scared:

RIck heard that you can set a pre determined amount on the cards this time around. We are hoping it is so, I think it would be good for the kids to be able to make some of their own purchase decisions! By the was Kim...game cards?!@?!?! Do you recall which kind? We have an issue here with them - as I am sure most of you with young men in your homes do too!!

mmmmmmmm won't be long now....making the kids try on their dress clothes today.......

If you decide to give them charging priveleges and they end up abusing that can you then go to Guest Services and have them taken away?? Meaning the charging privleges....not the kids!!! :lmao: :rotfl2:

Rubber Duckies for the Mardi Gras Party? Ok what did I miss? :cool1: Oh and the pirate beads.. did you get the coin necklaces? I was going to get those for us but didn't.. Now I wish I had. :headache:

I think our DH's are going to be enjoying the drinks together.. This is going to be funny. Hopefully they aren't worshipping the porcelain thrown :worship: :rotfl2:

***NOTE ABOUT THE KIDS BOARD*** If you think about it.. Can you have your sons put in a few posts at the message board. Dylan has been wanting to talk to the boys and the responses have been low.. and I want them to feel the excitement we all do when we talk here. Thanks :goodvibes

No you didn't miss anything :rotfl: They are small little rubber ducks that are dressed for mardi gras. Thought the kids could play with them in the pool

How do you access the KIDS BOARD. My boys would love to talk and meet people before they go. My oldest talks often to Evan online

Happy Sunday all!

I'm back in the good old USA, although it was a very rude blast of cold air getting off the plane back here in Detroit. It was so cold, that the doors on the cargo containers froze shut on the plane. It took them over an hour to get our luggage to us. What a way to end the trip.

I'll try to answer any lingering questions from the pages I read this morning. . . .

1. Kids charging on KTTW cards - DCL now lets you put different KTTW cards with different payment types. This way, you can put say $30 on your kid's KTTW card. When it's gone, they're cut off. You can also go to Guest Services at any time to revoke charging privilages. We are still debates whether or not to give our kids charging.

2. Ice - Your room attendent will bring you ice for your soft sided coolers. No need to go to the ice machine by the beverage stations on deck 9.

3. Yu-Gi-Oh type cards - I don't remember seeing these types of cards for sale on the ship. Perhaps they have some Disney-type trading cards.

4. Charges for games - The only games that cost money are the ones in the arcade (Quartermasters on deck 9). The games in the club/lab are free.

5. Money while on board and in port - The only cash that you can use on board is to tip for room service. Otherwise, all other transactions are processed on your KTTW card. In ports, your KTTW card CANNOT be used to charge (except for Castaway Cay). We've used cash and credit cards while in port (never used travelers checks). I've heard that you can cash them at Guest Services.

I can't remember if there were more questions. I'm going to end this post and go back to read. . . .

Rick

This was pulled from the Disney web sight of fun facts on the ship

Each ship can make 1,200 tons or 5000,000 gallons of fresh water from seawater each day -- that's enough glasses of water for everyone in Chicago and Houston combined.

Hope you like that answer.. well off to work and cant wait till this week is over and the Cruise starts

From another Jeff...... :cool1:

Some more questions:

Bahamas Form - This is used becasue Castaway Cay is in the Bahamas. In section 1, you need to fill out name, passport number (if you have one), birthdate, and address. Also, check arriving by Discovery Cruises/Ferry/Other Ship. Put the date of arrival as 03/03/06 and put "PC" as where you boarded the ship. In section 2, list your TA and their city. Also put "1" for number of nights, check the "other" box and list the "Disney Magic" as the hotel name. Everyone in the group needs to fill out a form (including children).

Other docs - You only have to fill out the minor authorization form if you are travelling with kids without their parents. The payment authorization form is the official signature form the KTTW charges. The embarkation form is to list an emergency contact. Finnaly, everyone must sign the cruise contract form.
