February 25, 2006 Western Magic Cruisers!!

Just got off the phone with my Mom. She and her sister (my Aunt) will be joining us on this trip. :cool1: :wave2:

This makes our party myself and DW (upper 30's), two DSs (8 and 6), DM and DA.

Rick

Great news! I like your "upper 30's" statement. DH and I would be in the "lower 40's" ... well "only" 40 for me and 42 for him!

Well, I got you all beat and am in upper 40's but you sure can't tell by the way I act!!!! :rotfl2: And I must say, since booking this cruise I have lost OVER 41 inches and over 30 pounds!!! So, I don't look it either!!!!  I am glad your family is extending on this trip.
Goal for the weekend.... Green Mickey ears from Home Depot!!! :earboy2:

OK, what is everyone doing for formal wear? I though about renting tuxes for the boys and I, but I think we'll save that money to spend on the ship and just bring suits. :teeth:

Rick

We are going on the Feb 25th Magic!! This will be our first cruise. Cruising will be myself, DH, DD5 and DS1 1/2. We have a party total of 12 I think! We are going to Disney World for a few days before the crusie also. Its been a very long time since I have been there and will be my DH and DC first times. Looking forward to cruising with all of you!! :wave2:

Welcome mfabre! This is turning out to be a great group . . .

Hi Rick! Husband and I talked about renting tux's but just like you stated...decided to save the money and spend it while we were on cruise. he owns a black suit anyways so to me thats close enough to a tux!! ;) Good luck with whatever you decide but for only one night I think I'd save the $$

The men in my family are bringing suits... not tuxes. I agree... save the money and spend someplace else.
Next... I am excited to meet you guys!!
Rick... I just noticed that your ticker says the days. SO... when I see 75 on your ticker... I know I can get online!!! :earboy2:
I am really going overboard on this cruise!! Oh..overboard!!! Get it??!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: You really would think by the way I am acting, that I was 14!!!! :Pinkbounc

I am just like you dreamakermom! SOOOOOOOOOO excited!! When I booked the cruise 7 months ago...my DD said "god calm down mom its 7 mos.away!!" The last 4 months have flown by so I'm hoping that the next 3 go just as fast...if not faster!! This our first major vacation in 4 years so it cant happen soon enough! I was making the magnetic door signs in Sept!! :earboy2:

You're getting the snow we had here in WI yesterday Rick! YUK!! :cold: Knowing we are going on the cruise in a few months is making winter a little bit more bearable for me!! But I agree!! Wish I was on the Magic NOW!! :sunny:

Hi All

Ok, so it isn't snowing in WI today, but I've literally been freezing for the past how many days! My feet and hands will be cold from now until April or May ... with a thawing out break for a week :bounce: My poor husband when I crawl into bed at night and put my icicle feet on him! :rolleyes1

Okay, no formal wear for us either. DH has a versatile suit coat and he'll wear that and alternate pants, shirts, and ties (probably for semi-formal and formal nights). I've got what I consider one "nicer" dress that I'm setting aside for formal night. Other than that, I'll be bringing along a few other sundresses and/or pantsuits ... NOT one for every night, that's for sure!

We'll be making our final payment this weekend and booking Palo ressies!

Well, after going back and forth about February. Me and my husband just booked for this trip today! Since we are newbies to cruising what is the specific day we can start making reservations for things?

Hi Donna!! Congrats on the final payment!! Its such an awesome feeling!! LOL on the cold hands and feet! Mark cant stand it when I crawl into bed with my cold feet! (which is every night now that its cold!) :cold:

Welcome aboard goiu! Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe first time cruisers can book 75 days out, and your trip needs to be paid in full before you can book anything also.

Yahoo

I made the final payment earlier this week, got our Southwest tickets done, and just made our Palo/Oceaneer Club ressies(Thanks Rick, I followed your directions). No more ressie rush!
Next up, car rental & pre cruise hotel. I love the planning stage, I actually get bummed when its all done-crazy, I know.

Karen, Congrats on your weight loss. Can't wait to meet everyone. When we went on our first cruise, though, the DIS meet was set it up to be outside Scoops the first day and the turn out was not great. People were still rushing about I think, but whatever the group decides is fine.

Anyone interested in doing a DIS cabin crawl? We're in the "hidden verandah" cabin(an obstructed view).

Hi :wave2: everyone,

Just let me know where and when the dis meet will be. I can't wait to meet everyone. We are in our low 40's ugggg can't believe I said that. My 40th birthday is next week. DH had his in March.

Making that final payment feels so good. I made ours a few months back and was so happy to have it done  Can't wait to book Palo and the spa. Have to wait til 75 days out since this is our 1st Disney Cruise.

My husband and I join the "low 40's" group, although I doubt we will ever grow up :earboy2:

This is our second cruise :sunny: , and the first one we had a Dis-meet at 10 am before we got to Key West (we don't dock there until 12:30 pm) at the Promenade Lounge. The advantage to this was that it was the second day and everyone was past the initial get-on-board, eat, explore, life boat drill craziness. There was a pretty good turn out at this meet. :grouphug:

I am also revelling in the planning. My husband thinks I'm nuts.

It snowed here 2 more inches last night... :teleport: Ahh Castaway Cay...
