February 25, 2006 Western Magic Cruisers!!

Hi Edinafabs! Well this is our first cruise...what exactly is a DIS cabin crawl!? :confused3

Good morning mateys!!!! :wave2: :wave2: I am SO almost ready for this cruise! I swear all I have to do is put my stack of clothes into the suitcase!!! A little more shoe shopping would be fun though!!!
Congrats on all of you that got your final payments in... :cheer2: :cheer2: I can join in the excitement as I sent mine in and they received it last week.
:cloud9:
As far as meets go... I am game too.... just don't want to miss any BINGO!!! Hahaha :rotfl2: Maybe we can set 2 times, and if people miss the first one b/c of whatever reason, at least there is a chance to meet the next day. If you want to go to both... you can, just don't forget to wear the green Mickey paint sample for our Disney friendly Home Depot (my first trip today so I am totally done with cruise arrangements!!!). This is just an idea.
OK I have to go start my day (with coffee). See you guys soon. Karen

Well, at least the snow has stopped (for the moment) but it is freezing outside.

Sunday before Key West sounds good to me. I know last year, we were very pressed for time when trying to meet before the safety drill.

Rick

Good Morning All,

Well no snow here. Never have snow in the South. Today will be a warm 80 degrees with lots of sunshine. All you in the North stay warm. You will be basking in the warm and sunshine very soon.

Just let me know where to meet for the Dis meet.

Everyone have a Magical Day :)

Oh my gosh....80 sounds heavenly!!! :sunny: It is 11 degrees here right now!! :cold: That "basking" that you mentioned cant happen soon enough!!!
Going to Home Depot today!! :teeth: Meeting before Key West sounds good!! Like you said Rick alot less rushing!!

OK... got my Disney Mickey samples from Home Depot.... I am totally ready for the cruise now!!! :cool1: :cool1: Karen

Hello everybody. Our kids will have to skip college now, but we are paid in full!!! Our family of 4 which includes 8yo dd and 5yo dd will be on our first DCL cruise with all of you. We've cruised RCCL and Carnival before, but never DCL. We're trying to hold our excitement until after the holidays, but it's tough. Enjoy the pre-planning.

Welcome aboard crissy ...

Meeting the second day before Key West is a great idea ... I'm all for that! :daisy:

Welcome crissy . . .

Down to 81 days now . . .

Happy Monday all . . .

Rick

Happy Monday Rick! Well I know it has to be just as cold in MI as it is here in WI!! 81 days sems like a long way off when you're in 0 degree weather!! :cold: Dreaming of warmer days!! :cloud9:

we can finally join the full payment group. :cool1: i think all the planning is done now except for reservations 75 days out.

DH and i are very excited about our first cruise. We are late twenty somethings that need to escape out of the bitter cold each winter. And February is usually the worst.

would love to meet up on key west day. I look forward again to the days when we can feel the sun on our faces. winter in central ny is very gloomy.

have a good week! february is right around the corner. :)

Congrats on the final payment vavalynn2 :Pinkbounc

Our final payment was posted today  so I was online on my lunch hour making Palo brunch and dinner ressies :teeth:

What excursions do you all have planned? Anyone have spa ressies?

Have a good week all :flower:

We just made Palo ressies. No plans for DCL excursions. I think we will use Native Way on GC to see Stingray City. For Cozumel, we are going to take a taxi to Paradise Beach. We're going to wing it on Key West and CC.

It is so cold here tonight, I think my toes have fallen off. Feb can't get here soon enough.

Rick

Hi Rick:

Whaddaya mean, cold? You're at 19 degrees, we're at 9 degrees! ;) And no relief in sight for most of the week.

We haven't booked any excursions either, but we are planning on taking a taxi to Paradise Beach in Cozumel also. I, along with my friend going with us, may surprise our DHs with the fishing excursion at CC.

Stay warm! :earseek:

Hi Holli,
I have only read about the crawls but a bunch of DIS'ers arrange to meet and show the others their category of cabin. On our first Disney cruise we had the hidden porthole cabin-now this time its the obstructed verandah. We found that we spent alot of time in the cabin because of DD taking naps--(she never takes naps at home) so we decided to go with a verandah where we could enjoy the warm weather and the smell of seawater.

DH and I are 44, our DD will be almost 7. Are there any other DD's that age so far?

It is cold here-21 when I went to work this morning, but not alot of snow. We will be so ready for this cruise come February!

I go for Sunday mtg. but I went onto a website and looked up the Western Navigator and they show Jackpot Bingo at 10:00--so maybe 11:00, Karen?? After all Karen is bringing her Magic Bullet on the cruise.

I don't have a Magic Bullet but we did get some foam insulated sippie cups off Ebay for our cocktails. :earboy2:

Can't wait to meet you all.

Eddy

Hi Eddy!
Well this is our first cruise ever and decided to do it right! We havent vacationed in over 4 yrs. so we decided to go to a Cat 3. We had reserved a cat 4 but when we found out that a cat 3 was available we said lets go for itand paid for the upgrade. The cabin crawl sounds fun! I'm game!!

DH is 46, I'm 41 :guilty: We have DS who is 17 a DD who is 15 and a DS who is 3!!

It is cold here also!! Our thermometer read 1 below!! :cold:

I'll be seeing you at Bingo!!!

Got my Mickey samples from Home Depot yesterday!! Almost got everything together!!

Try to stay warm!! Sending sunshine your way!! :sunny:

Cabin crawl sounds fun. We're in a cat 10 down on deck 2. I guess I can't complain about the temps here in Detroit. At lease we're still in the double digits . . .

Rick

Good morning everyone!!!!
I am here in Florida and it is even a bit nippy today. I just cannot believe I do not know off the top of my head my cabin and Cat. My clothes are packed for my Feb cruise and I have no idea what deck or Cat... my bad??!!!
I have my Mickey Swatches from Home Depot.
I am doing a belated Christmas with my sister and her family the day before the cruise when she comes to Florida. I have gotten ALL 10 of us matching pj's and matching shirts and the girls matching Mickey bags and visors and all kinds of goodies. Yesterday, I wrapped ALL my Christmas presents and saw all the Disney stuff once again. I am SO excited!! :Pinkbounc
I am making a Mickey flag and then making chocolate ships and starfish and sand dollars for everyone too.I also made all of us girls sand dollar necklaces from sand dollars I got here out of the water!! I do need to wrap them yet. But I am way ready!!!!  4 more days til ressies!!! Karen
