February 25, 2006 Western Magic Cruisers!!

Thanks for answering all my questions everyone! I guess I don't quite understand the 75 day thing. So, can I start making ressies on Saturday or Sunday after midnight? Is it central time or eastern time? Sorry for all the questions. This is our first time cruising!! :earboy2:

If I did my math right, you can begin on Monday, 12/12 at 3:00am EST (midnight PST) to make your ressies (75 days out from sailing). On your next cruise, you can start at the 90 day mark.

we plan to do key west and cozumel on our own.

for grand cayman i really want to go to the beach. DH really wants to do the sting ray excursion. so i think we will compromise and sign up for the disney rum point and sting ray excursion.

i know we could probably use cpt marvins and then try to do our own transportation to rum point, but we thought this would be easier this way.

I think Native Way has a Stingray City and Rum Point trip as well. Might be a bit cheaper than Disney . . .

Rick

i did not know about that. thanks! :) i will look into it.

We're still talking with our DSs about Stingray City. I think we'll try showing them the video from our March 04 cruise to entice them. Another option I was considering was renting a car and heading out to Rum Point or Hell on our own.

I can't believe this weather. It's not even winter yet, but the low temp last night was 2. It feels like late January . . . .

Stay warm everyone . . . .

Rick

We are doing Capt. Marvin's Sting Ray trip. I booked it myself a few months ago. Can't wait. I want to do the dolphin encounter in Cozmel but holding off to see if we still go to that port and if they are doing the dolphin encounters.

Guess our weather is way warmer that most of yours. Highs in the 50's and 60's this week. Which is cold for us.

Can't wait til Feb to set sail :boat: and meet everyone :flower:

We just received the Disney Cruise DVD :boat: in the mail today (sent away about a month ago). Had fun watching it with the kids, talking up the fun things to do. :goodvibes

DS8 thought it might be fun to swap email addresses (or snail mail) with the other boys his age. :chat: Of course DS6 thought that was a good idea as well :rotfl2: .

We could swap addresses via PM. What does everyone think? :grouphug: :confused3

I think the DVD is updated each year. I just went onto Disneycruiseline.com and ordered one.

We got a big snowstorm last night. The kids are off school today. Good thing I got the snowblower working last night . . .

We got the dvd back in August!! It is really nice to watch!! My 3 yr old watches it all the time...makes the wait even harder!! :rolleyes1

I just got an answer from the DVD request. She told me to go to the home page, scroll down and when I see the Free DVD icon on the lower left hand side... click. I could not find that! Am I blind, tired or missing something?

dreamakermom-it is on dcl.com in the left hand corner!! If you cant find it just PM me with your address and I will be happy to fill it out for you so that they can send you one!!! :flower:

Hi All!!

Rick gave me a good idea. Not only would it be a good idea to swap emails for the kids but could we also list the kids names/ages/interests again. This thread is growing so fast and a refresher would be nice. I have three boys. Two will be in the Lab; Griffin (9) and Ryan (8). Jason (5 1/2) will be in the Club. Griffin and Ryan love everything baseball and Jason loves Spongebob and Dora. The boys would love to have some "friends" before we board. Any other boys out there???

Hi Kelli! Well I think my kids are too old and too young for yours!! Josh is 17 (almost 18) Rachel is 15 and Jake will almost be 4 by the time we cruise!!

I have 2 boys. Andrew 14 and Alex 10. Andrew likes xbox and music. Alex is a sports nut. Alex will be in the lab. Don't know what Andrew will want to do yet. Can't wait to meet everyone.

My youngest son is 13 and also likes xbox. He wants to go to the arcade. I also have a 16 yr daughter and a a 4 yr old grandaughter. My niece will be with us and she is 14. She gets along real well with my 6 yr old, so I am sure they will be hanging out together doing the teen scene. :cool1: :cool1:

When I first posted to this thread, it was way back on 2/1/05! Now . . . we're almost at 75 days before the cruise and this thread has grown to 16 pages!!!

To refresh . . .

We are travelling with a large group that grew even after I posted on 2/1/05.

A new member to the disboards, mfabre, is my oldest daughter. She posted on about page 15 about her trip.

Included in our party is:

myself - 43
my husband - 50
mfabre (oldest daughter) -23
son-in-law - 24
son (serving in Iraq and supposed to be on leave to join us) - 21
daughter - will turn 16 on 2/28 (Mardi Gras Day)
granddaughter - 5
grandson - almost 2
daughter's best friend - 15
dbf's mom and dad
mfabre's dad
mfabre's stepmom

All of my children and grandchildren will be with me including my daughter's best friend who just as soon be a member of my family!

Can't wait to meet everyone!

Mfabre has been very busy designing the pillowcases for character signature.

Anyone want to designate a day as LSU attire day? I know we have at least two other members from south Louisiana.

We have two boys. Matt (8) and Zack (6) both enjoy roller hockey, Yu-Gi-Oh cards, building with Legos, and playing on the sports deck. Matt is signed up for the lab and looking forward to spending time up on the basketball court. Zack's in the club and can't wait for the snacks on deck 9.

The rest of our party is:
Me, Ilene (DW), Sally (DM), and Kathy (DA). This is the thrid Disney cruise for Matt, Zack, Ilene and I. First Disney cruise for Sally and Kathy (her first cruise period).

Stay warm everyone . . .

Rick
